The accommodation “The Humble Villas” is really a dream. If we could give more than 10 stars we would because we absolutely loved everything about it. The small villas, which all have a view of the sea, are highly recommended for both shorter and longer stays (in our case 2 weeks). Especially on very warm days it was great to cool off in your own pool/diving pool or to swim in the larger hotel pool in the evening at sunset. In addition to the great facilities of our villa, where nothing was missing (cool drinks and snacks every day, flip-flops, beach bag and even mosquito spray included), we liked the quiet location of the complex, away from the hustle and bustle, but still with everything important (e.g example also restaurants) within walking distance. Also worth mentioning is the delicious breakfast, which is lovingly prepared and served every morning with a view of the sea. There is definitely something for everyone here and we looked forward to it every morning during our longer stay. But what we liked best was the generally incredibly hard-working, attentive and lovely staff of the hotel. You rarely experience so much hospitality and we felt completely at home due to the family atmosphere. Even certain details (birthday during the stay) and wishes (e.g. mosquito net over the bed) were thought of. So a big thank you to the great team! You made this stay so special and relaxing. We will definitely be happy to come back.

Arrived at the resort at 11am and the room wasnt ready, not a problem as this was normal, we was told the room was being emptied, We was offered a room to shower and got the day started. We went out for lunch and when we got back was told the room had a problem with the electics and we wasnt able get the room was booked. We got offered a garden view room sold as an upgrade ISSUE 1 how is a garden room view on the main path better then a sea view with a private balcony. Nothing we could do so had no options Day 2 we got told the room might not be ready due to parts, however we had plans and kept on with our holiday. We got back and the room was ready. Now the room was not what we saw online, bad smell in the toliet, curtains brown and dirty half hanging off the wall few other issues. we was offered a free meal for the issue, however we had plans each night so this was going to be a problem. all was going ok until the room key fell from my pocket and left it on the other side of the island, we call the resort for assistance and the guy we spoke to said nothing he can do until 8am the next morning, so 10pm we are room less and the resort not able to help. We ended up booking a night in a hotel that was very expensive. I tried to talk to the staff many times but they ignored my concerns and kept telling me the manager was not around to help. After 4 days of trying I gave up on the situation and informed bookings.com. The entire week was a bust with the hotel and after covid the price was far to expensive. The place i would say was over priced and the if you go check the sign out, you will see what i mean. There was 2 members of staff, their names I forgot. They were super amazing and helpful. but one lady was just trying to pull the wool over our eyes. Personally there are 3 resorts on the same stretch that I would recommend, Saim Place, Nikki Beach and a the other name i totally have just forgetten. Find another spot. I connected with a few other people who stayed and they encountered a few issues that were not dealt with.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Nikki Beach Resort with a group of friends, and we had an unforgettable experience. Oh dear, oh dear oh dear! The owners did not use the Covid close down as an opportunity to update, improve maintain or even tidy this hotel. Everywhere you looked it appears shabby. Beach Bungalow at a vastly overpriced cost. Dimly lit TV did not work Fixed Safe did not work 'Fixed' then didn't work again Door would not lock 'Fixed' but took a strong hand to lock or open Musky, un-aired smell 'garden' overgrown and tatty Dirty, old and shabby sun loungers. No caretaking of the beach area, other hotels along the beach had teams clearing the debris on their patch each morning. Set breakfast poor with comedy floppy toast. Moody and unhelpful reception. I had emailed the hotel directly a couple weeks before hand to ask about the possibility of a cake for my wife's birthday, never heard back from them which is not unusual for small Thai hotels. However, on the morning we were going to check out early due a cake appeared with several of the staff to sing 'Happy Birthday'. Nice save! My wife persuaded me to stay. Upon check-out got a hefty bill for the cake! Would not recommend at all.

This place is lovely. Very quiet, very calm, is literally right on the beach where you can watch the sunset every day. You can walk up the beach to a few bars and restaurants. The pool is clean. The lady that seems to run this place on her own is just lovely and very friendly. HOWEVER..... It's quite run down and very no frills. When we were there, they didn't have their own food or bar. If you wanted food, you needed to order in advance and all they did was get a takeaway from a local place and add a fee on top. If you wanted drinks you had to go to the shop. Breakfast again is at an extra cost, has to be ordered the day before and is just a takeaway from the place 5 minutes down the road. The BBQ they say they have for you to use, is a tiny mini thing that you have to buy everything for. The bicycles they say they have for you to use for free are mainly broken, tyres punctured, side stand stuck down, chain slips etc. They do have kayaks though, that are free, and they were good fun in the calm, warm Thai waters. One 500ml bottle of water was replaced once every 2 days in the room. The TV didn't work. The sockets sparked. There is basically nothing nearby. You HAVE to have a moped or car to go and do anything. But again, it was a lovely quiet, peaceful, picturesque and welcoming stay in a very basic place. There were shy lizards everywhere. There is an unlimited supply of towels for the beach or pool. The staff are so incredibly lovely,

