Ramada Resort Cochin

Really recommend, so beautiful landscape and pool,

Good service

We stayed at the Ramada by Wyndham Kochi on June 3rd for two nights. The room was spacious, well-maintained, and very clean, with all the necessary amenities. Although our room didn’t have a great view, the hotel does offer lake and pool view rooms, which looked lovely. The pool was large, well-kept, and even had a pool bar, which was a nice touch. The hotel has excellent amenities, including a gym with a lake view and a kids' activity room where our son enjoyed playing table tennis. There are several restaurants to choose from as well. The buffet breakfast had a lot of options, which was great for vegetarians like us. However, we were disappointed that there was an extra charge for our 9-year-old's breakfast. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and I would happily choose this hotel again if I return to Kochi.

This apparently 5* hotel can be reached only by a terrible road with so many potholes - it is not advisable to go there if you do not have a four wheel drive with extremely good suspension. The hotel feels dead, eerie, and full of concrete. The hotel looks like an office block with rooms that match the outside. Our room was so noisy we could not sleep at all. The staff were driving trolleys up and down the corridors all night and the room doors are so heavy they make a huge bang on closing. We asked to move rooms which was arranged. Our next room was much quieter and we were able to sleep. The bathroom was clean, the bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast is basic. No decent coffee, no espresso, no coffee without milk. I understand we are in India - but this is a 5* hotel… The waiters come in large numbers but have to be asked to do their jobs multiple times. There is no fresh bread. I understand that staff tries their best, but I do not think they are trained or managed properly. Before coming to Cochin, we stayed in Radisson Blu in Goa - which was completely different, showing that 5* standards can be maintained. I am sorry to have to write such a bad review for a hotel in a wonderful country, whose hospitality extends beyond anything ever encountered.

Unexpectedly poor service, don’t fall for the swimming pool you saw on Google with the vibrant happy pictures. Lacks basic amenities that will ruin your experience when you step in. There were complaints we made during our stay and ultimately we checked out early as we were over the poor experience by then. These are just some of the bad facilities and services that had occurred: Leaking Bathroom Complimentary tea sachets provided were old and sticky Blaring music in hotel premises from the Royal Club till 11 o’clock in the night Lack of lighting in the pool area and slippery stairs led to fall and injury. The swimming pool area was unsupervised. Fennel restaurant served incomplete and half cooked breakfast (a’la Carte) Duty manager was helpful but overall Poor hospitality and awful customer service. I will not be going back to Ramada chain. Definitely don’t recommend if you want a peaceful trip.

We had an amazing experience during our one-night stay at the Ramada in Kochi. The hotel’s swimming pool was fantastic and made for some great family fun. The breakfast buffet had a wonderful spread, with plenty of delicious options to choose from. Our room was spotless, cozy, and comfortable, providing the perfect setting for a relaxing stay. My family and I had a lovely time, and we would absolutely recommend the Ramada in Kochi to anyone looking for a great stay with excellent amenities!
