Traveling to Koh Chang on Songkran Day, if the Accor Group uses benefits, it must be considered. Mercure Koh Chang Hideaway booked a Standard room but was upgraded to a Deluxe Seaview room and received Platinum benefits. Quite complete. The room is okay. I like it because I have to pay only 1,402 baht per night. The room is full due to a long holiday. I'm glad I upgraded. I have reserved 3 rooms, there are welcome drinks for all 3 rooms. For dinner, most of the guests leave their stomachs at the Buffet Hotel because it is Songkran Festival. Accor Plus cannot use the discount at all. The price is not expensive, only 530 baht per person, but.. Phra Chuay Thai food is delicious. Anyone staying here recommends trying Thai food. The happy hour here is satisfyingly long from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Anyone who eats the buffet will receive a buy 1 free 1 promotion until 10:00 p.m., very worthwhile. The highlight of this place is a lot of photo angles, and taking beautiful photos, but the beach is not okay, which is a weak point. The sea water is hardly played because there are a lot of rocks. I mostly stay at the swimming pool 100% recommend if anyone sleeps here to relax and snorkel on the last day, come back to swim at the pool, take chic photos and eat buffet 🙂 Breakfast is quite suitable for Thai people, focusing on spicy Thai food. It also has my favorite pizza. The hotel has a Starbucks on the beach but does not participate in a star or membership program. For me, April 13-15 is a rest day. I'm pretty happy here. Let's just say for Accor members or group members. If anyone comes to Koh Chang, recommend here. You can get both nights and points. If there is any problem during your stay, I suggest you don't wait, hurry and share with him. He knows the problem and is ready to take care of it immediately. Come to Koh Chang next time, Mercure is still our choice.

OK why am I giving 3 and not a 5 star rate, for a couple of key points, but let's start with a positive points. Great location, and beautiful property, nice pool (although at the time we visited the pool was green it didn't bother us but it might bother you) and facilities. Nice breakfast, good happy hour. Nice rooms with great balconies. Now into the details that I didn't like. - The room wasn't well clean, since day 1, even when we checked in we didn't have towels and had to wait couple of hours to get towels and after requesting several times. We also noticed that all floors had different cleaning staff, maybe we weren't lucky, we were on the room 233. - Poor and old amenities in the room. We had a super old shower cap in the room with hairs, really unacceptable for a 4 star hotel, and that was it for amenities, and the tray their were supposed to be displayed was dirty with hairs and dust. - somehow the room was missing something, maybe the cleaning part, because it missed the wow factor that it could have. - the hotel promotes tours with elephant riding which in my opinion is BIG NO and unacceptable. - the egg station in the breakfast was working in a strange way, if you wanted a fired egg they had already several done and in a super odd shape, not natural. I don't understand why to have egg station if you don't preper them fresh. - the staff in the reception was not costumer service mind or service minded, maybe they need a workshop for all staff members in this hotel, maybe it's a management problem or still covid recovery problem. I don't know this hotel has such a great potential maybe it's the best hotel in the island and some details are missing. Another annoying point, but this is not the hotels fault is just a warning, so much people taking Instagram pictures everywhere, to the point that it's annoying. People are not experiencing the place instead they are taking pictures to post online, and it kills the vibe. I hope someone reads it and it creates an impact in how this hotel is managed, spec3the cleaning and attention to detail. Would I return yes, again I believe that this is one of the best hotels in the island. This is not a complain althout it might sound, it's more notes for improvement. Hope next time I can give a 5 star rating.

I liked it very much. Price / quality super. Live in two floor block on the second floor. Quiet and quiet. Well-pleasant staff. I'll come back. Before the two beaches 10 minutes walk, lots of cafes and shops around. On the other hand, two expensive hotels, so quiet. And a very beautiful view on the mountains. From the downsides - did not work wifi in the rooms.

Very private resort, suitable for those who needed to relax and to stay in the peaceful environment. The room was clean, and it’s pretty convenience to access the pool. Clothe rack was also provided on the balcony, so there’s no need to worry about the wet clothes. Breakfast was okay but not so much variety of food to select. However, the overall was great. It was a wonderful vacation staying there.

