I was assigned a room at 4th floor. Since its at lower level of its 15 storey, I requested a room facing not facing the noisy main street. Good choice: view of a football filed, a mosque and part of the city. The room: The Hotel management probably believe that 1980s heyday decor is a selling point. Save for the flat screen telly, the rest still preserves its 80s setting: louvred wardrobe, bedside cabinet central console with rocker switches, blanket on top of sheets (not quilt), tiled (not marbled) bathroom floor, queen (not king) bed. They try to keep the cleanliness but the permanent stains on chairs, moulds around aircond vent, peeling furniture paint, mildew on bathroom wall are beyond the housekeeping department’s routine; the whole place needs serious makeover.

The Location of the Hotel is Super Convenient. Walking Distance to Kuantan 188 Tower, Art Streets and Night Markets. However, surrounding a bit run down but have lots of Parking.
Cleaniness of the Hotel need more improvement and Renovation is Needed. Sound Proof for the Room is pretty bad. All items in Hotel Room is Old but still usable. Luckily Two Night was calm and peace, we sleep very well. Services is Good and have lots of Parking Behind Hotel. Suitable for Business Trip. Overall its still a Nice Stay. Not too bad.

Overall stay was alright , staff was very friendly and breakfast was basic but good at the price we paid . Only thing is the room which we stayed in was clean but very old , compared to the picture where some of the other rooms were already refurbished with carpet and also new toilets . The wooden toilet door frames were already rotting in our room . Travelled with a young kid of 4 years old , but the window insulation was pretty bad as we were facing the back nearby a mosque and we could hear the speakers up to 1030pm and then again at around 530am . Really need to improve on that to enable a good quiet sleep .

Good points - Clean room. Clean bathroom. Bed was comfy. Bedsheets was nice and clean. Bath towels were clean and fluffy. Plenty of lifts. Shower was hot. Breakfast buffet was expected for the price paid. Bad points - Room was small. Had a full length window facing another block of rooms. Unable to open the glass window. Aircon was not cold - woke up a few times feeling hot. Unable to control the aircon. Bath mat was not provided. Carpet in the corridor outside looks like it has not been vacuumed for months. Keycard was a bit difficult to work - had to keep swiping it to open the door.

I really really loved the ambience of the hotel and the view of my hotel. It could be a little hot as the lobby and the hall did not have air-conditioning but the room and the view were definitely worth every penny.
The room was really cozy and comfy with the studio apartment setup. The breakfast was so so because I was hoping for some local cuisines but couldn’t find any.
It was quite far away from town area and nothing much around the vicinity but I still think it’s worth it with the views.

Due to last minute booking, we managed to get a twin bed room .But the room is quite rundown, with window facing the main road and cant close tight, we cant sleep well the whole night as the noise can be heard whenever the cars passing by during midnight. The breakfast also not satisfactory, as we step in the cafeteria around 930am, the food is not much left and with no replenishment. I understand this hotel is budget hotel but the hotel charge is raised due to the peak season, the service and quality of service should raise in tandem with the service charged in order to be fair to the customer like us'.

The resort is nicely set up. Lots of trees and those who love nature wld definately love this place. The issue is the staff are mostly new and without much knowledge and not much sure they are properly trained/guided. Some whom are locals, don’t seem to be able to speak proper English. The restaurant is always infested with flies. Be careful of what u eat there. During my few days there for bfast, there were flies everywhere. Flies were dancing here and there on the food and our table. Some of their food is not covered and even their staff saw it but like just cldnt be bothered. Food taste is just ok only. Bicycles for free to use. But not maintained with many spoilt and useable. The room was ok. Spacious n clean. The villa’s pool was a bit dirty. I wonder how often they clean the pool. I understand sometimes leaves and other debris will drop in but it was dirty. Luckily upon my complaint, the staff came quickly to clean it, though wasn’t properly cleaned. The pool’s metal railing steps were moldy. The resort is big with beautiful landscapes. but sadly not properly maintained, not well kept. One can see debris and fallen leaves which were there for many days unattended. They seem to be lacked of staff to do the cleaning or at else, sweep it. It sad to see such beautiful resort to end up like tis.