I have come back to stay again 2 times already. The rooms are very good, spacious, with Netflix and youtube. The hotel and Trip.com provide very good service. And due to the heavy rain on the day of arrival, the ferry was announced. Which cannot travel to the hotel, Trip.com has helped to coordinate, making it possible to postpone the date of stay without additional fees. Very impressed

The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. We chose the capsule because we only passed through there to sleep, but the villas looked very beautiful. The very beautiful pool also, in the middle of all the villas. In the neighborhood there is not just a little ambience, it is to be relaxed. The breakfast is in front of the hotel and has 7 different varieties, it is not a buffet. We broke our bag and the owner helped us fix it. ¡Very recommendable!

I don't allow anyone to know this hotel! I stayed in Kimpton, Slavadi, and this for a week in Koh Samui. It's really a surprise. First of all, this hotel is on the mountain near the herb garden. Just take a taxi. It is suitable for pure relaxation! Unfortunately, I booked here for a day, I regret it, I should bring Slavadi to come over for a day, it is really great here, especially the wind blowing at night is so beautiful, there is a big cloakroom in the room! A big dressing table for all girls! ! Here you can watch the sunset, you can also take a taxi down the mountain. We saw a lot of fruit sellers on the way to the intercontinental restaurant. When we came back to turndown service after dinner, and my messy cloakroom was all sorted out. I really cried to death, great, great, and then breakfast is not self-service, It is an optional package. I chose the Thai style. I chose the American style. It was enough. The orange juice and watermelon juice were unlimited. I took the SLR. The staff also enthusiastically helped us take pictures. I loved it. The sisters ordered it! ! ! There is nothing wrong with it except a little far away! There is also a cinema billiard room or something. Next time I come, I will just hang it here for a week. It's so cool!

What can we say, what an amazing place, we just didn’t want to leave. We were 3 couples in this stunning 5 bedroom beach front villa. The views were breathtaking, service outstanding, and our favourite question we were asked every morning was “how would you like your eggs” from the in-house excellent chef. The chef also cooked for us one evening and throughout our travels in Thailand the beef Massaman was the best we have ever tasted. One night they also did us a BBQ with lamb burgers, delicious. The grounds were big so as 3 couples we did not over run each other. Attention to detail in the bedrooms and the main villa area. The beach was like having a private beach, the water was crystal clear in a beautiful green colour and the 21 m private beach front pool was just WOW. There were water toys to play with, kayaks and paddle boards so something for everyone. We also took advantage of the on-site Spa a few times where you can have couple massage as there are 2 beds, body scrubs, oil massages, Thai massages and the masseur’s were very good. The on-site team were on hand to assist with any questions you may have and happy to organise tours if you wanted them, although we just didn’t want to leave the place.

