The hotel is not far from the station and there is a hotel shuttle bus, which is very convenient. On the way from the station to the hotel, there is a shopping street, which is very easy to shop. Both breakfast and dinner are buffets. The public baths and private baths are both very good and highly recommended.

We stayed for two nights and ordered kaiseki dinner at the hotel on the first night. The kaiseki cuisine provided by the hotel is satisfactory in terms of dishes and portions, and the restaurant environment is also very spacious.

This is an onsen hotel that caters to Chinese-speakers I think. Upon entering, I was greeted in Mandarin by one of the two hostesses. One is from Kwangtung and the other is from Taiwan. The more I know about this ryokan, the more I like it. We stayed two nights in room #1902 with a view of town and Western-style beds (though I didn't see any Westerners as guests). I immediately went to the men's onsen for 15 min -- very nice. Just outside the entrance begins a very busy pedestrian shopping street that ramps up to a Shrine with 400+ steps which I didn't attempt. The food served at breakfast and kaiseki dinner are outstanding. This is where Sakura shines. For Chinese guests, there are Chinese noodles and xiao lung bao. You can make your own udon bowl. Etsuko was our very excellent server at dinner. I couldn't find coffee before breakfast. There are no 7-11, Family Mart, or Lawson's nearby. I'd return for the food alone. Yum!
Response from Property: Thank you very much for staying at Kotohira Grand Hotel Sakura no Sho from afar. I am very happy to hear that you have successfully completed your visit to the Golden Sword Hira Shrine. All of our staff will continue to work hard to satisfy our customers. If you have another opportunity, please come. All the staff are looking forward to seeing you.

It is located on the 22nd step of the stairs to Konpira Shrine, and you can feel like you've climbed the 22 steps. It was a wonderful trip with a bath and dinner to soothe your fatigue after visiting the shrine. The bath also had a large bath, sauna, and open-air bath, and on the bath floor there was a tasting of local sake and free ice cream. Both were great after a bath. The dining venue was also a little stylish. The next day, you can go to the Konpira Kabuki stage to listen to the history of Kabuki, or enjoy a visit to a nearby museum.

It's been a while since I've come across an inn that provides near-perfect service. Even the towels had the hotel's name on them, and the dinner buffet was of a very high standard. It wasn't a busy day, but there was a live fish dissection show in the kitchen, and there were many high-quality dishes, and above all, the speed at which they replenished the food was particularly noteworthy. Most hotels don't replenish food even when it's low or below half full, but they replenished it at the perfect time, and there were three types of raw fish* at breakfast, so the standard was really high.

It was my first time there, but the staff were very polite and the food was delicious, so it was very good. I had children with me, so they had a kids' buffet, and I thought it was great that the food was at a height that made it easy for children to reach for. The buffet had a wide variety of Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes. They had Sanuki udon, and it was fun to make your own udon to your liking, which the children loved. There are many seats in the dining area, but we were there at breakfast time, so it took a while to find a seat. Other than that, it was really good, so I would definitely go again.

I stayed in a room with an open-air bath. It was close to Konpira-san, had a private lounge, and had all-you-can-drink options. Since it was during the New Year period, there were many guests staying there, and we had a buffet at night, so it was very lively. The self-made udon was delicious. The food wasn't that great, but I was able to choose only what I wanted to eat, so I think it was a good idea to choose the buffet on New Year's Day, which was full of feasts. The place to wash your body was the shower room. It's not connected to the open-air bath, so it's a little inconvenient, but the size of the bath and the water quality were good.

The food and hot springs are great, and I've been going there every year for three years running for a family trip. The rose bath for women and the buffet are especially popular with the kids. Mt. Konpira is nearby, so I never miss a chance to visit it. I also went to eat Kagawa udon nearby, and to Reoma World, so there are lots of fun things to do. I'm planning to go again next year. I go every summer, but I'd like to go in other seasons too. They used air fresheners or something to take care of the smell in the room, but it was a little smelly for me, but other than that I was satisfied.

Response from Property: Thank you very much for staying at Sakura no Sho with your family recently. We would like to thank you once again for taking the time to post a review despite your busy schedule. We are very happy to hear that your children enjoyed their stay. All of our staff will continue to work hard to ensure that our customers are satisfied. There are other recommended seasons to visit Kotohira as well. On October 10th, Kotohira Shrine holds its annual festival, around the end of November you can enjoy the autumn leaves on the approach to the back of Kotohira Shrine, and from late March to early April each year the area around Sakura no Sho is surrounded by cherry blossoms, creating a very festive atmosphere. If you have the opportunity, please enjoy Kotohira in other seasons as well. All of our staff look forward to welcoming you again. Thank you for using Sakura no Sho. The night before the trip I was looking forward to, my child had a fever of 39 degrees Celsius, so when I contacted them to cancel on the day of the trip, they were very helpful in changing the date. After that, I am very grateful that we were able to have another safe and enjoyable family trip. This is my 4th time using it. Hatsune's room with an open-air bath is very beautiful and you can enjoy the bath many times. The breakfast and dinner meals are also very delicious. The lounge had all-you-can-drink alcohol and soft drinks, and plenty of snacks, so we had a relaxing time. thank you very much.

Because it gets dark early in winter and it is already dark when you arrive. If you are driving there, it is recommended to slow down and pay attention to the one-way street. If you are not sure where the parking lot is, you can drive to the hotel entrance to drop off your luggage, and then ask the staff to help park the car. The key will be kept for you and you can pick it up when you check out the next day. The counter will inform you of the parking location. Traveling with a toddler who will be four years old in two days, Sakurazuki's service is attentive and child-friendly. There happened to be many ********* interns when I visited, and the language became much smoother. The banquet dinner and buffet breakfast were very good. Delicious food, comfortable accommodation and a great location completed the visit to Kotohira-gu Shrine and left good memories.

The food is delicious, the inn is clean, and you can spend a relaxing time. In addition to dinner, the breakfast buffet is plentiful, and the staff were all very helpful, so I was satisfied with the high reviews. I've been to the hot springs many times, and they're always very clean, and I appreciate the free massages. The rooms are spacious, and the comfortable environment and facilities such as free mineral water and coffee machine make me want to come back again. You can really relax and have a relaxing time while avoiding the crowds and it's very relaxing. This is also a hot spring inn that I would like to stay at.

The location is a little far from the station, but there is a shuttle bus (takes about 15 minutes), so I don't think it will be a problem. It's a quiet place. It is convenient for worshiping as it is located on the approach to Mt. Konpira. You can leave your luggage and visit the shrine. The hotel staff were also very pleasant. While I was waiting in the lobby to kill time, I was served tea and sweets. The facility is a clean place with just the right amount of cleanliness. The food was delicious, and although the breakfast was buffet style, there was a wide variety of choices, and there was also a decaf option for the coffee machine.
