We arrive after driving 4 hours to pay respect to Rumi (I'm a huge fan). I reserved a room online using a Turkish local app only to find out 1) no one there spoke English or even bothered to use a translator (in a hotel mind you) in a service industry. 2) They demanded that I prove me and my long time partner are married......is that a thing here? 3) $180 room reservation was null and void and there was no refund unless I show a certificate. Why was there no mention of that in the booking app. 4) when I asked for a manager EVERYONE pretended they don't understand what it meant. What a rip off and a foul way to treat tourists. The only constant is the inconsistency here.

Otele kayıt yaptırdıktan sonraki girişlerde de oda numarası soruldu, kahvaltıdaki iki görevli farklı zamanlarda sırayla oda numaramızı sordu. Sürekli oda numaramızın sorulması rahatsız ediciydi. Odamız küçüktü, valizi açmaya alan yoktu. Vale, bellboy hizmeti yoktu. Kahvaltıda çeşit azdı, sıcak nerdeyse yoktu. Temizlik ve selçuk üniversitesine yakın olması sebebiyle tercih edilebilir. Benzer fiyattaki otellere göre alt segmentti.

Solid, clean, nice rooms, working air conditioning. No English language tv channels. First floor has largest rooms, some with kitchette and washing machine. BUT, first floor rooms are smoking rooms with attendant stench. Breakfast buffet adequate. No alcohol served in hotel restaurant but probably the same with all hotels, restaurants in this very conservative area of Turkey. Beer , wine, spirits can be bought at nearby Migros supermarket. Located in newest section of Konya with many restaurants and shops nearby. Unfortunately, a huge mosque is located across the street with very loud speakers. The O-Dark -Thirty call to prayer will knock you out of bed.

6 hafta kaldım konumu yüzünden ne zaman oda servisinden yemek istesem yarınki yoğunluk nedeni ile yemek yok deniyor kahvaltıda tost istemeyin direk pişmemiş sucuk arası kaşar yağlı ekmek getiriyorlar ama sürekli özür dileyip çok yoğunluk var diyorlar çok güzel bir bahane bence odalar kısmen iyi spor aletleri sayede kosu bandı çalışıyor geri kalanı çalışmıyor ama özür diliyorlar olsun 😅
