They are not only efficient, ensuring everything runs smoothly, but also genuinely friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile. This level of service greatly enhances the overall stay. Room Views: Opting for a room on the third floor is highly recommended as it offers scenic views. While the first and second floors might lack these views, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms remain commendable. Bed and pillows were awesome!! Pool Area: The infinity pool is a highlight, providing a luxurious and serene environment to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the sun. This well-maintained area is made even more enjoyable by the fun and friendly pool and bar staff. Guests looking for a peaceful night's sleep might find the loud music, particularly the repetitive beats and booming sounds from 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM, to be a major disturbance. This could be a dealbreaker for light sleepers or those seeking a restful retreat. Beach and Swimming Conditions: While the beach itself is beautiful and great for daytime relaxation, the water level often remains below one meter, making it impossible to swim in the ocean. This shallow water issue is prevalent across most of Chaweng Beach and might disappoint those looking forward to ocean swimming. Overall it feels like a 3 star hotel. Decent breakfast. The restaurant on the beach is very romantic however this requires the staff members to clear up the sunbeds about 4:30pm which is disturbing. Small pool. On the beach however the water is really shallow so you can’t really swim. Mainly polite staff members. There is also a mosquito problem so we were advised not to open the balcony doors so there is no point to have a room with a balcony if you can’t really enjoy it. Great location.

The hotel is amazing, the beach close is right next to the pool and hotel bar, which made it very easy to reach, plus you can order drinks to your sunbed. Hotel room was very spacious, lots of amenities and a working AC, staff was very helpful and welcoming.

Overall good, had an issue with the water quality from the bathroom taps, but got sorted soon after I reported the problem. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The staff at Dara Samui make a good hotel great! The location is super walkable and the Northern Thai design style is relaxing and beautiful. The beach is lovely although it is often just a meter or so of sand when the tide is high. Breakfast was good and the selection varied each day. I enjoyed the bath tub and the sun loungers for relaxation. The only thing that needs improving are the beds. They need to be upgraded to ensure a comfortable nights sleep for guests.

We have stayed at this hotel twice before. We have always been impressed by the rooms and the quality of the staff. They are friendly, knowledgeable, and care about the customer. The front lobby staff were accommodating in getting our large party to have rooms next to each other. Mr. Tee and his staff, who oversees the restaurant and pool are, did a remarkable job of tending to all of our needs. They all were on point. We had even a better time staying at the Dara Samui than last time! A very enjoyable time was had by everyone in our party. Thank you Dara Samui!

This was our second time staying at Dara Samui and it was a wonderful stay. Service is top notch. The pool and beach area are spacious and well managed. The breakfast buffet is very nice and changes daily. We stayed 4 nights. If we stay in Chawaeng again, we will definitely stay here. Seems like a good honeymoon spot too.

It’s been a few weeks now since my husband and I stayed at the Dara Samui and it feels like a beautiful hazy dream. We stayed at the hotel for 7 nights and each day we became more and more relaxed, choosing to have most of our meals there, and to spend our days between the pool and the sea. The hotel has a lunch time happy hour special on their Thai dishes, which are delicious and come in generous portions. We did the Thai cooking course with the head chef and that was a really fun way to spend a morning. The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole place has a really good vibe. You can tell they are trying to up their game post-COVID. I would definitely recommend it.

Went with my wife in late July and stayed for 10 days. The location of the hotel is great as it is walking distance to almost everything. The beach in front of the hotel is not that good but great for families with children as it is super safe due to the coral barrier. If you want a better beach a 10 minutes walk away from the coral barrier has a pristine stretch of beach with clear water and white sand. Dara Samui is a cosy boutique hotel, it has very nice pool next to their restaurant. Just before we left they brought back the breakfast buffet which was great. Mark (I believe he is the F&B manager) is very friendly and helpful, very accommodating. The staff at the reception are always friendly and helpful as well. The tour guide lady by the reception is super helpful, she went out of her way to help us obtain a map of Koh Samui so that we find our way around the island. The wifi did not work well but the staff were quick to resolve the connection. We had the Superior Room, we enjoyed the room very much, the layout was simple and bathroom has an interesting layout. Overall, it was cosy and very comfortable. I will definitely go back to this hotel.
