We booked a hotel on the spur of the moment. It didn't have a high online rating, so there were some vacancies. After checking in, we found it was okay. There were almost no tourists on the beach in front. If you like quietness, Koh Mak is indeed a good resort.

Good location, there are many cafes and motorbike rentals nearby, unlike other places on Mak Island, there is a swimming pool, breakfast is a standard buffet, the room was on the second floor on the edge, huge, with a beautiful balcony overlooking the pool and the sea, the only downside is one towel for everything 😄😄 and the worst thing is the Wi-Fi, not only is it slow, but it also constantly cuts out ☹️☹️, but it’s not bad at all.

It probably was a great place to stay years ago, but not anymore! Avoid! Staff are renting there own motorbikes to try and make an extra buck, normally I’m up for this but they tried to give me some broken bike and smiled as if it was ok. There was a mistake with my booking so I couldn’t get the room I paid for so I had to pay for an upgraded room which I happily did. Trip.com offered to refund me so all I needed from the hotel was a receipt to show Trip.com but because the receptionist didn’t put me through the system and just pocketed the extra money that I had to pay in cash, she couldn’t give me a receipt, now I’m caught up in this scam they have going. I obviously was not able to leave a tip after all this weirdness, I have never in all 50 years of staying in hotels been asked to pay for the hotels mistake. Usually upgrades are free as an apology for not providing what was originally advertised and paid for.

Points positifs : - ponton et plage privatifs - chambre familiale immense avec belle terrasse - personnel très agréable et souriants - départ en speed boat sur place direction Koh Kood Points négatifs : - restaurant désert et petit déjeuner basiques - scooters moyens

Sehr schöne ältere Anlage mit gepflegter Außenanlagen direkt am Meer. Gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Gerne wieder
Abholung vom Ao Nid Pier für 20 THB pro Person mit Elektro-Golfcart muss vorab angemeldet werden.
Leider wieder einmal viel zu wenig Liegen am Meer
