So good I’ve been twice this year and both times it’s been a delight. As a world traveller this little hotel just manages to give you the most relaxing and lovely stay. The staff and the food deserve special mentions. Now whilst there seemed to be a hard core element of people who complained about the food I really don’t understand how anyone could. Beautiful, imaginative, GREEK salads, grilled fish, chicken and pork, fries if you want them, vast amounts of varying local dishes, moussakas, Italian beef lasagne which was fantastic, beautifully cooked and every one of them delicious. There was always something for everyone. The salad bar is just fantastic. There’s olives, different cheeses, dips, herbs, oils, gorgeous fresh fruit. Now if you’re one to eat only a trashy British diet of chicken nuggets from Iceland you might find this plethora of healthy, Mediterranean food a challenge but that’s on you, not this hotel. I actually heard someone had complained about this. My, how I laughed. The desserts were just lovely too. Plenty of choice at every meal and you have to try that innocuous looking jar of orange rind in syrup. I might have eaten quite a bit of your supply. Sorry, but it was toooo good! Ok. On to the rest of the hotel. Rooms are lovely. We did have an issue where the drain was blocked. It’s down to those pesky nugget eating Brits who can’t be arsed to put their toilet paper in to the bins and throw it in the loo. No. Don’t do that. The drains in Kos are more genteel than ours at home and can’t cope. Just wipe, fold it up and pop it in the bin. Notices everywhere. No excuses or you make it unpleasant for the next person who stays in your room not to mention the poor guy who has to clear up your mess with great rods and a lot of Greek muttering. I felt quite ashamed on their behalf and it certainly wasn’t me!! Yes there’s no lock on the bathroom door in your room but unless you’re holidaying with your prude great aunt I think you’ll be fine. The pool is fresh, clear and lovely to swim in. The entertainment is there but not so much you feel you’re being blasted. The lounge area is comfortable and stylish and I particularly love outside the lounge where you can sit all day if you wish. Every evening there is a beautiful sunset. You can easily walk to the beach, swim in the sea. In an hour you can walk to Kos but the easiest thing is to hop on a bus at the end of the drive for 2e or a taxi ordered from reception is there in minutes and costs 10e. It’s lovely being away from the centre of Kos. It’s so peaceful but you still have great options to travel further and explore, which you should. Congratulations staff, on all you do. Your patience and your welcome are always noted.
