I used the wedding anniversary plan. It was a cloudy and chilly day with snow still here and there, but thanks to the hotel staff it was a warm and enjoyable trip. Of course, there was no air conditioning anymore, including the room. There are two hot spring baths, both of which have an indoor bath and an open-air bath. The two baths are switched between the "women's bath" and the "men's bath" on a daily basis, so you can enjoy the scenery from both open-air baths. Most of all, you can see Mt. Bandai. Perhaps because the number of guest rooms is relatively small, the maximum number of people who can enter the bath painting together during my stay is about 5, so I can comfortably fit in. The room was a classic twin, but it's enough for two people. However, the wash basin and the room are cool, so I think it would be better if you can stay with someone who can gargle in front of you. Yukata and bathrobes are provided. "The amenities are more than enough, so you don't have to worry about forgetting your facial cleanser." Both breakfast and dinner are served in the same main dining room. For dinner, I chose a French course and for breakfast the next day, I chose a Japanese meal. As I wrote at the beginning, all the staff are not stuck in a mold, but they are able to respond comfortably, and it seems that it makes me feel even more delicious when eating.　When taking a bath, you can come and go in the yukata and slippers provided in your room, but other than that, there is no dress code for meals, so you can enjoy it comfortably. Once you have checked in at the front desk, you can relax while enjoying the newspapers and books from the hotel's collection while enjoying coffee or tea at the Library Lounge, which is available to all guests. It was a nice bonus. There is also a small exhibition room in the building, and an exhibition was held this time. There seemed to be other bars and chapels, but I didn't use them. The [delicious water from Mt. Bandai] that I could drink during meals and at the dressing room in the large public bath was mellow and delicious. * All-you-can-drink. We stayed for our wedding anniversary, so we were able to get a commemorative photo and a souvenir, and have good memories after returning home. This was my first time using it and I was nervous, but I would like to use it again. My only disappointment was that there was a nice tree between my room and Mt. Bandai, which made it a little difficult to see. (I took it back in the public bath)

Wonderful scenery and strolling around Yarokunuma The space and atmosphere of the hotel are very relaxing. The furniture and interior were stylish. I think you will really enjoy it.

In November 2021, the government is planning to resume GOTO Travel in late January the following year, so I immediately made a reservation for late January 2022. Even if I made a reservation first, even if the GOTO was implemented after that, it would be eligible for a discount, so I didn't have to make a reservation again, so I made a reservation for the time being. However, since the beginning of the year, the number of people infected with corona has increased rapidly, and it has become a "prevention", and it has become a situation where "a state of emergency may be declared." Because of that, I had no choice but to pay the cancellation fee because the cancellation notification came at the last minute. This hotel charges a cancellation fee from one week in advance. Well, that's fine. I made a reservation knowing that. It's a rule, so I followed it. Two days after I received the invoice, I transferred the cancellation fee of 28,000 yen. The 28,000 yen was really painful, but I thought that the hotel business would be hard due to the corona virus, so I paid it with the intention of donating it. However, after that is why this hotel is "third rate". There is not even a word of thanks to the customer who quickly paid the cancellation fee of 28000 yen. I didn't stay, but I paid for it, so I think I'm a fine "guest". I stay at 10 to 15 hotels a year, but this is the first time I've ever been to a hotel that treats me so badly. In the past, the same thing happened at a certain long-established luxury hotel, but a "hotel voucher of the same amount" was enclosed along with a "thank you letter" for payment of the cancellation fee. Another hot spring ryokan sent us a thank-you letter and an assortment of ryokan original souvenirs. Despite this situation, it is only natural for a business person to say "thank you" to a customer who was unable to use the hotel and still paid the "fee" of the cancellation fee. Even if there are no hotel vouchers or souvenirs, shouldn't there be a "thank you note"? By the way, I stayed at both the above-mentioned long-established hotel and hot spring inn on another occasion after that, and they treated me very politely. This is what I mean by "first class hotel". "Urabandai Kogen Hotel, a third-class hotel in the countryside," was made to pay a cancellation fee of 28,000 yen and did not even offer a word of thanks. I have no intention of booking again.
