The price you pay is far from the service that one would expect form a 5-star hotel. 1. Rooms: Rooms are large and decently furnished but cleanliness is quite disappointing. Housekeeping was random at best, and they only cleaned on demand (for example, the bathroom or balcony were never cleaned unless we requested it explicitly). Rooms on the ground floor can be visited by stray cats if one leaves the door open. This is what happened to us. With my wife being allergic, we asked for an alternative arrangement which was promptly found. We were given a new room at an upper floor and with a better view. 2. Service: a. Beach service was horrible. First, like rooms’, beach cleanliness is a mirage. Stray dogs are around all the time and the beach is always dirty (see pictures of what the beach looks like at 9am on a typical day). The beach is also adjacent to a drain with stagnant water, which on a typical windy day sometimes smells. Second, almost none of the staff speak a decent English. Finally, the beach is open to outsiders. While nowhere was this written when I made the reservation, the end result is that, particularly during weekends, you may find yourself without an umbrella and beds. That is exactly what happened to us when we checked in on a Sunday afternoon. Moreover, barely are there controls at entry, so in theory anyone can (and in fact does) use the beach. b. Dining was also quite poor. The hotel has four restaurants but only two are open for dinner. This leaves us with fewer options. Yes, the nearby village offers alternatives, but it is not clear why a 5-star hotel should only have two restaurants open for dinner (note: one is a beach restaurant). c. On a positive note, staff were very helpful, especially Elena, the guest relations manager, who was very kind with us and tried her best to improve the service, yet there are structural problems that only the general management can and should try to solve. Speaking of which, we lodged a complaint with central Radisson and no one bothered to reply, not even an automatic reply acknowledging receipt of the message. As the saying goes: “the fish rots from the head”. 3. Location: This is definitely a plus. The hotel is located in a beautiful bay, with crystalline waters. However, the place is a bit self-containing, with very limited options to walk and dine around, and explore adjacent places. There is a no-frills village at walking distance but you can only reach it by taxi, as it is not advisable to walk on the margins of the road. In sum, if you are looking for a truly 5-star hotel experience look elsewhere.

Last day of a great week at the Ramira. This hotel is a solid 4*, if you’re expecting a 5 then you might be slightly disappointed in some areas. The hotel strengths are; • The staff. Genuinely happy to be here and serve you. Chatty, fun, lots of banter amongst themselves. Plus they are so attentive across all areas. A highlight would be the whole of the beach bar team and a big shout out to Erika at the sunset bar! • The Site. Good position on the beach, beautiful grounds with established trees and foliage. Excellent bar areas. The areas that makes this a 4* not the advertised 5 is; • Food. Buffet is repetitive and boring. This is just reaching 4* standard. The al a carte’s are an ‘attempt’ but do not hit the mark I’m afraid. The most frustrating bit about the food is the management team in the buffet, who is maitre d?? You queue up and then get told to find a table. This is meant to be a 5 star hotel I don’t expect to have to walk around fighting to find a table, I would expect to be shown to a table. The people with ear pieces may as well not be there as they’re useless. The poor table servers are running around like headless chickens trying to reset tables being hounded by diners waiting. Having been to the Mitsis grand hotel in Rhodes the management team need to take some ideas from their food options/operations and add to this hotel to future proof customers wishing to return here as, as it stands, I probably wouldn’t return unfortunately just because of the food. The beach food was actually excellent- the best gyros. Not served to a 5* standard? in white paper bags but very tasty. The pool sunbeds are so uncomfortable but the beach ones are very good. Nice walk to Kos town, took an hour but all flat and pavement.
My husband and I have just returned from a fabulous three week stay at the Blue Domes. We have been many times, and have never failed to be impressed. It is our favourite holiday destination by far. We were delighted to have an upgrade to our room on arrival. It made our trip even more special. Jaro at reception was amazing as we're the Storyteller staff. The staff do a great job and special thanks to those who made our trip so memorable with their service and friendly attitude:Nikos (Bobos😁) in the main restaurant, who was super efficient and attentive, he is excellent at his job. Big thanks too to Lola and Valia in the main restaurant too. They were like rays of sunshine, always so warm and welcoming. Tolis in the pool bar was super and efficient as was Maria. In fact, there are so many great staff it would be impossible to name them all, but thanks too to Maria and Martha in the pool garden, they were always so lovely and always happy to help. Our mini bar guy, Jimmy was also so good and always seemed so happy. Thanks too to Dimitrious in the main bar and the excellent staff in the night bar. We appreciate that not all staff are as experienced as others, which is why perhaps some people complained about service levels. We honestly didn't have any complaints. The staff do a great job by and large under extremely busy and pressurised conditions. The evening entertainment was superb. The themed restaurants were wonderful, particularly the South American. One wee piece of constructive criticism is the Pan Asian. Although the food was lovely, it was disappointing that there was no fried rice dishes on the menu. The menu for the Pan Asian in the Mitsis Laguna is much better, perhaps it's worth comparing them? The complex is very clean and well maintained and there is something for everyone. We cannot wait to return next year!