GGuest UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at The Royale Chulan Cherating Villa, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived until the day I checked out, the staff and services at this resort exceeded my expectations! Without a doubt one of the best resorts in Malaysia and if you're ever in Cherating, THIS is the place to stay! First and foremost, the staff deserves a standing ovation. Their warm welcome and genuine hospitality made me feel like a VIP guest. Whether it was the front desk staff, the buggy drivers, the housekeeping team or even the F&B staff, everyone was attentive, friendly, and always ready to assist with a smile. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and for that, I am truly grateful. Kudos to Rizam for introducing us this hidden gem. The dining experience at the resort was exceptional as well. The Ocean restaurant offered a delectable array of dishes, catering to various tastes and preferences during my breakfast and dinner. I was particularly impressed with the chef's culinary skills and the waitstaff's impeccable service. Shoutout to Mahdi and Nizar in building a strong service team. Each meal was a delightful journey for the taste buds, and the dining experience added another layer of enjoyment to my stay. However, while the staff and services were outstanding, there is room for improvement when it comes to the resort's facilities. Although the property is well-maintained, some areas appear a bit outdated and could benefit from a renovation. I was told that they have very limited budget provided by the management and the improvement process is quite slow. They don't even have a gym or a large banquet hall which I understand is a requirement for a 5 star resort. The rooms, while clean and comfortable, could use a modern touch to match the high level of service provided by the staff. Additionally, the pool area, though enjoyable, would be even more appealing with updated loungers and a fresh coat of paint. These are my two cents which I hope the management would consider to do as soon as possible in order to maintain this amazing place and their regular guests. Despite these minor facilities-related issues, I wouldn't hesitate to return. The exemplary staff and top-notch service is more than enough to compensate for any facility shortcomings. In fact, I look forward to seeing how the resort evolves in the future, as I believe that with some upgrades, it has the potential to become an even more remarkable tourist attraction. I truly hope the management takes care of it's staff by giving rewards or incentives as I can see they worked really hard to maintain this resort's standards. It was a very relaxing holiday for my family despite us travelling in a big crowd of 3 families. Stayed in one of the chalets. PROS: 1) enjoyed what nature could offer. The plants, tress, beach was such a relaxing, de-stressing sight. 2) service - very good i would say. They would respond immediately on the request of food or beverages. Upon checking in the chalet, was given glasses of welcoming drink. 3) chalet - love the concept of ”kampung” chalet. The whole structure is made of wood, which i felt was quite sturdy and didnt make much of funny noises when walked upon in the living room and hall. 4) swimming pool - as we had stayed in the chalet, there is a private pool next to to it. Water was prescient, with minimal to no insects seen. The common swimming pools on the other hand, they were fabulous. There is the kid's pool and the adult pool, which was kept very clean and my kids enjoyed tremendously playing in it. Cons: 1) being next to nature, you cannot avoid the annoying mosquitoes feeding on you. - best to have apply some mosquito repellent patch especially during the evenings. 2) food at the cafeteria however was quite a big let down in my honest opinion. Food options are not quite to my expectation. The plates and cutleries were dirty with visible stains. 3) the wooden stairs leading up to the chalet needs a major upgrade. It looks like it will give way anytime soon. We were really concerned as in our crowd, my aunty was walking with a walking stick. 4) not many options of food stalls except for a few local Malay restaurants down the road. 5) there are two rooms in a chalet. Unfortunately these rooms are separated and one needs to pass through a door to exit and another door to enter the room. Family with young children would not benefit staying in such design. Overall, i would give this place a 7/10.

GGuest UserLocation is very strategic. Right on Jalan Besar where all the nice cafe is. (Kula Cake, Kuantan Pickers, Tjantek, Kopi & Teh, Akar Kopi, Lena Cafe, Sup Ayam Kampung) to name a few. River Esplanade is just right behind the hotel. Our room is facing the river, upon request. To my suprise for the price, the hotel is very clean. Tv has many channel including sport. A mini fridge & sejadah. I bet the hotel is recently refurbish as it has a nice new paint coating & flooring. And so does the bathroom. They even offer connecting room, which is good if you are travelling in group & to my suprise they have lift. Parking is easy & plenty, but by the counsil. So we paid around RM4.50 daily or RM0.65 per hour. Overall, if you are in Kuantan for Jalan Jalan Cari Makan. I truly recommend this hotel.

