Brennia Kottefaru Maldives

This is a lengthy review as I want to cover all the pros and cons regarding this resort. The pros out way the cons and with a little effort this resort can be a 5 star resort that it already claims, but is definitely not currently. Before I breakdown each area (or you get bored of my review) I want to start off with the biggest positive the island has. THE STAFF. They are fantastic in every department and we can't thank them enough. Whether it was from the guys who sweep the beach every morning to the bar staff serving the last drink before lights out, you cannot fault them. Some of the staff we got to know well and we would like to say a special thank you to: Annu - Restaurant Rithesh - Bar Rohith - Bar Pratul - Housekeeping - Thank you for the amazing bed art you created. Rakhal - Mini bar man Roni - Restaurant Didarul- Restaurant Kevin - Bar Ibrahim - manager Arrival and Greeting - We arrived after a long flight and a very pleasant Sea plane transfer and we were greeted by two members of the management team as we stepped foot on the island (please note this as I do have a niggle later in my review). We walked the short distance to reception and checked in which was a pleasant experience and they went through the all inclusive package. Guest Room - We were then drove by buggy to our room which internally was excellent and what you would expect from a 5 star resort. It had all the amenities, it was spotlessly clean, the bed was very comfortable, the two showers and toilet were all in very good condition and there was plenty of storage space for clothes etc. The mini bar was stocked daily and was plentiful. What let the room done was the exterior, we had a Ocean pool villa and the standard of maintenance was extremely poor. The banister leading to the sea was virtually falling off, there were screws protruding and could have caused a bad injury if they were stood on, some of the decking planks were rotten and very spongy and there two steps missing going into the sea making it very difficult to get in and out. We mentioned this to reception and twice they attempted to fix it. after the second time, I took photos and sent it to the management team as it was getting quite dangerous on the decking and that is one place we wanted to spend a lot of time. The whole team were very responsive and they agreed that this was not their normal standard and offered a different room for us to move to. We weren't bothered about moving we just wanted our exterior to be safe but we did move and it was like chalk and cheese, the second room was just as perfect inside but the exterior was fully safe and secure. For a 5 star resort, all the rooms have to be immaculate. Restaurants - There are 3 restaurants around the island but one is only included in the AI package, this was the Lime restaurant which was a buffet style restaurant. We were there for 14 nights and didn't miss a meal, there was plenty of choice and each night was themed and for us the food was

Wow what can we say the minute we got off the seaplane we were welcomed by Ibbe who took us to reception got us all checked in with a lovely iced tea then a little drive round in buggy showing us where things were then to the room where we found our cases & we were totally blown away we had a beach pool villa absolutely amazing.Ibbe checked on us all throughout our stay making sure we had everything we wanted.A big thank you to Arif who came in twice a day to clean our room amazing job Thank you Arif.Thank you Azad the restaurant manager always looking after us going above & beyond.Thank you to Abdula for arranging a special meal the night before we came home.Thank you to all the bar staff who were very attentive at all times.Would highly recommend this place if you want an off grid relaxing holiday the island is absolutely stunning we liked it that much we have booked to return next year and can't wait to go back Kevin & Debbie Room 108

A huge thank you to Brennia Kottefaru, from the moment we arrived to the moment we left it was a faultless and a magical experience. We were greeted by the very professional ‘Ruby’ whom showed us all around our island on a buggy, we were staying on the lagoon side of the overwater pool villa and we were overwhelmed by its beauty. Each mealtime was a treat and the waiters addressed us personally and with such care and attention each time, special thanks to Azad, Azeem and Abdulla for helping make it all so memorable. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone on the island, a free snorkelling trip and free sunset cruise were real delights, we swam with 3 turtles which with my 2 grown up Son’s I shall hold dear in my heart forever. I can’t possibly list all that is perfect about our stay because there is too much. Abraham the islands manager always checked in on us almost daily to confirm everything was just perfect and it was, it always was. A huge thank you to all the staff at Brennia, our magical time with you and the island’s beauty we shall hold dear forever.

Fantastic holiday. We stayed for 2 weeks in an over water villa. It was very spacious with a lovely outside shower. A very comfortable super king size bed. Lovely decking with access to the sea for snorkeling which we did most afternoons. Lots of lovely sealife. Our room boy was lovely and always made the time to ask if we needed anything. The restaurant has a great selection of food for every meal, the restaurant staff are so helpful, always smiling. The rose wine was lovely. Plenty of sunbeds available on the beach and at the pool, fresh towels available every day. Staff always available at the sunbeds to bring drinks. Lovely selection of cocktails and iced coffee. The bar staff are a delight especially Sara what a lovely girl from Myanmar. The lovely boy from 🇲🇲 Myanmar and Kevin from 🇮🇳 India. We will definitely recommend Brennia for anyone thinking of going to The Maldives. Thank you for a wonderful 2 weeks.