Just spent a week at this hotel with my wife and had fabulous time. It is a relatively small hotel and is about a 20 minute walk from the harbour. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby and a good supermarket about 100m up the road. The hotel was spotless throughout and the staff were all very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Our room was a good size and had a pleasant balcony looking out over the back of the property. The only thing that I can’t comment on is the food as we were self catering and went out and about to eat. I would certainly recommend Aegean Houses an we will be returning.
We had an amazing brunch in the Med restaurant. There was a mic up with the booking but the manager George sorted it all out. The food was exceptional. Overall I can say this is a lovely hotel well suited for families. The staff are helpful and lovely.
I recommend a short stay for island hopping rather than a two week stay. Save your money for a more service oriented hotel. It’s all about the instagrams pics. Style over substance. Intermittent cleaning, dirty linen. Flooded showers and then when you stay for two weeks you don’t get treated any differently than if we had stayed 2 days. Loads of children especially young noisy ones and watch out for the ants. Shame as we booked on Jet2 as an adult only hotel at the beginning of the year. It appears to have been changed now! On the plus side views are stunning, pools are amazing but on the chilly side. Staff are helpful and pleasant but seem to be managed to within a second of their time. Food good and variety all the time. We have spent a lot of money for an average holiday when it could have been marvellous with a little more customer care and engagement.

Primarily the hotel is in a fabulous location. On our last day I got up for the sunrise and had a swim directly in front of the hotel. No taxis, no bus, no extra cost. This is not advertised and it most definitely should be. It was one of the most beautiful experiences I had on Kos. The breakfast was good, with plenty of variety. The negatives could definitely be worked on. I booked a junior suite with a sea view for 3 adults. I asked by email that the room have 3 of everything as it was for 3 adults. When we arrived there was 2 bathrobes, 2 slippers, 2 big towels, 2 cups etc. On the balcony there were 2 seats. This was disappointing. I asked at reception for 3rd chair as there were bound 2 be rooms with only single occupancy to be told no. Furniture can't be moved. I asked the receptionist to check with a manager, this wasn't possible. Every morning breakfast finishes on the dot of 10.30. One morning we entered the dining room at 10, it was full. No tables, no crockery. We got a table at 10.15 and at 10.25 a waitress informed us breakfast finished at 10.30, which to me was a bit unreasonable. Every day there was oodles of food left at 10.30 and it was all carted away. I'd imagine it was thrown out. The coffee machine plugged out on the dot of 10.30. When guests are checking in they should be advised that breakfast is finished at 10.30 not that breakfast is available to 10.30 as basically they want you out of the dining room by 10.30.
Well kept grounds, shampoo conditioner body wash and face soap provided in room along with slippers and a robe, hair dryer, ( no iron ) bath towels and beach towels are provided and you can change your towel daily at the towel hut so no need to bring your own. Nespresso coffee machine provided in room so bring your own as they charge for these,Samsung tv in the room has options for screen mirroring and casting but as an iPhone user it didn’t help me much. Pool doesn’t close or get shut off in like some hotels I’ve been to, always seem to have sunbeds l, I have been once before bed and breakfast only and recently returned all inclusive which I would recommend as it’s very expensive to buy drinks or a cab into town is €12 each way and not very cheap to eat out. Jet ski paddle boarding and other various water sports available at the beach at about €50 for 15 mins for the jet ski. Check out is 11am and if you’d like late check out it is charged at €10 an hour, alternatively they will look after your luggage for the day and your able to use a shower room before you leave with fresh towels. Feeding times can be hectic, I personally preferred the food around the pool in the day the staff were more attentive with getting you drinks and clearing your plates and the salads were delicious and fresh. In the evenings there was entertainment and I found the waiter Ernest to be a nice guy very professional and sweet. Best service is in the lobby bar drinks and staff are great.
We ( my wife and I) stayed at that hotel and must say excellent stay. Large room with a nice walk-in shower, only if you stay on the ground floor a laundry rack would have been handy. Good/helpful staff ( and cleaners ) but 1 stood out namely barman Panagiotis , competent in terms of dealing with customers and conviviality is something you have to make yourself but he worked fantastically on that. Oneiro should be glad he works for them.
