I only stayed at Deva Beach Resort for one night before catching a flight home, but unfortunately, my experience left room for improvement. We had arranged a pickup from the pier after traveling from Ko Tao, which cost 600 baht. However, when we arrived, the pickup wasn’t there. Attempts to contact the hotel via WhatsApp went unanswered, and when we called directly, the staff seemed unaware of the pickup and told us to get a taxi. The hotel itself was pleasant and relaxing, with plenty of pools and a beachfront with a nice view. The rooms were adequate but felt like they could use significant upgrades to match the overall setting. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and while the food was good, the service was frustratingly slow, which dampened the experience. On the bright side, we enjoyed walking to a nearby temple, which was beautiful and peaceful. The hotel is in a quieter part of the island, which is good for those looking for a more laid-back vibe. Overall, while the setting was good, the service issues made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been.
