Grand Mercure Krabi Ao Nang

Spacious and very clean room. Very generous breakfast. Staff were very professional and kind. 100% recommended hotel.

The cleanliness, the convenient location close to everything, the kindness of the staff, the beautiful room, and the delicious and varied breakfast. The hotel is new.

First off, the towels were yellow and there was way too much hair on the sofa and floor, but whatever! However, what I absolutely can't stand is being scammed. When we checked in yesterday, they told us there were free potato chips at the bar. She used her phone to translate, we took a photo, and she showed us the translation. We said okay, thank you. Today, at check-out, they told us the two boxes cost 180 THB. I showed her the translation she used on her phone yesterday, and she said she didn't understand English or Chinese. I then told her to look at the Thai, and she said the Thai didn't mention 'free.' I was like, ??? Her attitude was typical of someone accusing Chinese people of being cheap, which made me so angry. Who travels and cares about 180 THB?? But this pure scamming is just disgusting!! If I had known two small boxes of chips would cost 40 yuan (or roughly 180 THB), who would eat the hotel's chips?? It's absolute fraud!

The shuttle bus departs on the hour, but it's hard to catch. Bali, as a resort, offers on-demand shuttle services, but this place doesn't, which is a shame. The hotel doesn't provide any audio equipment, and its 15-minute walk to the ferry pier isn't ideal.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. I mentioned it beforehand, and they decorated the bed for a honeymoon event, though there was no room upgrade. The location is about a 15-minute walk from Ao Nang Beach. It's not super close. The shuttle bus only runs 3-4 times a day, so we mostly walked. However, many tours depart from Ao Nang, so the overall location wasn't bad. There are many Indian and Muslim guests. Perhaps because of this, the breakfast and hotel food seemed to cater to their tastes. The Pad Thai at the hotel's Da Vino restaurant is truly delicious, so you must try it. However, the food takes a very long time to arrive. The prices are also a bit high; we ate there twice, and it cost 1,200 baht and 1,800 baht. Upon check-in, they offer orange juice as a welcome drink. The female staff member at the front desk with long black hair tied in a low ponytail was incredibly friendly and proactive, which left a lasting impression. She seemed to work with a real sense of dedication. The room is small. It's not large and the facilities are more akin to a 4-star rather than a 5-star hotel. The finishing touches and bathroom seemed a bit lacking. The bed was comfortable. Sandals and pool towels are provided. Basic amenities like toothbrushes and shower caps are simple. The hand wash is a bit far from the sink, which is an odd design. Crucially, the Wi-Fi worked well on my phone but I couldn't connect my laptop, which was inconvenient. On our last day, after checking out, we visited Railay Beach. The hotel has separate shower rooms in the lobby, so we could shower even after checking out. I think this is a really big advantage of this hotel. Also, a staff member named Mu was very kind. Honestly, I'm not sure if I would stay here again if I came back. There are many other better places. However, for a one-time experience, I think it's good.

The environment is beautiful, and the location is excellent. The hotel is new, and the facilities are well-maintained.

Amazing hotel! The rooms are clean, and housekeeping tidies up daily; if anything was left a bit messy, they neatly fold it. We had a room with direct access to a small pool. The staff are friendly; if they see you with bags, they offer to take you to your room in a golf cart. Breakfasts are varied, with stunning views of the Krabi mountains. I'm adding this hotel to my favorites!
