jayparkxHighly recommend! I regretted not booking this place from the start. We initially booked for 2 nights and ended up extending our stay! The location is quiet, and it was super convenient for us since we rented a scooter. I'd suggest just renting a scooter directly from the hotel; it makes drop-off easy, and their scooters are very new. Each room is individual, very clean, and smells lovely when you walk in. Plus, there's a microwave in the room, perfect for heating up food from 7-Eleven! Staying here felt really homey, not like a typical hotel. The staff's service was excellent, and they provide everything like toothbrushes. I absolutely loved it here! A major plus: the shower water here is quite clean; the filter we brought barely showed any change! If I ever come back to Krabi, I'll definitely book this place again!

Guest UserWe stayed at Royal Nakara with our infant, and the experience was wonderful. The staff were incredibly accommodating and always ready to help. The hotel also has a lovely pool, and its location is convenient—close to the night market and other tourist areas. We truly enjoyed our stay.

FraybentoHere’s a polished review you can post:
Really enjoyed our stay at ChaoKoh Phi Phi Hotel & Resort. The highlight was definitely the swimming pool — absolutely stunning, beautifully maintained and a great place to relax during the day. The hotel has a fantastic location, close to everything while still feeling like a relaxing place to come back to. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, and the overall atmosphere was excellent. Would happily stay here again when visiting Phi Phi!

TiffanyyyyyyyyyWe really enjoyed our stay! Everyone was friendly, but a special shoutout to the concierge uncle at the entrance — he always had the biggest smile and was so welcoming and helpful every time we passed by. Such a lovely person and definitely one of the things we’ll remember about our stay 😊
The hotel was comfortable, clean, and overall a really pleasant place to stay. It is a little further from the beach, but honestly it wasn’t an issue at all for us since we rented a motorbike and could get around easily. Junior Suite Room was huge and hotel accommodated our request for the L-shaped window room overlooking the mountains. Breakfast was decent too.
Overall, we had a great time here and would happily come back again!

JanicejnI absolutely loved my stay at this hotel!
Room Upgrade & Design: I was upgraded to a newly renovated room, and it was stunning! The design is very beautiful, featuring a minimalist style with warm wooden tones. I was very impressed with the room itself. The only minor drawback for guests seeking absolute quiet is the soundproofing of the front door, which is a little thin. You can still hear some noise from people walking past in the hallway.
Exceptional Staff: The service from the staff was outstanding. Hardy, Kik, and Cream were all wonderful, providing excellent and very friendly service. A special mention also goes to Lusho at the breakfast restaurant. He took excellent care of me, always ready to recommend dishes and answer any questions we had about the food—just ask him anything you need!
Location: The location is superb! It's just a short 7-minute walk to Ao Nang beach and very close to the night market, restaurants, and a 7-Eleven.
Facilities:
• Spa: The hotel spa is fantastic! I had the aroma massage for 850 THB, and it was excellent—both muscle and mind felt completely relaxed. The calming natural sounds, especially with the rain falling during my session, made it incredibly soothing.
• Fitness & Pool: The fitness center is well-equipped, and the swimming pool is lovely.
Overall: This is the perfect place for a relaxing, no-stress vacation. The food is good, the location is excellent (close to the beach and nearby restaurants), and the facilities are comprehensive. I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning!

JiyidanFirst, the positives: the environment is lovely, the private villa is incredibly quiet with no noise, and the location is excellent, right on Ao Nang Beach. The room size is also very generous.
The downside is that the front desk staff are incredibly inflexible. It's a real hassle to try and switch rooms or extend your stay in the same room, and communication is very difficult. If you stay at this hotel, you'd better make sure you don't need to interact with them at all.

