A nice hotel with rustic charm. Bathroom very nice, however the tap may be a little slow due to age. The garden is beautiful and the staff very helpful.
It should be noted that the hotel parking should not be used, as much cheeper parking is also available close to the hotel, with the parking rules of the hotel parking being expensive, whilst if you take your car out of the bay you have to pay again.
Also as of 2023 they have some pretty amazing Quiche, 4.5*

2 The floor is at the front desk and you can issue two room keys with the check-in machine. When I checked in, I found out that it was a low floor on the 3rd floor, so I thought it was a game, but probably because it was New Year's Eve, the outside was relatively quiet and I could hardly hear any noise, and there is a hotel. Difference I couldn't hear any sound. Although it is a double bed, it is large, so I could sleep two people with plenty of room. It includes mineral water service. There is a drip coffee service on the front floor. The restaurant that can be seen from the street seems to be the breakfast venue. The only thing I was worried about was that the shower head was too high and too low. It was a stable Daiwa Roynet

It is the worst hotel I stayed in Fukuoka. The first trip with my love and everything was perfect. And we stayed Rakuten Stay Kokura Station in the last day of trip before early flight back to Hong Kong. The self check in system was convenient. We used only 5 mins and we can get room password. The interior design is good and tidy. But the toilet cleanliness is a disaster. A lot of brown stain distribute in toilet bowl and seat. The picture is disgusting along with its smell. We have to go down the self check in machine to find the customer service and request for room change. After a long waiting, and I got another room with same issue. Is almost 11pm and we have to catch early flight tomorrow, we completed our trip with this horrible stay and the mood and memory was destroyed. I do not understand how the cleanliness can be that horrible and doubt that no one check the room before guest check in ? It happen again after room change. I will not stay in Rakuten hotel again definitely.

It is a convenient business hotel with a 2-3 minute walk from the station. The receptionist was friendly and I was able to stay comfortably. You can have a drink with a welcome drink with coffee or lemon pickled fruits. Bathing agents and cheeks. The room is not small and clean with a good size. The shower head was a little disappointing because it was not a neck swing, but there was no problem if you had it in your hand. Breakfast is equipped with a fashionable cafe in the store and you can choose the standard number and the daily number. 1000 yen with one plate. I'm not good at yogurt, but I'm sure I'll come with it, so I can only say I don't need it. I thought I wanted something else. Near the hotel, there are many reasonable shops to eat, close to downtown Ogura, and I think it is a good business hotel overall.

Right next to JR Kokura Station so very convenient for people who take train. We drove so decided to park a little farther (less than 10min walking distance). As expected the room is not big, but clean and cosy. A food court style dining area (屋台)is right downstairs near the station where you can find a great variety of food such as barbecue, ox intestine hot pot (もつ鍋), sushi etc.

The location is excellent, next to Kokura Station, the main terminal station for JR and monorail. Convenient hotel in front of JR Ogura station north exit. It is one of the oldest hotels in JR Kyushu Hotel, and there is a part that the room facilities are obsolete, but the room is cleaned and the renovation seems to have been done, and there is a feeling of cleanliness. The accommodation fee is also cheap in front of the station. There was no noise in the next room which tended to be in a cheap hotel, and it was possible to spend comfortably. From the room, the Shinkansen platform was able to be seen, and if the ear was clear, the bell of the departure was heard, so it was good as a railway lover. I think it is cheaper to stay here even if you pay transportation costs because the hotel fee in Hakata is high. (If you make a net reservation, you can use the Hakata-Ogura limited Express seat (the same amount of free seats) 1470 yen) And the happy thing is that breakfast is free. There are some parts that are difficult to say that the menu is substantial, but I think it is enough because it is a free breakfast. Chocolate croissant and coffee were delicious. The staff is also good and I want to use it after the next time.

This is pribably the best hotel in mojiko, beautiful rooms and good location. Guests for the better rooms have access to the lounge providing drinks and snacks throughout afternoon and evening. However the premier deluxe room that we booked has a split level between the toilet and the bed areas. This is unsuitable and unsafe for people with handicap and elderly couple like us. We had no choice but to ask for downgrading to a normal room. A great disappointment.
However, we have to thank their staff for making an effort to relay our hearing aid which we left in the hotel in Hakata. They made sure that we received the ear piece in Kobe. We are very grateful.

