Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites Reviews

The room is big and bed is comfortable but it is very old and there’s even visible water damage on the wall. Toilet bowl kept leaking water inside the bowl and I even spotted a cockroach near the beverage tray of my room which is why I rate it 2 for cleanliness. It’s a pity that the management did not pay attention to maintenance of the hotel rooms as the location of the hotel is very centralised.

Excellent location and great hotel! We will definitely stay there again!” Things I like The location is perfect, close to shops and restaurants. The hotel is very clean and well equipped with everything we needed. The parking and security is excellent . The Host was great and responded quickly and efficiently to any questions or queries we had.

loby has a bad smell but room is ok

The hotel is old and long overdue for a lick of paint. The bathroom towel rack fell, the nighstand controls also fell, the hotel key card stopped working a few times causing me to return to the reception multple times to get a new key card. Got a pretty sad view of the neighbouring building’s wall as well. Despite all this, basic toileteries were provided & it’s in the middle of town. However, there were many other hotels nearby which looked a lot nicer & were cheaper, so the location perk isn’t really outstanding.

Nice place, nice location. Value for money. Always stay here wherever I go to Kuching. Hope they keep the rates and don't increase it.

Good for everybody

The location of the hotel was fantastic. Very near to Plaza Merdeka Shopping Mall and a nice view at Padang Merdeka. Facilities a bit run down but other than that the stay was good.

The hotel is dated and dirty, there are algae on the windows and toilet flushing is broken, but the service is really great and the hotel food is tasty too, it is located in city center and prices reasonably

Overall clean and spacious room, good for short term staying. Walking distance to shopping mall, river front, muzium and others.

Hotel past its prime age but comes with big room. Location also next to museum

will choose this hotel for next travel. good place to stay for travel/business. 👍👍💪💪

The location was great. The room is big. Only if you request for extra towel, you need to pay RM10
