The rooms were not clean at all . Lot of dust and dirty bathrooms . Front desk people are nice but was no way to get any favors like changing the days of staying do to unclean rooms . We left earlier 1 day than we planned and payed for . We did not get refund .

This is our second time staying and just as happy. We came for UT college tour with two dogs. All staff were so friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice,spacious and comfortable. The hotel restaurant is delicious. Its right next to the The Worlds Fair park that leads to the Greenway river walk. I will stay here every time I'm in the area!

Receptionist staff who checked us in and immediately helped with our need to add one night to my reservation and maintenance person who helped us with mercurial Keurig coffee in our room particularly excellent!

We truly enjoyed our time at the Tennessean. When we arrived, we were met by the valet staff who assisted us with bags and our car. The lobby had an understated elegance with fresh flowers. The front desk folks were prompt and personable. We were in a King City view, and the room was well appointed. The bathroom (especially the shower) was large, and we were provided with Moulton Brown products. The bed was a little soft to my husband's liking--but that's his personal taste-it was fine for me. I enjoyed the little touches, the robes and slippers in the room, the tea time in the evening, and even the bottle of Prosecco on ice we were surprised with in our room for our anniversary. We retrieved our car several times during our stay, and the staff was always prompt and courteous. Even when we checked out, the front desk asked if we wanted drinks for our drive, and sent us with a few of cans of cold soda and water for our 8 hour drive home. Overall, if you are looking for a nice place to stay in Knoxville, I would recommend the Tennessean.