Very nice hotel, unfortunately a little afforded, but still very nice. We had a bungalow right at the neighbouring river, which was beautiful from the location, but was very standardly furnished from the inside and quite afforded. It was also very easy to screw. But this is in the limits, you can see it away. There are 2 beautiful pools in the plant with sufficient lifting areas. Also a free shuttle boat service is offered to the beach and to the Fireflys. However, if you have a bad time you wait for the shuttle to take one back with or miss the return (18:00), you will have to go back about 25 minutes (navi or local knowledge needed). The breakfast buffet is unrecommended, the selection is very small and tastefully not so good, then prefer to breakfast outdoor for small money. The service itself was completely OK and clean the facility is also. From the location a roller is beneficial, but no need, in 15-20 min walking road you also reach the most important. The wire in the rooms is OK, enough for Netflix. But vllt. not so suitable for work.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights during our visit to Thailand and it was absolutely beautiful. The staff were so helpful and lovely, they really couldn’t do enough for you. One night we had left it too late to get any water from the local shop as it has closed- and the lady on reception sent house keeping to the room to give us two bottles of water- which we really appreciated!! The location of this hotel is perfect, you’ve got the beach and a pool to choose from- the beach is beautiful- so quiet and clean! The breakfast was great- not many English kind of options, only cereal, pancakes and fruit but lots of Thai options which my boyfriend enjoyed. The only negatives I would have to say was the wifi wasn’t great - it kept logging us out after an hour or and their were ants in our room but not many- they were only on walls now and again- but I’m such a clean freak and even i would stay there again- it really wasn’t that bad.

We had family visiting Thailand for the first time, and we stayed at both the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort and the sister resort Koh Chang Paradise Resort across the street. If you want to read about my awful experience at the sister resort, Koh Chang Paradise, you can read my other review. Our stay at the Koh Chang Paradise Hill Resort was fun and relaxing. My kids enjoyed the waterpark and the beach. The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. Two thumbs up for the staff! The only negative experience I had with a staff member was at breakfast one morning. I had sprained my ankle right before our beach holiday and was hobbling around at breakfast filling up my personal mug with tea because the provided cups were really small and I didn’t want to have to get up multiple times to refill the small cup. A chef got angry at me and told me to not use my personal mug. He raised his voice at me and told me unkindly to not do what I was doing. I explained to him that I had hurt my ankle and did not want to get up multiple times to get more tea. I don’t think he really listened to me because he kept talking to me with an angry voice about not using my cup. Thankfully all the other staff at breakfast have been great. The lifeguards at the pool were great. One of the kids in our group slipped and cut her foot, and they cared for her with proper first aid. I appreciated their professional approach! Cleaning ladies were cheerful and smiled a lot.

Kho Chang is a beautiful island covered with trees, mountains and waterfalls. There are perfect beaches on its western shore. On one of these is Coconut Beach Resort. It's scale and architecture suit this island. Some larger hotels there might as well be in overdeveloped cities. Accommodation is in clusters of two-story buildings innThai style, grouped around a beautiful swimming pool and tropical gardens. There are trees on the beach with hanging swings and womb chairs. The restaurant has tables at the edge of the beach. The Thai food is delicious - seafood in red curry, whole fish simmering at your table, grilled prawns - and there are cocktails to complete the holiday treat. Service is friendly and efficient.

KC Grande Resort Koh Chang is located on a secluded corner of Haad Sai Khao (White Sand Beach), where you can relax fully and take a deep breath of the refreshing, cool sea breeze alongside a clear blue sky, sparkling turquoise ocean, and lush mountain greenery surrounding you. Besides the beach itself, we have a wide variety of facilities to make your stay with us truly memorable.

Very nice hotel. The staff was friendly and attentive.
The swimming pool was great, however the Waterslide was not working.
The Jacuzzi in the room is not good as the water jet does not really hit on the body.
Breakfast was very good.
Location wise it is walking distance to most restaurants and shops.