GGuest UserI read many reviews about this resort and studied the Mantra Samui website, but never learned until after I booked (4 nights stay) my room that they had cancelled , during Covid, the regular shuttle that took guests down the hill to Fisherman Villa. I learned this because I called the hotel before my trip to ask some questions and also ask how to reserve a place on their shuttle. The resort does have one auto/driver that will drive you down to the bottom of the hill if it is there, and if it is not picking up someone at the airport. The shuttle delivers you directly to the bottom of the hill, is pretty much is just a local road. Then you can wave down a taxi and negotiate the price. Some fun! The Mantra Sumai should update their website to say the regular shuttle has been cancelled, and replaced by their maybe available one car. Continuing my story... We booked a massage at another hotel that is about 20 minutes away, and gave ourselves one hour to get there. So the night before we reserved to get the ride down to the bottom of the hill for the next day afternoon. When we went to reception, we were informed there was an accident, which was a flat tire, and the tire 'might' be fixed in half an hour and then another 20 minutes to get back to the Mantra. They apparently felt no responsibility to contact us. Just wait for the guests to show up and then tell them. They felt no responsibility to call the driver for any update. They then offered to call a taxi, but that would take about 20 minutes to arrive. Also when you call a taxi there is no opportunity for negotiation. My hour was dwindling. Well 20 is better than maybe 30 + 20 minutes. So they called the taxi. Luckily the Mantra driver showed up after 15 minutes, and the taxi was cancelled. My conclusion, after all the interfaces with reception, is they have a poor sense of responsibility and lacking the ability for logical thinking to provide a good guest experience. There are other examples beyond the above. Our suite room was in good condition, and everything functioning. Well, except the phone did not work, but I did not need that. The suite has a king size bed and a separate built in bed in the back of the living room. OK, so 4 people can stay. But the flaw in the suites is there is only a 2 person love seat to sit on. There is no chair, and no desk. It is no fun to use your laptop when the coffee table level is below your knees. A simple 4 leg table for a desk, and a simple chair would be nice, and not cost very much. They do have an on-site co-work room somewhere, but I did not use it. I think it is an extra cost and I did not have that much work to do anyway. The highlight of the Mantra Samui was the included breakfast. There are many cooked to order choices plus a buffet of juices, fruits, cereals, yogurt, pastries, and several breads you can toast yourself. We tried every item on the breakfast menu and all were nicely done and tasty. Very good coffee and tea made to order i
GGuest UserWe have just returned from a 12 night stay at the Tongsai Bay. As returning guests we knew to expect an excellent service across the board. However what we didn’t expect was that they have managed to improve on what we already thought was perfection! The Garrya rebrand seems to have complemented the Tongsai, without detracting from the essence of the original concept. The rooms have been re-vamped but the upgrade is very much in keeping with the eco friendly jungle location. It was good to see that the natural tones and furnishings remain. Many of the long-standing staff are still there, and the new additions in staff provide the same faultless service with a warm smile on their faces. Every single member of staff was exceptional! It would be unfair to list individual staff as it is obvious that all departments work together as one team under the expert guidance of Manuel and Mark. I have yet to stay in another hotel where senior management get so involved. The main improvement for us this time was the food, which was already very good. The Tongsai have definitely upped their game here. every single meal we ate was truly delicious. Overall and exceptional experience, we wouldn’t hesitate in recommending to anyone. Thank you to everyone at the Tongsai for making our holiday absolutely perfect. We look forward to seeing you again next year!
YYUANThe hotel is very refined, 14 rooms, very quiet, and really facing the sea, and the breakfast is very good, breakfast until 10 o'clock, the hotel everyone is polite and feels very warm! The only bad thing is that the hotel brother and I played three billiards, winning me a black ball every time, I don’t know how to put water... I will go back and practice, and I will get back the next time!
GGuest UserThe staff at Dara Samui make a good hotel great! The location is super walkable and the Northern Thai design style is relaxing and beautiful. The beach is lovely although it is often just a meter or so of sand when the tide is high. Breakfast was good and the selection varied each day. I enjoyed the bath tub and the sun loungers for relaxation. The only thing that needs improving are the beds. They need to be upgraded to ensure a comfortable nights sleep for guests.
GGabbie1111Amazing hotel. The breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Champagne and fresh juice as much as you wanted. I got a lobster roll and eggs Benedict. Amazing! Hotel room couldn’t of been better! The jacuzzi bath perfection. Hotel couldn’t do any more. We even bought the robe and flip flops they were that comfy. Overall the hotel was lush. Would 10000% stay again. The pools and beach were so quiet which was fantastic.
GGuest Userexcellent !!!! could not find anything less than that (and i can easily find usually) rooms, facilities, stuff, location - Excellent special thanks to amazing Pam in reception that was super friendly, welcoming, professional, smart and interesting i want to thank you in person for your hospitality and welcome i wish every place could have given me such a perfect welcoming experience Thanks !!!
GGuest UserVery good location. Beach and water clean with a lot of fish. Always available sun beds at the Beach and at the pools. Breakfast is very good. Like all the fresh fruit.
We would like to come back.
GGuest UserUpon arrival we were awe struck with the organic beauty of the island which we were about to stay on.. After a short boat ride we had arrived in paradise and welcomed with warm smiles and refreshments. We were Taken to our room on our golf buggy (no motorised vechiles on the island yay). Our spacious waterfront room topped off with an infinity pool looked out over the Gulf of Thailand and was immaculately clean and serviced daily by up to 3 housekeepers at a time. We dined at Both Hue restaurant (our favourite) and also Long Dtai Both displaying fresh produce daily, some items unavailable from day to day which suited us as we knew it was all fresh 👍 The Staff Led by Urs (GM) and Patzy (Restaurant manager) were all friendly and attentive. The Day Spa exceeded our expectations with numerous treatments available to ensure you remain relaxed on your holiday Ignore the bad reviews on here about this property The place is amazing without fault!! We will be back ✌️
冰冰点蓝是我Advantages: French pastoral decoration style deep my heart The room facing the sea Pull the door directly to the sea The kind of unsatisfactory! The hotel waiter is also very enthusiastic. Especially recommend his restaurant. The chef is afraid that it will not be Michelin level. Even if you don't go out to the hotel, you won't be tired. Haha, and the toiletries in his home taste very advanced. Porridge, because we booked a suite more spacious when booking. Waiting for 2 adults and 1 child to stay, they put an extra 1.2 single bed next to the big bed. If it is a normal room, he said that it is not good for an extra bed.
Disadvantages: The drinking water provided by the hotel has a salty smell. It is not used to drinking. It is all 711 to buy water. The hotel has no parking lot. It is not good to park.
GGuest UserThe location is great. Lovely pool with bar. Lots of greenery, gardens. There is not enough light in the rooms. Breakfast needs better. At the reception you can rent a bike or order a taxi.
