Warm, friendly helpful staff comfortable rooms with all you need. This is not 5 star luxury, but is so much more, people doing their best, going that bit further. Ohhhhh and the beach stunning never saw more than 40 people on it... Comfortable cabins we had 17and 18 which looked bigger. It's not a Hilton or a Marriott or the like but is much more fun. Island life island pace ....

The hotel was immersed in a wonderful nature, the cleaning was not perfect and the room was large, but we missed some comfort we used to, like the TV, the light lock and the bedside comfort. There was the minimum necessary, but it was right, breakfast was ”different” from ours, little coffee or milk (not available), but rice and eggs and salted meals. If it happens to you and you do not have too much claims spending the right on this island, it is the hotel that makes for you!

I read numerous reviews from different sites mostly pre pandemic. Numerous negative comments primarily focused on the lack of maintenance relating to bungalows and surrounding grounds. Well after my first day here I can say nothing has changed. I paid 2470 baht per night for my aircon bungalow x 5 nights. Generally, as long as the room is devoid of bugs and the aircon, tv, fridge and hot water all work (all okay here) I'm not too fussed about decor etc. But I think the price to value ratio lacked equity. I say this based on comparative island establishments from my extensive traveling around Thailand. Only the pool and beach were redeeming features for me. Breakfast was ordered from a set menu plus toast, juices and fruit. This switched to a buffet when there were enough guests. It was adequate for me. A ground maintenance crew turned up on my second day so they would have been kept busy for some time. The resort did organise a fire show on the Saturday night. I did not leave Koh Kood with a fond memory of my bungalow but I did toward the friendly, helpful and attentive staff and the location on this beautiful island.

Usually a hotel or resort doesn't live up to the advertising but in this case it definitely does. Koh Kood is a beautiful island and this resort is amazing. Incredible location on a stunning beach, amazing facilities and fantastic staff. The deluxe pool villa was well-appointed with everything i needed, including a delightful little pool. The resort's galaxy pool is big and looks straight across the lawn to the beach. Every single staff member I came across was friendly, helpful and professional. I hope to come back to this beautiful resort another time.

The beach front pool villa was perfect, looking straight out over the sea.
Two huge double beds which were really comfortable.
Cold, quiet air conditioning.
Large bathroom with outside shower. (inc shampoo, body wash etc)
TV with Netflix if you’re feeling lazy.
And a coffee machine.
Outside pool was an added bonus to cool off.
Zanzibar, the resort cocktail bar make really great cocktails with happy hour (50% off) between 5 to 7
Breakfast was good and had variety. Eggs station, toast, bacon and pastries. They also have rice dishes, vegetables and pasta.
The resort restaurant was disappointing with prices well over 300 baht for Thai dishes. The quality did not reflect the price at all.
Be aware if you book a transfer through the resort to Koh Chang, it’s pricey & stops at multiple piers before heading to Koh Chang.

Well, after a lot of searching we finally found a place on the beach, away from the bigger resort areas, within our budget, and overall, we weren't disappointed. The good The location is ideal. Right on a stretch of gorgeous sand with a shallow stretch of sea protected by a shelf of rocks a hundred metres offshore. With young kids, nothing could have been better. Crystal clear waters, clean beaches, and just what the doctor ordered. The staff were very welcoming, and the resort provides free masks and snorkels as well as skiffs for up to three people to paddle out over the shallow sea. There are plenty of fish to see so it's definitely worth taking advantage of these. There's a great collection of tables, sun loungers, swings, and hammocks for you to use, and most have umbrellas to protect you from the harsh May sun. It was incredibly hot at this time and I don't think we were quite prepared for that. The staff were very responsive when we asked for some things to be fixed in the room, such as a missing towel rail from the bathroom, an iced-up fridge, a broken remote control. and these are were resolved within a day or two. Perhaps the best thing about the resort is the restaurant and bar. The food was, we thought, exceptional value and of really good quality. My daughter couldn't eat enough of the spaghetti with pork and tomato and the spaghetti with bacon and chilli is excellent. Also good value is the barbecue set which we had for lunch at least twice. There's enough for 3 or 4 people with just one set. The bar is a great place to relax in the evening though I wish they were a bit more imaginative and varied with their happy hour cocktails. The not so good I've mentioned the problems with the fixtures and fittings in the room. What I find annoying is that guests need to tell staff that a towel rail has been removed, and that the fridge is so iced up as to be unusable. For the price, these things should be checked at least between guest bookings. The wooden laminate flooring in the bungalows has been pretty badly warped and there are gaps between the ends of the boards. This doesn't give a good first impression but perhaps the most annoying thing about the room was the design of the bathroom which seems to have been done by someone with no sense of what should go where. When you open the door to the bathroom, it brushes the side of the toilet seat, which inevitably means the toilet seat is constantly loose. Mad idea to put a toilet just inside a door. I don't think I've ever come across a design like that before. The shower location and the way it's attached to the wall means that anything near the sink gets totally soaked unless you want to remove the shower from the fitting and hold it while you shower. I think a bit of care and effort when designing the bathrooms would have paid off. But perhaps the worst thing of all is the breakfast. Considering the main restaurant food is pretty good, you'd expect breakfast to be along similar standa

