Premier Inn Pontefract North

The room was so warm. The fan did nothing and no air conditioning. The room smelt of stale beer. Brewersfayre. What a dump. The table we were sat at was against a dirty and stained wall. Table was sticky. We were the only people in the restaurant and nobody told us we had to order at the bar until after 20 minutes of sitting and we asked. Waitress who took our plates away spoke food all over the food and didn’t bother to come. Ack and clean it up. Only 1 person taking food orders whilst also trying to serve drinks at the bar. Asked for a vodka and lemonade and was offered Bacardi instead 🤷🏻‍♀️would we return? Not to this one.

Our one night stay at Premier Inn, North Pontefract was a tale of two halves. The hotel room was fairly basic but clean and comfortable and gave us a good night’s sleep. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our experience at the restaurant however was a completely different story. The food, when it eventually arrived after a 45 minute wait, was mediocre and the staff were rude and unprofessional. They clearly didn’t want to be there. Some more training on people skills is a necessity .

There was no problem with the Premier Inn Lady on reception was very friendly and helpful room was clean a very comfortable bed.The problem is with the Brewers Fabre restaurant next door don’t eat there. Ordered a cheese and bacon burger waited 55 minutes when it arrived it was cold even the chips I gave it back within 5 minutes the waiter brought it back out it was obvious that it had just been put in microwave was not a fresh cooked burger chips were all dry and had a hair on them heard a man say he had waited 1 hour and the lady at the next table waited hour and a half for fish and chips which was look warm,the place wasn’t that busy and they closed the bar at 9 o’clock without telling any one stay away from this restaurant/pub

Both me & my wife had a lovely night & slept well after ordeal of a car drive from Kent, but enjoyed good time at Pontefract, J&D

A perfect stop off on a long journey. Room was clean and big enough for the 4 of us, the purple nightlight on the headboard was so useful. We had breakfast at the pub next door which was great value and to stock up for the remaining journey. The kids had a good run around at the playground. I noticed an indoor soft play too but it wasn't open that morning. There's a little kids area with a few books and toys in the hotel lobby which was a nice touch. Bed was comfy and the hotel was easy to get to off our route.

Stayed here for two nights, have to say a little disappointed. The receptionist was quite dismissive of me and was more interested in playing on her phone. The rooms were okay, but only okay and the noise from the squeaking doors was incredibly irritating. Next door for a good breakfast pushed this from 2* to 3*. More attention to detail required.

We are regulars here when visiting family, hotel was as expected, clean and to say it was busy.. the room was very quiet. The rooms miss air con but there was a fan in the room. A special thanks to Monika for helping fix my son’s army toy 😊 we’ll be returning

Well wow I had a great night at this hotel it broke my journey up on the way to see family I only stayed the one night but everything was great Ideal place for the motorway network Near towns if I needed anything I was greeted straight away with such friendliness nothing was too much trouble the receptionist was so welcoming and informative Nice bubbly atmosphere Thank you Sue When I’m next over this way if I need somewhere to stay I will be Back

I stayed here on business, such a great place, ideally situated for motorway links too! The receptionist Sue was lovely, very welcoming and couldn't do enough. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable all in all a gem of a place, I will be back !
