The location is very convinient and the personel were friendly, but the management was too strict. We got 4 bed room with our trip.com reservation for a family four, but they wanted to charge extra 30 euros, claiming that our 16 year old dauther cannot be considered as child, even though I showed them a confirmed reservation form trip.com for a 3 adult and 1 child (in trip.com page under 18 year old kids are considered as child). They said they would give a discount of 3 Euros out of 30 Euros, showing a sympathy! We accepted to pay 27 Euros not to waste our short vacation time. But, then, they charged 3 more Euros at the check out time, saying that is for the tax and they forgot about it! The two beds for our son and dauther were sofas, not comfortable. The airconditioners were not cooling enough. The room quality is not for a 4-star hotel, barely 3-star hotel.
Aegean Houses

Just spent a week at this hotel with my wife and had fabulous time. It is a relatively small hotel and is about a 20 minute walk from the harbour. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby and a good supermarket about 100m up the road. The hotel was spotless throughout and the staff were all very friendly and exceptionally helpful. Our room was a good size and had a pleasant balcony looking out over the back of the property. The only thing that I can’t comment on is the food as we were self catering and went out and about to eat. I would certainly recommend Aegean Houses an we will be returning.
White Rock of Kos Hotel - Adults Only

We stayed at this beautiful hotel for a week at the end of September. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a hotel where ALL of the staff have been so friendly and accommodating. We had a room with a hot tub on the higher floor which was kept immaculate by Liza. She greeted us every morning and we chatted with her, a really lovely lady. Breakfast every day was everything you could want. All breakfast staff were very attentive. The pool and pool bar was kept spotlessly clean. The bar in the foyer was run by Dimitri. He was so friendly, we chatted a lot, he is a very interesting man. I really don’t think I could find any fault with this hotel. We ate in the restaurant twice in the evening and food was lovely. We used the hotel ‘taxi’ service to drop us into Kefalos and collect us and the golf carts around the resort are a godsend. Thank you to everyone who made our stay so enjoyable. We have booked to return next year already. I would like to mention again that all staff were amazing but exceptional staff were Liza, Dimitri, Yannis, Theodora, Katerina and Jenny. Thank you for such a lovely stay.

Primarily the hotel is in a fabulous location. On our last day I got up for the sunrise and had a swim directly in front of the hotel. No taxis, no bus, no extra cost. This is not advertised and it most definitely should be. It was one of the most beautiful experiences I had on Kos. The breakfast was good, with plenty of variety. The negatives could definitely be worked on. I booked a junior suite with a sea view for 3 adults. I asked by email that the room have 3 of everything as it was for 3 adults. When we arrived there was 2 bathrobes, 2 slippers, 2 big towels, 2 cups etc. On the balcony there were 2 seats. This was disappointing. I asked at reception for 3rd chair as there were bound 2 be rooms with only single occupancy to be told no. Furniture can't be moved. I asked the receptionist to check with a manager, this wasn't possible. Every morning breakfast finishes on the dot of 10.30. One morning we entered the dining room at 10, it was full. No tables, no crockery. We got a table at 10.15 and at 10.25 a waitress informed us breakfast finished at 10.30, which to me was a bit unreasonable. Every day there was oodles of food left at 10.30 and it was all carted away. I'd imagine it was thrown out. The coffee machine plugged out on the dot of 10.30. When guests are checking in they should be advised that breakfast is finished at 10.30 not that breakfast is available to 10.30 as basically they want you out of the dining room by 10.30.
Alexandra Hotel&Apartments

Fantastic location near to a lot of interesting archaeological sites, marina, port and old town. Cleaned daily with frequent changes of bedding and towels. The shower is over the bath. Pool is too small so did not use but offered use of sister hotel pool about 45 minutes walk. Wi fi and air con good. Friendly efficient staff. We were self catering for 2 weeks and this was very very basic. We expected 2 cooking rings but for a 4 star hotel we were surprised there wasn't more than 2 of each cutlery and crockery. Although there were 3 pans there was no cutting board, sharp knife or cooking implements. See photo attached. We have stayed in 3star accommodation with far better self catering facilities.
Zeus Hotel

Lovely, clean, family run hotel. The room was small but modern and the beds were very comfortable. The shower was enclosed, which is a plus in a small greek hotel and the water was always hot and powerful. We had a nice balcony to sit on for a quiet drink in the evening which was furnished with a table and 2 comfortable chairs plus a drying rack. On previous holidays to Greece we have had to pay between 10 and 15 euros for a breakfast buffet, most of which we wouldn't eat, so I dont know why the free breakfast comes in for so much criticism. We were more than happy with the buffet of cereal, bread for toasting plus crusty bread, butter and jams, cheese and ham and boiled eggs. Plus juice, tea and coffee. It is much more than we would eat at home and if you want more it is available from the snack bar breakfast menu for a small cost. It is the family who own and run Zeus that made staying here such a pleasure. They give you a warm and friendly welcome and work tirelessly to make your stay an enjoyable one. We enjoyed our week here so much that we have booked for next year and cant wait to return.
