This is a beautiful place located right on the water. A boat ride is included in your stay, and was very relaxing. Breakfasts were delicious and generous. Their suggestions for dinner options were spot on. The young man who drove the boat, and waited at breakfast, was especially helpful.

Ample parking, great location. The staff were incredible. A special thanks to Sandy and Norman, anything we need or wanted was all to easy. Thoroughly recommend staying here.

Everything was just perfect. All the pictures of the hotel on the website are the reflect of what we did find when we arrived at St James. Thank again for upgrading us to a better room. We will certainly stay again at Saint James if we have the chance to come back to Knysna

We had a lovely stay with a beautiful view and a complimentary boat ride that was incredibly relaxing. Sandy, who heads the hotel, was superb and always helpful, greeting us with a smile. Elijah provided brilliant service, always eager to assist, and Unnati welcomed us warmly. While the food options were limited, the staff made an effort to cook something decent for us. Overall, a very enjoyable experience!

It is a palace overlooking a lake and has been converted into a hotel, it has team to manage and service the hotel with a distinguished level and treatment. They have a delicious and varied breakfast . Staying in this hotel requires a car to go the city center. The best rooms have a direct view of the lake and the back rooms have some noise from the kitchen ventilation fans when they running. Highly recommended the free lake tour.

Stayed here in July with my wife and had an excellent time. Staff was friendly and very helpful. We had diner here and although this staff mentioned it was a light meal, it was excellent. Very good breakfast too.

This is a small, boutique luxury hotel. Many small hotels are described as five stars but they don’t all live up to the rating. However this one does. It is stunning. The staff are incredible and the service is fabulous. We had the suites overlooking the lagoon and it was like being a royal visitor. The attention to detail, the personal service and the whole welcoming team made it an incredible stay. Wish we had more time there. Also a special shout out to the team at breakfast. Fantastic friendly quick service and nothing was too much trouble for them.

Een heerlijk Hotel in Engelse stijl wat ligt aan de prachtige Laguna van Knysna. Kleinschalig Hotel, zeer persoonlijk en een laagbouw maar desondanks met 2 zwembaden. Zeer royale kamers met uitstekende bedden, schoon en opties om koffie dan wel thee te zetten. Het heeft geen Restaurant voor diner maar wel een heerlijke ontbijtruimte waar een prima ( Engels ) breakfast wordt geserveerd. Daarnaast beschikt het Hotel over een eigen en luxe boot waarmee over de Laguna kan worden gevaren en tussendoor uit een picknickmand drankjes complementair zijn.