GGuest UserNice and quiet We had been this place and we decide to come back because of it really nice hotel ,the thing we like is staff very nice and friendly, room are big and clean , quite pool area, beautiful garden. A bit far from restaurant and shop but you take motorbike to go around the island just contact at reception, also our activities like snorkeling, elephant trip .
IIzaiaiaLocation: Koh Chang
Travel duration: ~45 minutes by ferry from the Koh Chang Ferry port on the coastal Trat. ~20 minutes by car to get on the other side of the island
Hotel: occupies both sides of the road. Check in is available in the inner building, from where friendly and attentive staff take you with your belongings to your lodge. Hotel offers two types of stays: private cottages and apartment suites. Main attraction of hotel is private cottage with also private pool and nicest view of the sea, but it was reserved during my stay, so we will skip that.
Full amenities: robes, water, mini bar, and towels are set in a way that a guest feels most welcome.
On-site restaurant offers not only local, but also European kitchen and daily fire show after an amazing sunset.
What to do on the island: more like what not to do, because I don’t believe one can be bored there. Starting from scooter ride across the island and finished with diving, there are activities for any kind of character.
BB Divers offers amazing full day experience for professional or beginner divers (which I happen to be).
In conclusion: go there. It’s not full of people like other thai islands, but it’s more than unforgettable
GGuest UserGood hotel, although not new. Convenient location with many cafes and shops nearby. The territory is good, a lot of greenery. Breakfast is modest, the main diet is eggs in different versions. In addition, vegetables, fruits, herbs, pastries.
Two pools: in a large one, it seems, sea water. We did not swim there, as the water is very warm, not at all refreshing. In a small one, the water is better, clean, you can freshen up)
The beach is very beautiful, but not swimmable at all! Stones. You can enter only in coral slippers. We did not swim in the sea near the hotel.
There are kayaks, the use of hotel guests is free.
The staff is friendly, as are the locals.
But special thanks to the girls at the reception. Very hospitable, friendly, always ready to help!! And thanks to the hotel driver, he also helps with luggage upon arrival and departure! Very pleasant and helpful!
We will stay at this hotel again! ❤️
GGuest UserWe have spent 6 nights in Santhiya Tree Koh Chang, even though it's rainy season, we still LOVE it there!
Design: we stay at the Pool Suite Water View, almost whole building made by carved wood, traditional Thai design and lots of character, looks very beautiful & classic.
Staffs: very friendly and excellent service
Pools: 60m long pool at the breakfast restaurant with some seats facing the pool & peaceful mountain view. Another pool right in front of the beach & close to the villas. Both pools clean & big. Santhiya Tree use pa kao ma thai sarong as beach towel, love it!
Food: delicious buffet breakfast & lots of variety. Food & drinks at the Chantara Restaurant is high quality & very yummy. The duo who sings at the restaurant are brilliant singers, you won't get bored with their performance.
Room: spacious & clean, lots of electric plugs & even beach bag for use. They burn lemongrass/ citronella oil in the bathroom to keep mozzies away & room smells good.
Massage at their spa: very good & reasonable price, sound of the waves makes the massage so relaxing, must try.
Shuttle bus to main street: every 2 hrs they can drop you or pick up from main street as there resort is not at the road side. Not sure if it's because of low season, hope the shuttle service can be more frequent.
Thank you everybody at Santhiya Tree Koh Chang for the great service and smiles. Will definitely come back for another holiday and highly recommend if you're looking for a fantastic place to stay! This beautiful place takes your stress away :)
P.S. there's a small part of the road right outside the resort leading to the entrance is unsealed with lots of potholes, pretty bumpy for cars and their shuttle bus, suggest Santhiya Tree do something with it.
BBrianna PierreCame here with a friend for a Christmas holiday and it was great. The guest manager was a delight and he was very personable, helping with breakfast and conversing with guests about places he loved on the island and life in general. He seems to actually love his job which is refreshing. The rooms were delightful and clean and the bath tub was so soothing as was the view. But note that the resort is at the top of the island so if you want to go to beaches like bang bao bay or lonely island you’ll have to hire a car or taxi. Luckily the resort helped us with that. A staffer named Q even helped my friend find a spot for a late night snack. Overall our stay was great. I would suggest adding a vending machine to the resort for snacks when the kitchen is closed as well as maybe having an additional shuttle available for beaches farther away to allow for guests to sign up to pay a travel fee that they could split evenly. (For example, Mondays is lonely island, Tuesdays you may go to bang bao bay etc). Other than that everything was easy and well accommodated. Would definitely stay here again.