Guest UserSTUNNING ROOMS & ECO-EFFICIENCY VS. A FILTHY, DANGEROUS POOL NIGHTMARE! (2/5 Stars)There is a shocking, unbelievable contrast in this hotel! While the room quality, the housekeeping staff, and the eco-friendly room concept are absolutely outstanding, the resort management completely fails when you step outside, delivering a loud, highly dangerous, and unhygienic health hazard. The Room & Eco-Concept are absolute Perfection (10/5 Stars): To be completely fair, the room itself deserves 10 stars. It is very spacious, smells amazing, and was excellently clean. The beds are super comfortable, and the mattresses/pillows are top-notch. The bathroom is huge, and the balcony is very cute. What I highly respect and love is their environment-friendly concept: They completely avoid single-use plastic waste. Toiletries are in large, refillable dispensers, and complimentary daily water is provided in sustainable glass bottles. They even have a ”My Green Day” program to skip room cleaning to save water and chemicals. This eco-policy is fantastic and exactly what I support! The Disappointing Towel Double-Standard: While the room focuses on saving resources, the pool management destroys this philosophy. They enforce a tyrannical rule: pool towels MUST be returned before 9:00 PM daily, or you face a shocking 800 THB fine. Because of this bureaucratic madness, guests are forced to return completely dry, unused towels (due to constant rain), which the hotel then throws into the heavy laundry anyway just to track their numbers. A massive, hypocritical waste of water and detergent!Absolute Biohazard & Injury Risk Pool Zone (See Pictures): I have traveled to 68 countries—including remote areas of India and Africa—but this pool zone is the most neglected, unhygienic catastrophe I have ever seen. It is an absolute health hazard and a severe injury risk for children! The floor tiles are covered in a thick layer of years-old black grime and incredibly slippery, slimy green algae where anyone will instantly slip and fall. The photos prove total abandonment: multiple flattened geckos are decomposing on the wet tiles, alongside massive, dead cockroaches and giant beetles rotting in algae slime that are simply never cleaned up. Underneath the sun loungers, you find disgusting clumps of human hair, and gross hair strands are literally hanging down from the dirty steps. The entire area is littered with loose plastic bags, cables, sharp plastic straws, and discarded cigarette butts. A filthy, heavily stained towel is simply thrown on the ground as a mat. Even the sunbed metal tension ropes are heavily rusted, sharp, and stick out dangerously right where people walk.Deafening Construction Site: The hotel operates as an active, open construction site without warning. Ugly green safety nets cover balconies right above the pool area. The noise from non-stop metal-flexing and drilling is unbearable, causing severe headaches within an hour. They keep it open out of pure greed instead of renovating during a temporary closure.Broken Infrastructure & Degrading Smoking Policy (See Pictures): The pool restroom is permanently locked (”Out of Order”) and completely unusable. The outdoor showers cannot be used either; they are heavily stained, and the drains are totally clogged with rotting leaves and discarded plastic spoons, leaving the filthy water standing there.
Furthermore, smoking is strictly banned on private balconies, forcing guests down to a single trash can at the lobby entrance. There is absolutely NO roof or shelter over this spot! When it rains, guests are forced to stand completely unprotected under dripping trees in the absolute pouring rain next to a wet, stinking bin. There are no seats or tables, so you have to place your drinks directly onto the dirty, wet trash bin. Think twice before booking!

medusa_csThe hotel was good. We lived on A7 room, bear by the lobby and the beach. There were not so many guests, most of people came here only for one day and leave the beach at the evening.
Breakfast was good, serving on a terrace.
Beach was... normal. Not so many people as at Phuket. There are enough deckchairs, but some of them are ”permanently occupied”. People leave their towels and never come back, staff make nothing to fix it.
We saw some monkey one day, they were looking for something to eat in the thashcan.
Hotel is good for it's money, but not much things to do around. To do something interesting you have to ride to Tonsai on a boat-taxi for 100-150 bat.

Marlé South AfricaReally beautiful place right on the beach. Several pools. Nice restaurant and amazing breakfast buffet, even for me as a vegan. Our room was nothing special so we spent most of the time at the pool. Many chairs to lie on in the shade. A bit over priced for the Chinese new year holiday. But we really enjoyed it and the staff was very friendly and moved us to a new room after we complained about noisy neighbors. Check-out time is 11am which is a bit early to be honest. But you can still relax by the pool and facilities after checkout.

Check in was a breeze with luggage handlers helping carry your luggage from the pier to the hotel. The reception girls are really lovely and helpful with whatever request you might have(like booking boats to your next destination), just remember to say please and thank you(kohp khun ka/krap). The hotel is the last one on the pier side bay, therefore is really quiet, even now in high season. The down low is that you have to walk 20minutes to restaurants and bars on 30+ degree heat + high humity,so expect to arrive sweating both ways. The hotel itself is probably 40/50 years old and seems that never been renovated, the inside of the rooms need freshing up,paint etc...an overall renovation of the whole building. Although the rooms were clean, aircon was good and our room with the pool access(1 of 3) had great views from the bay. Pool was also clean and it was at a good temperature. If you are here for just a couple of days it is fine. Breakfast is basic but they have an egg station, so you can order your eggs however you prefer. And the black coffee was great too(better than other hotels we stayed in Bangkok/Krabi). The hotel staff were very kind to supply my wife with Flying Rabbit(a local thai version of gaviscon/diarrhoea medicine) which helped a mild food poisoning combined with charcoal tablets. Moreover, the hotel has a little private beach with sun lounges at the very end of the bay, perfect for chilling when you don't have any boat trips booked for the morning. Be aware that it becomes shady after around 3pm because its so close to the mountain. Also there were monkeys signs on your doors to keep them lock to prevent curious monkeys of rummaging through your stuff but we haven't seen any during our 3 night stay. Would I stay at this hotel again? Probably not unless completely renovated:, too far from the restaurants and bars and very old/tired. Make sure you use some walking shoes when going out because you definitely gonna hit that 10000 steps mark.
