The location is fabulous, right on a beautiful beach with stunning sunsets. The room was good with swimming pool right outside. The breakfast was a bit chaotic with long queues for coffee and eggs. The village restaurants were great.

Great resort located by the beach. There is a perfect view of the beach where you can watch sunrise and sunsets while sipping on some cocktails from their bar. The staff was friendly and ready to assist. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and will definitely come back!👌🏽

Overall a good stay. Feels like it’s one of the best on the island. If you’re looking for a really quiet town with lots of sun and relaxation, this is it.
Resort food leaves something to be desired. There is much better (and cheaper) food up the road within a few steps. Cleanliness is on par with the what I’ve seen elsewhere in Thailand.
Would go back!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Breakfast was tasty, beach was great, the room was clean, and the staff were very kind and friendly, even giving us free late check-out to help accommodate us while we did a half-day boat tour. Love Koh Yao Yai and really enjoyed the Royal Yao Yai!

We booked the Phe Phe island .
This came up as an option.
Sadly it was on another island.
So we had to book another hotel on Phe Phe island when we arrived. Luckily we got some where to stay .

The room is quite large, there are three swimming pools, and the exclusive beach around it is very nice. It is convenient for catching sea babies and I like it. It is very suitable for a leisurely vacation.
I bought a two-day package and the hotel is responsible for picking up and dropping off from Chong Lard Pier. The staff's service attitude is good and they can remember every resident. I stayed for three days and two nights. I didn't meet any Chinese tourists. Most of them were white people. There are local restaurants nearby. It was quite a lot and the price was reasonable. Unfortunately, the family was a little acclimated and had a poor appetite, so they didn't eat much. The sand digging tools for children in the small shops around are a bit expensive, so it is recommended to bring your own

Very nice and quiet hotel with a direct location on the beach. During our stay the hotel was not fully booked and we were able to get a lounger on the beach at any time. However, I imagine it will be difficult if the hotel is fully booked because the hotel doesn't have that many loungers. The rooms are nicely decorated and modern. The breakfast is not quite designed for our European tastes. But you can also go without your usual breakfast for a few days on vacation. A little more types of cheese than cold cuts would also be desirable.

The complex offers a spacious pool, direct beach access and an attractive breakfast buffet. The sunsets here are also fantastic. The rooms are spacious, clean and the bathroom is particularly comfortable. In addition, most of the employees are extremely friendly and accommodating.
CONS:
Unfortunately, there are no loungers on the beach (there are only bean bags near the bar) and the few with a view of the beach are reserved early in the morning by guests who often don't show up until midday. The vast majority of hotel guests are German-speaking holidaymakers. The WiFi is unreliable and often works slowly or not at all.
CONCLUSION:
Given the unsatisfactory price-performance ratio of over €115 per night, we can only award four stars instead of five (but the price probably depends heavily on the season).