GGuest UserHeavily talked up all over the Internet we booked 3 nights here for a beach break. On arrival the staff were slow and uninterested during check in. The room was nice but smelt of damp. The owners are aware of this because there were 3 airfresheners in our bathroom. After our first night our room was not cleaned the next day. Upon enquiring that afternoon we learnt that if we wanted fresh towels and the room cleaned etc that we should have put a hanging sign on the room door. Fine, but tell us on check in or have a note in the room to that effect. There was a whiff of using environmental impacts as an excuse for no cleaning. You have to get up early to get a beach chair under the tree for some shade. Would like to suggest that 15 Palms manage the allocation of beach chairs for their residents. Restaurant is overpriced and the Thai food beyond poor. We had 2 curries which were more like watery soup. It's a place to eat Sunday lunch. Staff although good at what they do lacked that Thai smile and attentiveness. Quite often the bar area filled with expats. Nothing wrong with that in the right place but for a beachside family/couples orientated hotel perhaps should be reconsidered?
PpartyonGreat hotel. Big, clean rooms, good aircon, decent wifi, and really nice balcony (though could use better furniture). Standard Thai bed, but more comfortable than others. The pool is bigger than it seems and clean; of course it is right by the road, but it's not too bothersome. The staff doesn't speak a word of english, and are not the most helpful, but the older ladies sass is charming in a way. The only issue was the noise from walking street right across the road, 1 of the 3 nights, the music was super loud until 3am. And by super loud, I mean I'm 30's stay up late partying all the time - it takes a lot for me to say that, and it was still crazy loud. Luckily I had earplugs, but could still feel the music through the bass. The other 2 nights, the music was toned down around midnight. There is a laundry place 50m away. No close walkable 7/11 unfortunately, but a 2 min drive. Check out the restaurant called โชคดีซีฟู้ด (copy and paste that to google maps) near Chokdee Resort, it's out on the water on stilts and had a nice vibe, great for sunset and not too expensive.
KKangGood location and a very very friendly owner! However the weather was very hot and I was literally not able to sleep in a Fan room. I ended up booking another resort around since the resort was full.. so never slept in this resort. It’s a cute little cottage but if you are picturing a real cottage made with wood, which allows air circulation inside, this is not that. So please book for a room with AC!
JJul15433Room on the 2nd floor, on the main path,in the middle between the recepchen and the pool. The hotel is old and certainly needs repair, but it is taken care of as much as possible. The area is very green, lots of colors.Cleaning is very good, without a vacuum, I saw the room being prepared - the whole light day the door and the balcony open, the pillows and the blanket are put on the balcony in the sun. Fabulous Thai-style houses, glass doors on the balcony in the floor in the whole wall-looking at least from the room + the smell of franchipani, birds sing! There is still a window with a mosquito net and a window in the bathroom also with a net, i.e. no moisture and eclipse, 24-hour fresh air. It was on the 1st floor, too not raw, nothing smells. 2 towels +1 for the legs- change every day and bed too. There is a small refrigerator, 2 bottles of water daily, no teapot. TV and air conditioner are old, but it works normal. The shower is hot, the pressure is good. Liquid soap, shampoo, hat, vatty shelves. On the balcony 2 chairs. Excellent swimming pool(there is a children's area) with a view on the jungle, enough lying, a number of showers (requires repair), there are beach towels. Men who like dense breakfast will be small. Some 8 positions on choice+to all small fruit plate(4 pieces of arbuz and 4 pineapple for two) and juice, coffee/tea/milk/water/water/sugar- is not limited. Wi-fi on the respiratory and at the pool worked well, the room used from the pool, also norms. There is a bike for rent 200 baht, massage 350 baht, friendly staff. The hotel is slightly removed from the road and it is good. If the number is next to the receptacle, there is a noise from bars on the road and buffet behind the fence, there are many screaming Chinese. Minuses: - far away to the beach, minutes 10-15 to go along the road in heat - the refrigerator is off when you leave the room - mosquitoes at night. Sleep with open balcony doors. Found in the closet an anti-mosquito baldachin and everything was fine! - the crane, the grid in the shelter old, rusty. It is not expensive to replace them, like petty, but the impression is spoiling. - during the check-in, asked if you could stay in the room until 13 30. Answered that there were no problems at all. On the day of departure on the same question, you can't stay even for 15 minutes, urgent cleaning. Okay, went to the pool. But before our departure, no one in the room looked, i.e. no urgency was. Why was it to promise first, and then to lie without reason? Here again, like a little, and attitude is spoiled, instead of + staff -.
GGuest UserBeachfront Hotel with pool and lush greenery all around the pool for shade. Great value. The beds were large, and rooms have fridge and coffee making facilities. Barxand restaurant were OK for breakfast but not a huge menu and not a very well stocked bar, butt's of bars and restaurants nearby.
