The Tamara Kodai

The people and their service is really good. They are sweet and make you feel comfortable and welcome. Big thanks to the gardening team, housekeeping team, Ebi, Dr Aparna, concierge and the restaurant staff. They always show up with a smile. Dinner was an all inclusive (unlimited) from the a la carte menu and the food was mild in terms of flavour. I guess we have to mention how strong of a flavour profile we prefer. Although the breakfast buffet had some wonderful options, we did notice that the spread was far too small compared to any other breakfast buffet we have had (Tamara Coorg comes to mind). It is definitely expensive but the infrastructure, cleanliness and the staff make it worth the money. I would suggest to skip the restaurant if you are on a budget

We came here for our honeymoon. The hotel was great. They made it special for us. I eat jain food and they made a lot of arrangements to give me multiple options. The hotel has a lot of activities. Everyone keeps checking in to ensure you're having a smooth ride. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful!

Special mention goes to Sneha, Anto, Solomon, and Selva, whose warm and attentive service added a personal touch to our experience. Their friendly conversations and genuine care made us feel truly welcome. One instance that stood out was Selva, the chef, who went the extra mile to fulfil a craving close to my Tamilian heart. Yearning for garlic rasam in the chilly weather, I casually mentioned it during a conversation. The next evening, Selva surprised us by including it in the dinner buffet, despite it not being on the menu. This thoughtful gesture exemplified top-tier hospitality. **Activities and Location** The property is conveniently located—close enough to explore Kodaikanal's popular spots, yet tucked away to ensure peace and privacy. During our stay, we walked to Dolphin’s Nose, a breathtaking viewpoint. For those who prefer not to walk, the property offers transportation. However, as avid walkers, we opted to hike both ways and soaked in the natural beauty. We also strolled into town and around the iconic Kodai Lake. While the hub of Kodaikanal’s activities is within reach, The Tamara Kodai’s secluded setting provides a welcome retreat from the town's hustle and bustle. **Final Thoughts** If you’re looking for a blend of natural beauty, exceptional service, and a dash of luxury, The Tamara Kodai is the perfect getaway. It’s not just a place to stay—it’s an experience that leaves you with warm memories and a refreshed spirit.

Hi....am stayed in tamara kodai with my family for 3 days in November its one of the wonderful stay i experienced in my life ... all staffs are super friendly and our special thanks to sneha foods are amazing especially for my 1.5 years old daughter foods are prepared exclusively as we prepared in our home thanks to south indian chef selva . We ll visit again 🔜 for everything we experienced 😊

We made a spontaneous plan to visit, and from the moment we arrived, the hospitality was outstanding. Special appreciation goes to Chef Selvakumar, whose exceptional food elevated our experience and allowed us to fully enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. Additionally, the housekeeping manager Lakshmi ensured a comfortable and perfectly clean environment, adding to our sense of ease and enjoyment. The entire staff was attentive and welcoming, treating every guest with the same high level of care and quality, no matter how busy it was. Plasant stay with nice views. The property had some activities and a nice location in the middle of the trees. We had a good time staying and enjoying the location. The staff were friendly. Food was good.
