The hotel is located on Lamai Beach in a good location. The staff were helpful and friendly.

Nice location but aircond not function as usual. For family it’s too far location from mainroad.

Really large comfy bed with fresh clean linen and two night lamps with switches by the bed. Tv with English speaking channels, aircon, fridge and safe. Nice hot shower, large wardrobe with hairdryer if you need it. Only small minor downside was no power sockets to charge by the bed. Couple of bottles of water provided daily by the cleaning team who were very lovely. Greeted at checkin, shown to my room and given lots of helpful tips and recommendations for the area. I found it a bit tricky to locate using Google maps but very simple once you know - follow the side road next to McDonald’s and follow it round past the coconut resort and yellow slide :)

The location is good, in the middle of the beach. Everything is very simple, furniture and a shower room. I missed the bedside table and outlets. The bungalows are beautifully decorated with waterfalls and fish ponds. We came across a very small number. As it turned out later, for this price, you can find larger and better rooms in neighboring hotels. In the photo with palm trees there is access to the beach from the hotel. We liked the beach, not many people, beautiful, there is activity, palm trees, cafes. Nearby is the Hin Ta Hin Yai landmark - where you can take beautiful photos by the stones, you can walk along the beach. And at the outermost hotel, if you go to the right along the beach, you can sit on the hotel grounds, on a huge rock, and drink drinks from the hotel bar. I'll attach a photo.

Close to the beach, walk 1KM along the beach to YINTA / YINYAI attractions. There are McDonald's, 7-11, Big C nearby, and an open-air bar at night. I will choose this hotel next time I travel to Koh Samui.

The location facing the sea and close to the center while being quiet, small but clean and comfortable room, small restaurant facing the sea.

Lamai Inn was not exactly what we were looking for. The reception was a bit chaotic and the cottage was a bit gloomy. It was not dirty in itself but the furniture is outdated, stains on the walls and ants that walked in the bathroom but also on the bed occasionally. The location is great. Close to the beach (a few meters) and also the hustle and bustle of Lamai is a few meters away but you are not bothered by that. The restaurant/beach bar that belongs to Lamai Inn is super good. Lovely fresh looking place. If the reception of Lamai Inn would look like that, it would immediately give a better first impression to the guests who arrive. Even when we checked out after 4 nights no question whether we liked it, not even a thank you. Very impersonal as far as we are concerned. Contrary to many positive reviews, we unfortunately have a different experience.

The WLAN is not so stable and well set up. The room on the beach is a bit old (rickety, unstable windows and salty panes). The room (as shown in the photos) was very nice. Well furnished and clean.

I have stayed at the Lamai Inn a number of times. My last visit was in 2017 and then I thought that the rooms needed a little bit of an update. As I've always enjoyed staying inn the complex I suggested that our group stay there to finish off our holiday this year. While I really enjoyed my stay here, there doesn't seem to have been any updating of the facilities since my last visit 7 years ago. The furniture is a bit tired and although we had a number of garden villas for our group, none of them had the same furniture. Some had 2 bedside lockers some had 1. One of the bathrooms had no plug in the sink and none was available when requested. We could only find one TV channel in English and that was 24 hour News. The towels and bed linen could do with being renewed. The pool area does not seem to have been updated since my first visit in 2009. I love the location as its right on the beach. The restaurant has been extended and there are now tables beanbags and umbrellas on the beach, we really enjoyed the umbrellas as there was a heatwave and they were really needed. Other hotels in the area seem to have been refurbished and updated and are charging similar prices to the Lamai Inn
