Best Hotels near Thong Takhian Beach (Silver Beach), Koh Samui

Really large comfy bed with fresh clean linen and two night lamps with switches by the bed. Tv with English speaking channels, aircon, fridge and safe. Nice hot shower, large wardrobe with hairdryer if you need it. Only small minor downside was no power sockets to charge by the bed. Couple of bottles of water provided daily by the cleaning team who were very lovely. Greeted at checkin, shown to my room and given lots of helpful tips and recommendations for the area. I found it a bit tricky to locate using Google maps but very simple once you know - follow the side road next to McDonald’s and follow it round past the coconut resort and yellow slide :)

Excellent hotel, all surrounded by greenery. The beach is equipped with a sufficient number of sun loungers, and the sea is equipped with a jellyfish net. The area is constantly cleaned. The service is excellent. The monotonous breakfasts get a little boring, however, only here we saw that they serve mangoes and mangosteens for breakfast.

The Weekender Resort is a very nice hotel on the seafront which we really liked. It is well located, in a lively area and close to shops and restaurants. It is very nice to have a small supermarket right in front of the hotel. It is equipped with a superb swimming pool, a restaurant and a bar which directly overlook Lamai Beach. You will also find a gym, a sauna, and private parking. Masseuses are available from morning until evening to give us a massage on the beach. We stayed in the villas with private pools. The room is spacious and clean. Bottles of water are available in the refrigerator every day. It has good bedding, air conditioning and a large bathroom with bath and walk-in shower. The swimming pool for private use is out of sight. It is pleasant, you can turn on the fountain and the jets for a jacuzzi area. Secure sliding doors open directly onto the hotel swimming pool and then onto the beach. The staff is smiling and very professional, very available, they intervene at the slightest concern, which we really appreciated. We liked being able to rent scooters for our stay directly at the hotel and without paying more. We were able, thanks to this, to go around the island and see everything there was to see and visit, it was great! The only downside: the treadmill broke down throughout our stay and the quality of the breakfast needs to be improved even if the pastries are excellent! There are too few choices and all the more so if you don't eat meat...Too bad! It is not the image of the hotel and the smiling and invested staff who work there! We will definitely come back anyway! This was our second time to Koh Samui a d we chose to stay in this hotel again it's in a great location short walk to the beach one side and plenty of restaurants the other side including a 7 to 11 at the end of the drive. It's a quieter part of Lamai but has a little bit of everything. Hotel staff are all lovely, and the breakfast is adequate with eggs how you like, bacon, pastries, bread, fruit, yoghurt, juice, and the odd chicken and rice soup or curry. Coffee was great. Our rooms were cleaned spectacularly. It's more of a hotel for couples, very peaceful and relaxing. We had a swim up room which we loved. However, the ladder into the pool could do with another step or some rails to hold onto. I'm tall, so a shorter person would have more of an issue getting in and out. It was lovely to swim from your balcony, though. We would recommend and would choose to come back and stay in the same room. We loved it so much we didn't want to leave

Great location. We walked along the beach, this section is the best. The staff is responsive. Breakfast overlooking the sea is amazing. Plus it's pretty tasty. The mattress was tired, but the pillows were excellent. The pool is clean and good. Upon request, they brought a second blanket. The downsides are a tired mattress and a shower that flooded the entire floor in the bathroom. Just the whole thing. But the view from the window covered this minus. We asked for a floor other than the first floor and it was given to us. The bungalow did not seem very comfortable, but our room with a sea view was beautiful. Ready to return to this hotel. The pharmacy just around the corner is expensive, go a little further to the left. The pizza is delicious at the night market near the river on the right about 5 minutes.

I don’t often write reviews, but always use them to make choices when looking to stay here. I booked this hotel to stay at for my son’s 10th birthday in January 2024. The room I booked was no refundable, but having read reviews I was happy to take the risk. 2 hours before we were due to travel there we received an email to say that their pool was closed due to unplanned renovations. Let’s be honest, this is the hotels only real selling point and the whole reason I booked it in the first place. Disappointed, we had no choice but to travel to the hotel to discuss things with their team in person. Arriving at the hotel it was a mess, almost looked derelict. Whoever took their hotel photos needs a pay rise, put it that way. It was clear that the work wasn’t unplanned, and in fact had been going on for some time. Letting guests know on the day they travel is obviously a ploy to prevent confrontation. We were told that we had the use of a pool at their sister hotel, 15 minutes away by shuttle. This runs every 2/3 hours. Not the fairy tail birthday I had in mind for my son if I’m honest. To compound things, the hotel refused to refund me my money and I had to pay again to stay at a hotel that was able to provide the facilities it promised. Looking back at the hotel, there were clear signs. They haven’t had a positive review since 2021, that tells its own story. If you are thinking of staying here, please don’t. You will end up disappointed as we were

A good hotel for its cost. Everything is within reasonable, food, room background, beach, territory and purity. Choosing a hotel for 700-800 dollars is not worth expecting anything supernatural. The rooms are ordinary, painted, old furniture and plumbing, but everything is tolerable, again, what can be expected for the budget option? Just clean, the staff is trying to support the hotel with cleaning and a little repair. Food is decent, and varied and taste good, very enjoyed meat dishes, they have a minimum of local spices, good first dishes , was even borshch, surprised, delicious. The territory is not big but well green, pleasant to walk around it. The beach is not big but quite cozy, clean, cleaners walk all the time cleaning dishes and garbage. Incoming water of sand, sea transparent without a huge number of local seamen. Only a lot of ravens have been observed. Behind the hotel area you can also go for a walk, there are souvenir shops next to you, and a fish restaurant, quite good, I advise you to visit. The conclusion is one, a normal hotel, don't wait for my impressions from it, because you don't buy it for $2,000. Good rest 

From the moment we arrived at the resort, we received the best service and assistance. The room was very big and spacious with big windows for lots of natural sunlight. The resort is right on the beautiful Lamai beach with sun loungers to chill and enjoy a drink. The area is very peaceful and perfect for unwinding. The resort has a massive swimming pool and a beautiful dining area outside. The staff was super helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend this resort!

We vacationed with our family in May 2023. Everything is great. Excellent rooms, service, excellent breakfasts. We lived in two rooms: Garden Villa and standard. Great pool. Excellent sea, the entrance is not too shallow and not too deep. The hotel's location is in the very center of the Lamai beach coastline with many restaurants and massage centers. BUT!!! I again booked and paid for two rooms for 2024 through trip.com. After that, I emailed the hotel to confirm that they had received the payment and were seeing these 2 reservations. There is still no answer. Good choice for me. Staffs were courteous and helpful. And I enjoyed the outdoor pool greatly.
