The hotel is located right in the middle of the busy area in the city centre. Everything is close by. It is also located by seaside area with full of tourist spot. The room is very clean. The staff are all friendly and the food is so good. I enjoyed my stay in this hotel and I would recommend everyone to try this hotel of you come to Kota Kinabalu

I recently stayed at Mercure Kota Kinabalu, and my overall experience was a mixture of positives and negatives. The hotel's ambiance and service were generally acceptable, but a couple of aspects left me with a less than perfect impression. On the positive side, the room, although not the promised city view, was comfortable and well-maintained. The amenities provided were standard and met our basic needs for a short stay. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, adding a pleasant touch to our overall experience. However, one notable drawback was the discrepancy in the room description. Despite being assured of a city view, we were assigned a room overlooking the opposite facing the busy road. While this may seem like a minor issue, it did impact our overall satisfaction, as the promise of a particular view was one of the factors influencing our choice. Another inconvenience was the lack of dedicated parking facilities at the hotel. This meant that my husband had to purchase parking coupons daily, adding an unexpected expense to our stay. Moreover, the strict enforcement of parking regulations by 8 am posed a challenge, especially for guests who preferred to start their day later. In conclusion, Mercure Kota Kinabalu is a decent choice for a short stay, offering comfortable accommodations and friendly service. However, potential guests should be aware of potential discrepancies in room assignments and the absence of on-site parking facilities, which may affect the overall convenience and cost of their stay.

The location is convenient, it has plenty of good spa and restaurants nearby, however, it was too close to the fish market, you can smell the fish once you left the lobby. The overall hygiene is fine, bedsheet and towel are in very good condition, however, there are quite a lot of strains in the surfaces of toilet, also the shower room. And I found some ants at a corner of the room. The facilities are good, swimming pool and the rooftop bar are decent. All staff I have met are nice and friendly.

Well maintained resort and good service. Breakfast spread is good and yummy. Harbour is just 5-10 mins walk away to take boat ride to the Tunku Abdul Rahman islands. Boat ride is only about 15-20mins to the islands. Lovely great swimming pools for both adults and kids and a small private beach for snorkeling. Rooms are clean and spacious. Sunset is beautiful. Love the stay and we will be back. Thank you!

I've had the privilege of staying in numerous Shangri-La's throughout Southeast Asia, and this particular one felt somewhat dated and in dire need of modernisation. I could see signs of improvements in progress, with sections that appeared to have already received a facelift. On my first day, I ventured to the sauna, only to find the temperature so lukewarm that I couldn't even work up a sweat. I voiced my discontent, and I'm pleased to report that the issue was addressed promptly by the next day. One aspect that left me somewhat disenchanted was the interaction, or rather lack thereof, between the staff and guests. It didn't quite embody the exemplary service one would expect from a high-end 5-star establishment. However, there was a shining exception to this observation - Addy, who was stationed at the breakfast area. Addy demonstrated a commendable level of attentiveness, engaging guests at their tables and ensuring needs were met promptly. Whether you required additional items or sought information, Addy was the person to turn to. This kind of service truly exemplified the standard one would anticipate from a hotel of this caliber. I did have an enjoyable stay, but for this hotel to remain a five star there is room for improvement.

Overall nice hotel with very good facilities. I liked the edgeless swimming pool where you can have broader view of coastal area of KK including the ***a Island. The gym is also modern and a pleasant place to go. The restaurants are also attractive and i liked the breakfast the most as there are a lot of food options. 15/F roooftop is a good place for appreciation of sunset. The only problem is their room service efficiency: when you try to order something you might have to wait for a long time. Hope there’s improvement when I come back again in future.

However, what truly set this stay apart was the outstanding service provided by the hotel staff. I must make a special mention of one staff member whose name unfortunately escapes me. She mentioned that she has been a part of the hotel's team for the past 20 years, and her dedication to her work was palpable in every interaction we had with her. Her genuine friendliness, warmth, and professionalism enhanced our stay and left a lasting impression. I believe it would be wonderful if the hotel could consider acknowledging her dedication and exceptional service with a bonus or some form of recognition. Her commitment to ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of guests like myself deserves commendation, and such gestures would not only serve as a token of appreciation but also motivate her and other staff members to continue delivering outstanding service. Overall, my experience at The Pacific Sutera Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. I look forward to returning in the future and experiencing the hotel's hospitality once again. Nothing much that i can say. my family and I have amazing stay at Borneo Beach Villa karambunai for 3 days 2 night. The villas is clean, the pool is clean and the beach is so beautiful. My family really enjoy with the stay. However the reason i give. 4 star because our villa has some of broken chair at table outside and the door is very hard to open because of rusty. I think maybe the villa itself is too old. Mybe it just our villa not sure with another. It will be nice if they can check regularly maintenance for each villa Some of things need to remind while you in here: 1. Villas doesnt have WIFI. Only have at receptionist, thus if you want to do work while chilling make sure you bring your own wifi. 2. Make sure to buy any groceries that you want before reach to villa because the distant with mart is far away they didnt have their own mart, only restaurant 3. This villa didnt provide any lobby service. But aboVe all that we are really enjoy staying here.

I was surprised when I saw this hotel is rated as 2 stars in google. Like whatt? This hotel should be rated as 3 to 4 stars bcs the hotel services are the best. The hotel building is also huge. Perfect for staycation! Highlights: Friendly staff and efficient check in process. The front office staff explained very clearly about the hotel facilities. Good job! Spacious and clean room, modern room design, Smart Tv included, great ambience, free & fast wifi connection. I loveee the free breakfast and I’m a huge coffee lover, I like that there is a coffee maker, very convenient. The croissant is also amazing! I love all the food here 👍 Overall, well done Holiday Inn Express KK! Thank you for your amazing 5 star hospitality services. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
