Tskaltubo Epic Hotel & Spa

This is a budget hotel with simple facilities, but it's close to the cave. There is a swimming pool, the restaurant is ok, and it's not expensive.

Very boorish staff, does not admit his mistakes and behaves like in a bazaar, not understanding anything about the service. Breakfast is not possible, some kind of deshman food .. TVs are so ancient in the rooms a hundred pictures slow down on them ... The bed is very uncomfortable. There are a lot of good hotels nearby, where the staff will not pour mud on you. We will not advise anyone not to fall into this hole

Continuing our journey through Imereti, our road lay in Tskhaltubo. The plan is to visit the Prometheus Cave, a natural spring and a winery. In general, Tskaltubo is known for its unique natural springs and sanatoriums. Suddenly, coming out of the stalactite Cave of Prometheus, I saw a large reclining qvevri and the inscription in small letters - Wine Museum! Naturally, at that second all my plans changed and I no longer even walked, but ran towards the museum. I wasn’t even really interested in the fact that after visiting the Cave some bus should return us to our car. At that moment I looked with delight only at this huge lying qvevri and all my thoughts were already inside it. As it turned out later, it turned out to be a not very large hotel complex “Prometheus Epic Hotel & Spa” and the wine museum belonged to them. At the museum, we were met by a nice girl guide, Katie, and for an hour she spun in a wine dance filled with the history of Georgian winemaking, interesting wine events in Georgia, tasting of Qvevri wines, ancient wine accessories and modern technologies. I won’t lie, the museum made an impression on me. I asked our dear Gocha to call the administrator and owner of this complex to personally express my delight, say a few words of love, convey my admiration to the guide Katie and, of course, discuss further cooperation. The owner, named Irakli, personally gave a tour of his complex, in the process giving several orders regarding us and giving us the entire driver and car, he politely said goodbye. We had to refuse the invitation to lunch because we had already deviated from the route. We couldn't leave without buying premium wine, especially since the wine I bought received 9 medals at various world festivals. And Natasha Nataliya Lozovsky treated herself to wine - Usekhelauri, with which I am completely and irrevocably in love. Irakli kindly ordered to give us a discount and gifts and his driver returned us to the car. My friends and I spent 4 unforgettable days at the hotel. Spacious, comfortable rooms, cleanliness, daily cleaning of rooms and change of towels. The hotel staff is very friendly, they speak English, some speak Russian. Any wish or request is fulfilled quickly, they are very friendly. The pool and spa complex are simply a delight: sauna, hammam, illuminated jacuzzi and swimming pool - all this is open at any time. There is a massage room, and the SPA provides bathrobes and large towels. The hotel restaurant is a different matter. If you are coming to lose weight, then this is not the place for you: here you will eat a lot and with great pleasure. We didn’t have time to remember the names of all the dishes, but it’s so delicious that it’s impossible to describe it in words!!!! Low bow to the cook. The hotel has a small but very interesting wine museum and a souvenir shop. Right next to the hotel, the Prometheus Cave is an amazing gift of nature. When you go there, I advise you to leave behind the guide and leisurely enjoy all the beauties of the cave: a 50-minute tour is not enough, it’s worth spending a couple of hours in the cave. If you decide to visit Tskaltubo, Kutaisi, canyons, hot springs - contact the reception, they will call you a transfer for any number of people. And don’t forget to just enjoy the nature around the hotel: climb the mountain and meditate, pet the grazing goats, see the amazing butterflies and grasshoppers living on the slopes of the mountain. This trip was a real pleasure. I hope to return to Prometheus Epic. "Madloba" for everything!