A fuir!

It was a 3-day-and-2-night trip with my friends and my 9-year-old daughter so we booked 2 villas with a private swimming pool. The villas are not new or super neatly cleaned but all are okay and kind of acceptable. The best thing is the resort staff. They are super nice, fun and friendly. They are ready to drop everything they are doing just to talk to you and answer your question. No matter how silly it is! They make me feel like they are ready to solve all the problems in the world for you, if asked! My daughter loves fishing there (even though she didn't get any fish lol). We borrowed the fishing rod from one of the nicest (probably) front desk staff who didn't seem to be bothered spending time teaching my daughter how to safely use the equipment. Wish I could ask for his name before we left. So I could give him better compliment. The view is just magical. Kayaking is also super fun. The Food is ways, ways better than we expected. The night bartender is a super cool & funny guy. He hosted the funniest Hermit crab racing in the world!

Facilities: I have stayed in the best hotel in Thailand and the founder of Six Senses, so it is quite similar to Six Senses, but it feels better than Six Senses Koh Samui. Maybe the location and the pick-up by private jet and yacht will make the experience even more upgraded. The brightest point is that the hotel's breakfast is superb
Environment: very good feeling back to nature
Hygiene: excellent and impeccable
Very satisfied with the 3-week trip to Thailand. Soneva is the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Thailand. From the environment to the service to the additional items of the hotel, I recommend everyone to go diving and fishing. The price is also very reasonable. I plan to go there again at the end of the year

