We had a great time at this hotel the view 10/10,
The only way to stay at this hotel is to book it with the pool and mountain view, breakfast was amazing, food from the restaurant where spot on. Drinks where great. Staff was lovely assisted us w the lugagge and with the last min room change amazing stay. Very relaxing.
Only cons was the walk back everynight. Uphill and dark which is not their fault but just be aware.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The most gorgeous location, wonderful views of the jungle, the cliff and the sea. An outdoor swimming pool with gorgeous views. Very tasty breakfasts, good cuisine in the restaurant and pleasant prices. The staff is very friendly, smiling and friendly. I recommend this place to visit and have already recommended it to my family.

Absolutely stonishing luxurious hotels with decent price. I love being surrounded by mountains and nature. A bit of a walk from the beach but the service, the tranquility and the friendly staff of the place made the right choice for me.

disgusting service, photos don't match. We were deceived and given other rooms which were very bad. Internet in the hotel does not work well.

The Hotel is very good to relax, we had a garden view with lots of green and it was perfect to shutting off all thoughts from Home/Work/Family and so on. It has a pleasant walking distance to the west and east beach ! Also they have an every 2 hour Tuk Tuk to pick you up from the beaches or to the beaches ! By Request, they also drive you there out of schedule which was really nice, but as I said the two Beaches are not that far to walk by. The Pool is clean and has a small cute snack & cocktailbar with a big veranda as well. the Prices are very affordable for a Hotel and the Breakfast are good as well, changing 2-3 Menus everyday but the standad Ham, Toast, Pancake, scrambled Eggs are fixed ofc ! really delicious

Everything is excellent except the food is just ok, not great. The room is spacious and clean, the view is beautiful, the staffs are very friendly, very happy with it.

In addition to the advantages of the hotel mentioned in the above reviews - a chic location surrounded by rocks, a swimming pool (in our case, rooms) overlooking the sea, a large, beautiful, very well-groomed area, I would like to note the PERFECT work of the staff with excellent English at the reception, in the restaurant, and in cleaning rooms - excellent service! A shuttle to the beach is provided, and the pool bar (open until 10 p.m.) offers delicious cocktails with happy hours from 3.00-6.00 pm. Riley is simply adorable!

Beautiful, clean, very good price. We like it better than the seaside. All service employees are good. But if the elderly must walk very carefully. It's a high hill. May fall easily.

The pinnacle of Phutawan is the soft bed. Once you lie down, you can't get out of it. The hotel was surrounded by rocky cliffs, so the scenery was really cool. It was worth taking the shuttle to the beach or walking. The swimming pool is nice too. In front of the hotel, there is a cafe where you can climb, and the coffee tastes good and the atmosphere is good, so I recommend you to go there. The room and toilet are not spacious. Hotel location is beautiful over looking the mountain/sea, the pool area particularly was amazing! (Although as other reviews have said it does need some maintenance of broken tiles). Room was a good size. Would recommend requesting the hotel Tok tok to pick up from longtail boat with luggage particularly as hotel is up a steep hill. There were also sometimes monkey as the bottom of the hill! We also booked our onward travels with the hotel which proved easy enough to book. However, the transfer company were about 40mins late picking us up at the pier, we were also lead to believe at the hotel it was one bus to Khao Sok but it turned out to be 2 buses and nearly and an hour wait at the Ao Nang bus station.

We really enjoyed our stay at Phutawan. We arrived late in the evening and the hotel arranged our airport pick up and transfer it was very easy. We were in formed of some minor construction during our stay as it was the low season and our room was upgraded much to our delight. We honestly never really noticed the construction. The resort is tucked away up a hill and has gorgeous views nestled in the mountains. I recommend booking a room with a balcony one that has sea view or partial sea view. We also recommend their cooking class! Absolutely loved it and the head chef is brilliant. Know before you go: - the resort has a big hill to walk up and within the resort too - pack light!!! Rucksacks ideal not a 30kg luggage like our friend!! - about 5 min walk into the main strip but tuk tuk is available with the hotel -decent breakfast buffet enough variety for everyone - waterproofs for the luggage - hotel provides umbrellas and a beach bag and towels -bring cash smaller notes for the long tails -the lagoon and bay cave hikes get very very muddy when wet pack good shoes -beware of the monkeys at the bottom of the hill don’t have open bags or plastic bags with food they will come for you!!! We would def stay at this resort again - the hotel is in the process of updating, pool needs some work but honestly no issue for us
