I recently stayed at Mount Austin Park Hotel, and I was thoroughly impressed! The location couldn't have been better—just a short walk from a wide variety of eateries, offering everything from local delights to international cuisine. Whether you're in the mood for a quick snack or a sit-down meal, you'll find plenty of options right around the corner. The hotel itself was clean and comfortable, with friendly staff who were always ready to help. The rooms were spacious, modern, and well-maintained, making it a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring the city or enjoying the nearby restaurants. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a convenient, well-located spot with easy access to great food!

This was a staycation and we booked an executive twin with ‘2 large single beds’ as advertised, but the room was very small, so were the beds. Although rather well-appointed in terms of furnishings, there just isn’t quite enough space for 2 adults and a pre-teen child to roam. The tv is also smaller usual. There is no breakfast provided but the street that the hotel is located at has some options, but not where I would go for breakfast. The Mount Austin theme park is nearby, but if that’s where you’re heading, I’d assume you would like more space and comfort to chill out after an entire day of play.

I will always stay in this hotel whenever travelling to Johore Bahru. The room rate is quite economical and no changes for the past few years. The room facility has improved even the room rate remain unchanged. i have discovered that the hotel room already been put a refrigerator and the bathroom also has a glass to segregate the shower area when I stay there recently. As for hotel exterior, they have installed a mini fountain to beautify the area. Overall, satisfy to stay at this hotel.

Room is clean and there were 2 PCs. It’s an esport hotel so it’s a gaming hotel. Stayed 1 night to catch a flight in the morning to KL. We had a peaceful and deep sleep! Bed was very comfy and surrounding hotel was quiet. We didn’t want to leave the room. Nothing to complain about.

Relaxed vibe, relaxed and happy from every angle.. all the staff are the best.

It seems to come down to management. I’m truly curious about the staff’s training because their professionalism is lacking. When we came in, the three ladies stayed seated “working on Facebook”, only after I tried to make eye contact did they look up. Later in our stay, a young man and woman in the resort uniforms cut in between our group going through a doorway. It was a little odd but I thought they might be other guests but then I saw they were employees. There seems to be no concern for respecting guests. I agree with the negative breakfast buffet feedback- yikes. It was a true waste of money when we could’ve done much better calling in our own food or preparing ourselves. The beach is dirty but quiet and that was nice for our young children.

My son and I recently went to Lotus Desaru and it was really fun. I actually didn’t expect a lot of things from here, but it really surprised me. The room was spacious, with high ceilings and cozy lighting. We had a bedroom upstairs, which made it feel even bigger. It was clean and comfortable, perfect for the two of us. Their cable even had Nickelodeon, so that was a plus, and they also had some movie channels. They also have room service from one of their restaurants, it can take 30-40 minutes to arrive but the food was really nice and eating inside your own room has some perks to it. My son absolutely loved the water park, and I enjoyed the pools too. There were plenty of activities to keep us entertained, and a good variety of restaurants with both seafood and western options. The breakfast was great, and the fact that you can catch the sunrise near the beach was a big bonus for us (make sure to head to the restaurant before 8 am, which we did). The beach was also beautiful with white sand and much better than I anticipated. The only thing that made me think twice about going back to the beach was that there was a rope attached to a buoy of some kind. First, I stepped on it and got small cuts on the sole of my right foot, and then I hit it again with my left, but this time, I hit the top part of my foot, resulting in even bigger cuts. I had to buy two band-aids (which were available nearby at the souvenir shop) to stop the bleeding. I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one who had that experience. I thought the ride from Johor Bahru to Desaru would take long but it only took about 1.5 hours by Grab. The fare from JB to Lotus on Saturday morning was RM255, but oddly enough, the ride back to JB was only RM130. Not sure why, but either way, it’s really not far at all for families coming from Singapore looking for a beach getaway like this. We had an amazing time (aside from that injury), and we are actually booked to go back in October with my two sons and wife, who couldn’t join last time. I highly recommend it for families who want a short ride and time off from the busy Singapore life.

We are really satisfied and enjoy our holiday here. Spacious room and worth price. The shops are quiet far. After went to the mini zoo pengerang, we drop by at Batu Layar beach. Very recommended and suitable for family day. The kids really enjoyed the pool. We went to Resstoran Terapung Tanjung Belungkor for lunch.