Excellent
MMakimoonIt was a late check-in, but he politely explained the membership system. Even if you check in at 3 places, you were responding to customers who lined up. The room was very clean and I thought it was as the word 3 at the front desk. The parking lot was very affordable and handmade breakfast was prepared. Kitakyushu has a good business of handmade breakfast and is one of the fun. I was surprised that I was working after 22 o'clock and was near the front desk at 8 o'clock in the morning. I might be a manager, but I wanted to work hard so that I couldn't work too much. Although it was a single, the bed was spacious and comfortable. I was able to sleep enough with my son of an elementary school student. I want to use it if I have another chance. If the frequency increases, I want to become a member. There was a humidifier in the room and it was saved.
Ssai HyaIn conclusion, it was the best accommodation for this trip, but there were several issues.
Obviously, there is a luggage storage service in the accommodation service, but when I arrived, it was operated unmanned and I couldn't get any service. It's ridiculous to start your journey with your luggage.
And there was an issue in my room where the door lock didn't work, and I was able to solve this problem in an hour through a conversation with the manager. (The door wasn't closed tight, so I had to push it with strength.)
The room was in the best condition and everything in the bathroom and toilet was good. There were some inconveniences, but I told the master well and said that he would fix it, so I think it will be a better hotel.
Ttakayuki tIt is a medium-sized business hotel in Tapli at home. We used it for about 1 and a half years a few days ago. Smoking twin overnight stay 1 night 2 day plan online reservation. Payment (14850 yen) is check-in. Creka settlement. It is acceptable as a weekday rate just before the Bon Festival. Staff are friendly. However, there is no feeling of betabeta. Recommended is the night view from the view bath. The radio tower, the large Ferris wheel, the aquarium, etc. in the Karado area on the opposite shore are lit up and beautiful. Other information. Breakfast tickets are also available for guests who stay overnight. The family passed, but I only got miso soup. Note that the free shuttle bus to Moji Port Station is extremely small in the daytime. The last flight from Moji Port Station to the hotel is 9 p.m. The parking lot for guests is paid for the Kanmon Strait Fireworks Festival (8/13). It's quite a price.
GGuest UserThis is not a hotel, homestay to be more exact , but it the entire block , maybe 9 room in small building that is dedicated for tourist stay purpose, so I guess semi hotel semi homestay. First of all, there is no one in the building that is going to welcome , greet or say hello to you, You be given pin to enter, self check in process and go to your room. From outside it look small, but as soon I got in my room, this is the largest room I stayed in my entire trip to to Kyushu. There is enough space for my kids to run around, so you imagine that, is even larger than most studio apartment and come with large screen tv, fridge, simple cooking, oven, and etc, almost like a resident home. At first I am still skeptical about non hotel stay in Japan, but after this I am very confident, I looking forward again my stay with Grand Base. Don't worry about the location , just within 10 minute walk away from the station, so If we can do it with luggage and 2 kids, I think most people can do it with confidence.
HHONGTen minutes from the train station, the hotel is small, Japanese-style rooms, and light. After we registered, we went to play, the luggage was already in the room, and the bed could help you. The hot springs are upstairs, and several layers have been forgotten. I changed the yukata to the raft, and there were few people in the bubble. There were four people in total, the water was very hot, and there was a massage chair at the door to stretch. Breakfast is on the second floor, the meal is simple, overall Kokura is quiet, this hotel is also quiet. If you go out to eat, there is a market, the name can't be remembered, it's quite big, there is a restaurant such as Lan Ramen, and you can go shopping after eating.
ゆゆっき833The appearance and interior were very nice. The retro atmosphere of the elevator was good. The breakfast buffet was delicious and enjoyed. I will definitely use it if I have the opportunity to go to Nagasaki again.
OOtterbox_12I loved everything about the guest house. Our own lockers and storage were perfect, the living room was so homey it felt like a living room. People were nice and spoke Japanese as well as English. I came to japan looking for a full, immersive experience and this was the perfect place. Fun location next to markets, bars, food, close to Kokura castle and the river walk. To me, it’s a better way to experience japan instead of a hostel where everyone only speaks English, and you might forget you’re traveling in another country. I loved it, for me it was home.
TTraveler814792The convenient point is that the limousine bus stop at Kitakyushu Airport is in front of you. There is also a convenience store there. The trouble is that the heating in winter is weak. When I stayed two years ago, I made the temperature setting of the room 30 degrees Max in February, but it is only about 24 degrees, and it is the place of the thermometer, and the temperature of the body is colder I got a blanket and went to bed. Also, when I drained the bath, the floor of the toilet was overflowing with hot water and I had to repair it. If it was not midwinter, the bed was large and might be good.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is at a prime location, close to the Kokura station, shopping malls, Kokura Castle, Tanga market, streets of bars…and there are two convenient stores downstairs so you don’t need to worry about getting hungry at midnight.
The price is reasonable and the facilities are sufficient.
The fact that staff still don’t speak much English makes it hard to be internationally welcoming.