The process, from unloading our luggage to checking in at the reception, was smooth and efficient. The porter and reception staff were polite and beaming with smiles.
We stayed in a studio room, as we needed more space for our active child to move around. The room was in tip top condition—spacious, newly renovated with chic design, and maintained at the highest level of cleanliness. I would say, what you see on Trip is exactly what you get!
I want to give special recognition to the Swiss Care team, especially a sweet and polite lady named Sihma (Swiss Care #1), who promptly and efficiently responded to all of our calls. She went the extra mile to ensure all our reasonable requests were met.
The swimming pool attendants were diligent in their duties, ensuring the safety of all swimmers. Syed Lukman is one of them.
The breakfast provided was consistently replenished to accommodate all diners. I especially enjoyed the nasi lemak on the second day—the meat was tender, perfectly spiced, and juicy. Kudos to the chefs and café staff for their excellent skills! I also noticed that a few middle-aged Malaysian aunties were employed as part-time workers in the café during the busy weekend. Despite their age, they worked efficiently and professionally. I think this is a commendable practice, providing job opportunities while boosting the local economy.
The lobby and main facilities were a bit run-down, but I didn’t mind since they are currently undergoing upgrades, which are expected to be completed by next year. I’m excited to return when the renovations are finished!

GGuest UserFirstly, I have to say, The Kasturi is probably my favourite place in Pahang. I first came here in 2018 - and it made such an impression that I couldn't wait to come back. Came back as soon as PKP was lifted (review here somewhere) and a tad disappointed. Husband booked a night's stay for our 18th wedding anniversary and I have to admit the service has improved by leaps and bounds. Check in was warm and professional - villa is clean and hubby had made arrangements for flowers and some refreshments in the room which was so appreciated by yours truly. Had same villa as previous stay - toilet is still wonky. Hand bidet in indoor shower compartment is still non functional and the fish keropok was left untouched this time (learnt my lesson from last time - pls get new supplier - I am sure there are many more keropok makers who can make better keropok sira) This time however, husband ordered food to be sent to the room - FYI, room service is limited to the asian food selection (not advisable to preorder western dishes as these will end up cold by the time it gets sent to the room) Loved the caprese salad and the fried rice. The seafood fried in batter was above average. The white rice and chicken was too sweet for our liking. Breakfast was served 'unlimited ala carte style' The variety was ok - choice of nasi lemak, western and chinese congee. Nasi lemak - much much better than the last time I was there - but had an issue with the sambal sotong, which I informed the staff. Saw that they offered 'DANISH' as part of breakfast - but we only received toast and baguettes - so I'm not sure if I was confused about the danish being pastries? Barista also needs to learn to make proper latte art. However, the F&B staff - Deedi was extremely friendly and warm. He looked like he knew what he was doing despite being his 6th day at Kasturi - thought I would make a special mention about him. Would I come back for a fourth time? Some improvements have to be made about the upkeep of the facilities in the room and definitely better improvements with the F&B - but Kasturi's one life-saving feature is definitely its location....

YYiLongHad a great overall experience. The service provided by the staff was excellent; they were attentive, friendly, and responsive to our needs throughout our stay. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth, with a helpful video shared by the operator that made everything straightforward for those who can follow instructions well. However, it might be challenging for those who prefer not to read detailed instructions.
One of the major highlights was the hotel's location, which is conveniently close to various attraction spots. My unit had a beautiful view facing the sunrise area, adding a special touch to the stay, although I regretfully missed the opportunity to catch the sunrise moment.
The unit itself was clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable environment. However, the small room, which I believe was a storeroom, was only equipped with a fan and became quite hot, making it uncomfortable for anyone to sleep in unless the door was left open.
In summary, my stay was enjoyable thanks to the excellent service, prime location, and cleanliness of the unit. With some improvements to the small room's ventilation, the hotel could offer an even better experience for its guests.

TToshy0719Just had a fantastic stay at Adena Beach Resort in Kuantan! 🌴 The resort offers a perfect blend of relaxation and luxury with its beautiful beachfront location. The rooms were spacious, clean, and offered stunning views of the South China Sea. 🏖️ The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure our stay was comfortable. The highlight was definitely the direct access to the beach, where we enjoyed long walks and serene sunsets. Great for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation if you’re looking to unwind by the sea.

The location of the hotel is quite close to my destination as well as some other business centers in the city. As for the room, even though being small, but it is excellent and surprisingly comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others having a business trip. However, this hotel might not suit those enjoying a family trip due to its limited room space

MMr ShamThe first experience before has made me so excited to come here again. Everything remains tidy and clean around the resort. Friendly front desk, employees who helped us well. However, we are quite disappointed due to the condition of the room, which:
1. black moss in the bathroom that is not cleaned perfectly. The type of door is so difficult to get in and out (need to change another type).
2. The bed provided looks lopsided and seems almost broken. Very uncomfortable to sleep.
3. There is no closed path for the villa section provided. It's a bit difficult because it's raining and with small children.
Please make sure the quality of the room is taken care of because the atmosphere here is very beautiful and peaceful. This comment is for improvement from a family that loves cleanliness and comfort.
