Excellent stay! No complaints. Rooms were clean, halls were quiet, all offered amenities were available. Would absolutely stay here again. Holiday Inn Express probably has the best breakfast in the industry. This is located near the famous McKay’s, a huge used books, music, and video game and collectibles store. This hotel has all the makings for a premier city hotel: location, being adjacent to the convention center, as well as downtown restaurants and more; the appearance is very nice, from the lobby to the room itself; and the staff shows that approach to service one looks for when traveling. All of this and more, and it sounds like we are headed for a nice quality stay: But not so fast…. The Good: The lobby is simply beautiful, with clean modern lines, but still giving that welcoming feel. The front desk help was simply amazing: Abbi and Abbey were genuinely friendly, knowledgeable and prompt: Enjoyed my conversation with them, and the valuable information learned. And of course there’s Ed, an older “guest relations”type gentleman, who greets everyone with a complimentary glass of champagne; and somehow remembers the names of each and everyone he speaks too; remarkable. The rooms are modern and inviting; even the bathrooms have a nice upscale feel to them. So far, I’m overly impressed, especially in this price range…. But The Bad: Not a deal breaker, but when opting to pay more for a room with a view, we didn’t exactly get one from our 3rd floor room. A friend of ours booked a normal room, and ended up on the 5th floor with a view; and for much less money. Feels like paying for an upgrade is a waste of money. Also: Off n on during the night, emergency vehicles were blasting up n down Henley Street with the sirens blaring. I certainly understand being in the city, you’d expect this on a normal basis; but the walls of the hotel certainly showed their thinness. These sirens were very loud, and we weren’t even in a room facing Henley. This isn’t the fault of the hotel, but still worth noting. And then there’s the $28 fee for valet parking(no self parking). It just seems a bit much in my opinion. The valet guys do a nice job, so I’d rather tip them more, as to see the hotel charge this much. The Ugly: I hate to find anything that qualifies as a deal breaker, but… We returned from dinner, and couldn’t get the tv to tune in: I’m not sure why it said “no signal or connection”… No big deal, as we were worn out from all the youth basketball games we attended, but it would’ve been nice to at least watch a few mins of something. But the one major letdown I cannot overlook, was an A/C unit malfunction. We woke up to a pool of sweat, and called the front desk. The gentleman showed up, looked at it, and said he could have engineering look at it at 7am. Well, not sure what he thought we’d do for sleep, as it was simply too hot to just doze on off: And strangely and disappointingly, no one ever followed up the next day. Of course this type of hotel design doesn’t have windows that can be used for ventilation, so there was no relief period. I don’t think either of us rested much if any, so it pretty much ruined the entire stay. Things happen, but maybe an offer to move us to another room, which wasn’t an easy task in the middle of the night,

This was our best hotel stay in ages. We were checked in by Natalie, who was friendly, helpful, and just fun. She made sure to get us a quiet room and made sure we were clear on how to get to our evening's destination. Our room was comfortable and well appointed. The wifi took a bit of finagling to get connected, but once we got it connected, it stayed connected and worked well. We slept soundly and comfortably, waking up refreshed. Check out went smoothly. We'll return if possible.

Probably the nicest of the Embassy suite locations I have visited! Right in the heart of Downtown Knoxville's Theatre District. You are walking distance to entertainment, shopping, restaurants - one block down from Market Square where live concerts are held and a less than 10 minute drive to University of Tennessee campus. And that's just the location! The amenities are remarkable and the hotel itself seems brand new with very upscale modern feel to it. Their cocktail reception is on the second floor with an outdoor setting option as well as an amazing rooftop bar (separate from the hotel-so guests cannot charge to room) that spilled into the hotel's swanky rooftop pool and lounge area. I enjoyed a full moon and a couple of glasses up there. There was an expanded market with an array of toiletries, snacks, microwavable foods, a wide variety non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages as well as an entire gift/souvenir section for UTK fans! There is also a local market across the street for anything more that you might think of. The room was a generous space with the usual closed door bedroom. The decor was minimalist sleek, the bed was extremely comfortable and everything was clean. I really appreciated the motion sensor night light in the bathroom. Breakfast was well staffed and always replenishing the food and coffee, extensive with the usual omelet station and a very nice dining area overlooking the grand main lobby. I will say the fitness center, although a nice facility with brand new equipment and provided just a little more than your usual few treadmills and a rack of free weights, it is strangely located right at the entrance of the hotel with glass windows all around for anyone to see walking by the hotel or into the hotel. So I did not use it. Also, I understand why there is only valet for this hotel as parking is a challenge downtown. It would be nice to inform guests that they have the option to park in the public garage where the 3rd level walk way leads directly to the hotel. We were only informed of this once we had already checked in and our car was with valet. All in all, we would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Knoxville - it really felt like a Conrad hotel but at Embassy Suite prices!

I wish they wouldn't mow the grass right right under my window @ 7:30 and then blow grass with that loud blower.Checkout is 11:00 how about then. I was trying to sleep. I had orange colored food on my white bed cover. I could scratch it off so it had not been washed.. I would like a blanket to cover up with. That cover is not very warm. This is my 4th stay there. I come for dr appointments. Everyone is very nice and friendly and it seems very clean and s m ells good!

GGuest UserGreat Hampton/Hilton facility. Spacious, suite, large bath, separate coffee/bar nook. All modern amenities. And sooo clean. The staff is beyond pleasant. Delightful check in with Perry. Would stay here again. This is the nicest Hampton so far on our 2-week trip.
Rrandybeaty2020Under normal conditions this hotel would be too expensive for an expense report. But since services, like the hot breakfast buffet had to be cut back due to Covid-19 restrictions, this hotel adjusted the nightly charge. So I got a studio apartment with a fully equipped kitchen for a week. Loved the staff. Very professional as well as generous. Within walking distance to Walmart and restaurants.
GGuest UserTarget, West town mall, Starbucks, tj maxx, the wash house laundromat, etc. There are just so many businesses within 100 ft of this hotel it’s so convenient to everything!
GGuest UserFirst of all let me say the smell when you walk in that greets you is curry. To the point it burns your nose. Certain parts of the hall smelled like a litter box. Rooms needed updated. Barely hot water with no pressure. The mattress was outdated. Would only stay if no other place available.
CCumbrianlad86Upon arriving at the BW we should of know this wasn't going to be ideal. Very quiet car park, reception area vet unkempt. Checked in and had a walk around, Pool Area is disgusting, unclean and very unsafe. AC units in rooms falling to bits and very noisy. Cracks in sinks, mouldy shower curtain. Plus smelled like they had cleaned with TCP. Beds very uncomfortable and lumpy. Breakfast...well paper plates.. New food piled on old... paper cups and not a table wiped down. Was suppose to be here for 3 nights.. checked out and moved on! Would not reccomend
KKent GI've stayed this hotel many times when I come visit back to Knoxville. I was in for my 45th class reunion this past weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the centralized location of this hotel! I will always stay there every time I come in to Knoxville because I get a good rate with my Wyndham app as well as it's inner centralized location for me to meet family and friends!