AAkihiroVery clean room and good breakfast (but not buffet. They provide lunch box style food). Accomodation is not by the beach but walking distance to one of the best spot on the island.
GGuest UserIt has taken so long to be able to at long last stay at Shantaa and I was not dissapointed. This little piece of paradise was totally worth the wait! The view from the well appointed and very comfortable villa was magical. The whole place is kept very clean and there are plenty of areas to relax in from the beach to the pool, cafe and restaurant. The food is all cooked to order including the delicious breakfasts. There is plenty to choose from and you will not go hungry. For a totally relaxing break in a tropical paradise you will not find better. You can even arrive and depart directly to the Resort via speedboat. It would be wrong to single out any one of the staff as they all make one great team effort in ensuring your stay is as comfortable as possible. Thank you to everyone and I look forward to my next visit, it will not come soon enough.
GGuest UserI would like to thank the team at Tinkerbell Resort Hotel from the bottom of my heart. I spent two unforgettable weeks with my mother away from civilisation on the beautiful island of Koh Kood and all the two weeks we were surrounded by the care and warmth of the wonderful people working in this hotel! Lovely, friendly and helpful, they were always willing to help. I would like to say a special THANK YOU to the restaurant team, they are all not only very pleasant in communication, but professionals. Special thanks to Khun Thach Chheang she did a wonderful job along with her team - Laeng Rin, Sarorn So and Charlotte! Thank you very much dear girls, we love you and miss you a lot! You made us smile every morning when we entered the restaurant and every evening when you opened another bottle of Prosecco with great professionalism! We have warm memories of you! We would also like to mention the excellent work of the front desk, thank you Tihlaree! The ladies who gave us a wonderful, very professional massage every day - Nit and Anny, thank you! Thank you to the bartender - Tung for a wonderful job! Unfortunately we don't know the rest of the staff names, but we would like to say thank you to all of them - room cleaners, gardener, pool and beach staff and cleaners. They all work very hard to make your stay pleasant! The location of the hotel is also very pleased, the bungalow is right on the beach! What else can you want when you are on the island:)! Of course, it would be nice to renovate the hotel a little (light renovation of the rooms, because in some places the plaster is falling off). But believe me, these are all small things compared to the great attitude you are surrounded by when you stay at Tinkerbell Privacy Resort Koh Kood!
ВВиктор ГоловEverything was wonderful. The idea of an open-air bathroom is more interesting than convenient. As for the place itself: everything would be ok, but apparently the Thais are ok with the fact that the beach, on which they actually live, is littered with garbage, and there are bags and plugs floating in the water near the shore. As a result (and we were at several resorts on the island), eco-entertainment appears - vacationers themselves clean the water and the beach from garbage, put it in one place, and the staff smiles and watches this...... apparently this is a local feature.
Great location, and good, spacious rooms (although it takes time to get used to locking the doors). However, staff service is poor. At breakfast, staff doesn’t seem to be happy with what they’re doing and would sometimes ignore guests. The staff cooking the eggs were kind though. Resort also doesn’t offer ground coffee drinks so we got stuck with powdered coffee until we found out about the two coffee shops that are walking distance from the resort. Food can be improved too: breakfast’s okay but doesn’t offer diversity. You’ll get bored with the food after a few days. Beach and the sunset is marvelous though!
SSergey MelnikovOn arrival, it turned out that our bookings in the hotel are not found. We had to apply for support through chat. The interaction was operational and constructive. And in the hotel we were not abandoned, too, all the forces tried to figure out the situation. An hour and a half in the upheaval, and the issue was resolved positively.
The hotel is located at the intersection of the main island road and road in the Bay of Bang Bao. There is a cafe at the intersection. There is a small shop at the hotel. Mainly drinks, chips. No serious food. On the way to the bay there is still a shop with a similar range.
The area is green. The rooms are located in a separate beautiful villa-type building. Our room had a balcony with palm-like views, etc. Excellent bed.
Breakfasts on ordered options.
To the beach about a kilometer. A wonderful bay.
GGuest UserConsidering this was our most expensive accommodation on a 3 week tour of Thailand (Approx £178 per night for 2 adults and 1 child) this was our most disappointing hotel. We booked the ground floor Sea Horse so we’d have easy access to the beach and pool. First impressions were good, the views were incredible. However on closer inspection the bathroom was awful. It felt dirty, well in need of updating and had a terrible sewer smell, to the point we didn’t want to use it. The towels and sheets were all stained. Although the room was huge there’s no furniture to unpack anything, or surfaces to put anything. The kettle is no where near a plug. And there’s an unnecessary full size fridge freezer, when a wardrobe would be more useful. Although there was a large deck by the pool there was no drying rack and no seating which would have been nice to make the most of the pool which was pretty much just for decoration. The breakfast was terrible with very little choice. The staff were mostly indifferent, never very friendly or smiley. The only redeeming feature was the beach which was absolutely stunning. Though only 12 sun loungers for the whole resort. To warrant the price they’re charging they need to completely renovate the bathrooms, invest in some furniture and towels.
AAlexanderAmazing beach! The hotel area is a well-kept garden, very beautiful. Great breakfasts!
The prices are not low, but with discounts it is quite an acceptable price/quality ratio.
The hotel has not been renovated for a long time, but after the pandemic, cosmetic repairs and major cleaning are noticeable. Although the covering on the verandas still needs replacing - just nails are sticking out in places - the child was not allowed to run around there. The hotel restaurant is probably the most frustrating thing, the prices are super high, the quality of the food is low: for almost 500 baht (price 400 + fees + taxes), we got a pizza with a diameter of 30 cm from frozen dough. This is a fiasco, bro. In general, only beer and then for 150 baht. There is all the infrastructure on the road 800 meters away, including fruits and cafes and hardware stores, but 800 meters uphill) you can ask the hotel transport to take you there, but back on foot, albeit from a hill))) but with almost no lighting. Karrche needs to take a bike, 300 baht per day, by the way, it’s brand new.
In general, for the experience of a paradise for 7900 rubles / night - it’s the best!
