As good as expected, the hotel is in an area. I was a little afraid of getting lost at first, but later it was okay as long as I got familiar with it. Remember the way to the beach and the way to the main street. The hotel area is well greened and comfortable, and there are fewer people living on this beach than on the White Beach, so it is very quiet and suitable for lying down, whether in the room or on the beach. The hotel also has a swimming pool, but I sat on the beach this time and didn't experience it. This room type is an independent cottage. It takes one or two minutes to walk along the path to the beach. Even in the room, you can see a little bit of the sea. The beach is a restaurant open to the public and also a place to eat breakfast. There are few people on the beach, very comfortable. If you are lucky, you can meet a baby elephant that provides tourists with a bathing experience. There is no fire show in the restaurant on this beach. If you want to see a fire show, go to the White Beach. It is also within walking distance from the main street. There are 711, restaurants, souvenir shops, massage shops, and everything else on the main street. There is an elephant park not far away, which provides various elephant experience projects. If you are lucky, you can even see elephants walking on the road. Thanks to the Chinese families who occasionally show up with their kids to experience the program, we passers-by have the chance to see it by the way. Overall, I like it very much. If I go there next time, I will probably consider it again.

What I liked: Beachfront villa was really nice, the porch furniture was highly appreciated and sleeping to the sound of the waves was perfect. The villa itself is not the most modern one or the cleanest one, but it has everything you need. Location – right on Kai Bae beach, close to a lot of shops and restaurants and sometimes you can see the elephants in the water. The bar is nice for sunset, the people are very friendly and the drinks are good. What I did not like: Breakfast - one of the worse food qualities around the island. The butter is actually the vegetable margerine thing, low selection on fruits (pinneaple and grapes?), one type of yogurt which is very sweet and filled with sugar, even the spring rolls and pancakes seem frozen. No beach chairs available – maybe this would be nice at least for the beachfront villas. The beach gets super crowded during the day (at least in high season) so you barely have any place to relax. Also - it is a beach with a lot of families with kids, so it is always very very very noisy - not event on nice deck of your bungalow you cannot get some quiet time during the day. The 2 massage beds are right next to the bar and to the lawn where the big families with kids gather. There is no privacy or no way to enjoy the relaxing waves during the massage because of the bar noises and the kids scraming on the lawn litteraly 2 meters away from you. Spoty electricity and wifi – I have to say that the days and nights were very windy and this could be related.

The hotel is in a good location relative to the beach and local shops. At the exit from the hotel there is a tent with fruits and shakes. 7/11 200 meters. Perfect. Tomorrows were very decent for this price category. The reception has been updated and looks very stylish and modern. The lobby bar has a decent coffee shop. Ideal for a family with children!!! Young couples will be bored. Elephants are brought to the beach to swim. Cheerful) I'll take off a point for the cloudy sea and the lack of sunbeds on the beach. If there were sunbeds it would definitely be 5 points from me.

The setting is very beautiful. The bungalows are comfortable. The cocktails are very good. Now let's come to the deplorable service both at the bar and in the restaurant. I have never seen such deplorable staff. They are very lazy. Spend their time on their cell phones. We really feel like we're bothering them when we place an order. They never clear the bar or tables...you have to plan to order dishes or drinks well in advance. In two words they “don’t care”…really a shame Very surprising behavior given the usual quality of service in Thailand. I would hope that management would take the comments into account, but I highly doubt it because we had the impression that there was no manager...
