Taatoh Seaview Resort

This beachfront accommodation offers stunning views! It's located on a hill, so walking up and down can be a bit tiring, but it's very convenient for swimming.

Our hotel experience started with a wait for check-in on the cafe sofas. Unfortunately, there are about 10 cats living in the cafe area, so all the furniture had a strong smell of cat urine. The cats were constantly lounging on the tables, which made us not want to eat there. Luckily, there was a 7-Eleven about a 15-minute walk from the hotel that saved us. I think we were fortunate with our bungalow, we had S4. From other reviews, it seems many had much worse furniture and bathrooms, but ours was okay. The local squirrels also seemed to like our bungalow, throwing nightly parties on the terrace in front of the house, gnawing on some fruits and heavily covering the table with their scraps and droppings – but that's just nature's quirks :) What was truly good was the sea view and the snorkeling. Besides various fish, I saw a huge turtle, baby sharks, and triggerfish here. The latter, by the way, can be dangerous and attack people, so be careful. In the morning, the sea is very shallow with sharp corals, so it's better to swim only in the afternoon. The walk from our bungalow to the beach or reception was a good cardio workout because there are many steps of varying heights. It's good that there are a couple of porters on duty at the hotel ready to help with luggage transportation.

It's not as bad as some of the previous reviews suggest. The service was actually pretty good, and the view is absolutely stunning! It's close to Shark Bay, and you can walk right down to the beach, so the distance isn't an issue at all.

The accommodation has an amazing view, right next to Shark Bay, so you can walk straight down to the beach and go snorkeling. It's super convenient for anyone who loves snorkeling – this place is perfect! Plus, it's close to highlights like John Suwan Viewpoint and Freedom Beach, just a short motorbike ride away. However, getting in and out of the accommodation is a bit tiring because you have to walk up and down stairs – it feels like hiking up and down a hill! 🤣 My only complaint is that the shower pressure is extremely low. It's odd because the bidet has really strong pressure, but the shower barely trickles. It makes showering unsatisfying, and washing your hair takes ages because of the weak water flow.

This is a 2-star hotel with friendly staff in a great location. It's an excellent spot for snorkeling, and you can even see turtles and small sharks here.
