The hotel is not far from the station and there is a hotel shuttle bus, which is very convenient. On the way from the station to the hotel, there is a shopping street, which is very easy to shop. Both breakfast and dinner are buffets. The public baths and private baths are both very good and highly recommended.

We stayed for two nights and ordered kaiseki dinner at the hotel on the first night. The kaiseki cuisine provided by the hotel is satisfactory in terms of dishes and portions, and the restaurant environment is also very spacious.

This is an onsen hotel that caters to Chinese-speakers I think. Upon entering, I was greeted in Mandarin by one of the two hostesses. One is from Kwangtung and the other is from Taiwan. The more I know about this ryokan, the more I like it. We stayed two nights in room #1902 with a view of town and Western-style beds (though I didn't see any Westerners as guests). I immediately went to the men's onsen for 15 min -- very nice. Just outside the entrance begins a very busy pedestrian shopping street that ramps up to a Shrine with 400+ steps which I didn't attempt. The food served at breakfast and kaiseki dinner are outstanding. This is where Sakura shines. For Chinese guests, there are Chinese noodles and xiao lung bao. You can make your own udon bowl. Etsuko was our very excellent server at dinner. I couldn't find coffee before breakfast. There are no 7-11, Family Mart, or Lawson's nearby. I'd return for the food alone. Yum!

It is located on the 22nd step of the stairs to Konpira Shrine, and you can feel like you've climbed the 22 steps. It was a wonderful trip with a bath and dinner to soothe your fatigue after visiting the shrine. The bath also had a large bath, sauna, and open-air bath, and on the bath floor there was a tasting of local sake and free ice cream. Both were great after a bath. The dining venue was also a little stylish. The next day, you can go to the Konpira Kabuki stage to listen to the history of Kabuki, or enjoy a visit to a nearby museum.

I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. It was close to Konpira-san, had a private lounge, and had all-you-can-drink options. Since it was during the New Year period, there were many guests staying there, and we had a buffet at night, so it was very lively. The self-made udon was delicious. The food wasn't that great, but I was able to choose only what I wanted to eat, so I think it was a good idea to choose the buffet on New Year's Day, which was full of feasts. The place to wash your body was the shower room. It's not connected to the open-air bath, so it's a little inconvenient, but the size of the bath and the water quality were good.

The food and hot springs are great, and I've been going there every year for three years running for a family trip. The rose bath for women and the buffet are especially popular with the kids. Mt. Konpira is nearby, so I never miss a chance to visit it. I also went to eat Kagawa udon nearby, and to Reoma World, so there are lots of fun things to do. I'm planning to go again next year. I go every summer, but I'd like to go in other seasons too. They used air fresheners or something to take care of the smell in the room, but it was a little smelly for me, but other than that I was satisfied.

The night before the trip I was looking forward to, my child had a fever of 39 degrees Celsius, so when I contacted them to cancel on the day of the trip, they were very helpful in changing the date. After that, I am very grateful that we were able to have another safe and enjoyable family trip. This is my 4th time using it. Hatsune's room with an open-air bath is very beautiful and you can enjoy the bath many times. The breakfast and dinner meals are also very delicious.
