Hotels near Bishamondo, Kitakyushu

這酒店cp值超超超高，首先房間很大，是我在日本住過最大的 一間，然後也很乾淨，還提供水，真的蠻不錯的物美價廉。

It is convenient to start the marathon. The tournament starts at 9 o'clock, but it is enough to check out after 8 o'clock here! (Luggage deposit is until 8:30) I was able to relax and spend a valuable time. If you are the second runner of the pair marathon, I think it would be good to move to Ogura station and leave large luggage such as suitcases in coin locker.

Crown Palace is an exquisite hotel on the Murasaki River bank, a river that springs from Mt. Fukuchi. One of the hotel’s main feature is its gorgeous terrace restaurant with direct access to the river walk. Riverwalk Kitakyushu is a prestigious shopping centre that includes theatres, restaurants, a multiplex cinema, NHK studios, the head offices of Zenrin Co. and the Asahi Shimbun and a branch of the Kitakyushu City Art Museum. My wife and I stayed 2 times in Crown Palace this year summing about one month. Some rooms have city view but I didn’t try any. I recommend the rooms with a view over the Murasaki river. The railway station is at 10 minutes walking distance. Kokura castle, the district’s main attraction, is just across the riverbank. This was not the first year to stay in Crown Palace, so I could observe the constancy of high quality services. I was mostly impressed by the lunch, not only by the food, its presentation, but also by the way it was served. I knew Crown Palace from few years ago for the French dinners. Unfortunately, during the pandemic, dinner restaurant was closed. I recommend the deluxe double room (see my pictures). Breakfast is very good, don’t miss it. If you stay long, as we did, and wish to try other places to eat, there are plenty of restaurants and cafeterias nearby.

There are no people and it is small. Easy to walk around as there are major tourist spots nearby. Close to Kokura Station and Don Quijote. Around 15 minutes. There are more shower booths than expected. It's ironic that there are men's shower rooms and toilets next to women's rooms. The women's shower room and toilet are separate from the women's room. But it doesn't matter much because it's close, but it just didn't match the movement. It is cold because the air conditioner is running 24 hours. The bed is covered with wood, making it a private room. It was comfortable because there was no need to face other people. Pillow covers and sheets are taken with you when you leave, so they look clean, but you don't know when to clean pillows and futon linings.

As others have said, the customer service was very good! The pajamas and pillows are a system that you can bring to the room by yourself, and the pillows provided in the room were very hard (laughs). The shopping street is right in front of the station, so you can enjoy it even if you go out! I felt that the customer service made up for the age and lack of amenities. The correspondence was really good!

The location is very good as it is right next to the monorail Tanga station. It only takes 10 minutes to walk to Kokura Station. There is a Family Mart right on the first floor, and although there are not many items, free breakfast is provided. You can also take amenities for free. This is my second visit and I intend to visit again when I visit Kitakyushu. The staff are also friendly

The room I booked that day was over 800 RMB. From the corridor to the room, the whole thing was very old, and the elevator always made noises. If you make a normal reservation for a hotel of this level, you can only accept 350 RMB. There are many cheap parking lots around, but the hotel staff did not inform us that the opposite side is the car park. Later, I saw that the opposite side was the most expensive. The front desk took away the parking ticket without telling us. We searched for it for a long time and thought we had lost it. Later, we asked and found out that it was returned to the guests the next day. The sound insulation is pretty good.

Overall, it was a good hotel. It is right next to the city center, so it is very accessible. I recommend it if you are going to be active near Kokura Station.
