The best thing about this hotel is its central location, right by Cuihu Park, and downstairs from Huang Gong Dong Street, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and dining. The downside is that the hotel facilities are quite old-fashioned – the elevator, showerhead, and power outlets are all antiques. However, it's generally clean and tidy, and the service is quite good.

Five stars, highly recommended! This is an old, established state guesthouse in Kunming that you absolutely must stay at. Its heritage, views, and service are all top-notch. The location is unbeatable, directly facing Cuihu Park. Open the French windows and you're greeted with lake views and weeping willows. In autumn and winter, you can even spot red-billed gulls. Yunnan University and the Yunnan Military Academy are within walking distance, making it convenient for exploring the old city without much travel. The hotel's design was partly conceived by I.M. Pei, blending new Chinese style with retro Art Deco. The lobby's gilded lotus sculpture, rosewood carvings, and vintage staircase create an incredible ambiance. The gardens are tranquil and elegant, and every photo you take captures the unique, understated elegance of a historic five-star hotel. Service is gentle, understated, and perfectly balanced, never intrusive. Upon check-in, guests receive fresh flowers and welcome fruits, and the room is refreshed daily with Yunnan-style floral arrangements. Turndown service includes peach gum and white fungus soup, along with seagull-shaped cookies – thoughtful details that truly shine. The 24-hour butler service is on-call, and staff members politely greet guests, always professional and sincere. The room comfort exceeded expectations. The bedding is soft and plush, and the soundproofing is excellent. During the dry season, the whole-house humidity control system is a lifesaver, especially for those with allergies. The bathroom features a built-in TV in the bathtub and electric privacy glass. All mini-bar drinks are complimentary, and there's even freshly ground Yunnan small-grain coffee, adding a distinct local touch. Breakfast is served in the lake-view restaurant, offering a rich variety of authentic dishes, including freshly prepared Crossing-the-Bridge Noodles, 'posu bao' (flaky steamed buns), and rose 'naiba Jiu' (a local milky wine). Dining by the lake creates an exceptional atmosphere. The accompanying heated pool is clean and uncrowded, perfect for relaxation. Whether for business or leisure, this hotel is perfectly suited. Its century-old refined quality is irreplaceable. I will definitely choose Cuihu Hotel again on my next visit to Kunming!

The Green Lake Hotel has a long history and a fantastic location, right next to Green Lake Park. There's no shortage of great food and beautiful scenery nearby. The rooms are a bit old, but the beds are very comfortable. We received welcome fruits, snacks, and drinks in the fridge, and they even provided toiletries for the kids. Breakfast hours are also very generous. The service was excellent. I'll definitely choose Green Lake Hotel again next time I'm in Kunming.

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Cuihu Lake and Huangdong Street. The public areas are well-maintained, and the hydrangeas in the lobby are absolutely stunning. The furnishings and murals are very stylish, and the Chinese restaurant's decor is particularly beautiful. The hotel staff are also very friendly. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Kunming! 😊

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic. Right in front of the main entrance is Cuihu Lake, and next to it is a hub of cafes and scenic spots. The service attitude was excellent. The room was a bit dated, but everything else was quite good.

This is an older hotel, but its location is absolutely fantastic! As soon as you step out of the lobby, you can see the beautiful lotus flowers in Cuihu Lake. When I checked in, a staff member brought a set of toiletries and small slippers for my child. I booked the cheapest twin room, and I didn't expect any special perks, but when I entered the room, I found fruit and snacks prepared by the hotel. In the evening, a staff member came to deliver goji berry and tremella soup along with three kinds of fruit. So thoughtful! The room's soundproofing was excellent, making for a very quiet night's sleep.

Great location and a quiet, comfortable environment. However, it was peak summer season, and even though we arrived at 4 PM, our room wasn't ready. We had to wait for almost two hours. While I understand, guests check out at 12 PM, so shouldn't the room be ready by 4 PM? A hotel of this caliber should have contingency plans for the busy season.

Although the booking included butler service, I still had to call the hotel myself and add the butler on WeChat on the day of check-in because I had something to confirm. Overall, the service staff were very cold during my stay. Aside from a male manager in the lobby who actively greeted me, there was no introduction at check-in. I had to ask about the elevator's location and breakfast arrangements myself, and the answers were always curt. Furthermore, the staff in the Western breakfast restaurant and the Chinese dinner restaurant all had icy expressions. Especially at dinner, after only a few sips of soup, a waiter came to take away my spoon. When I stopped them, they showed no apology and walked away with a cold face. Of course, the hotel's location and its luxurious and exquisite decor still make it worth a stay.

Beyond its great location, everything else was pretty average. **Facilities:** I'd read reviews mentioning it was old, and wondered just how old. After checking in, I realized it was indeed quite dated. The bathroom even had a shower-in-tub setup. **Cleanliness:** It was okay. **Ambiance:** It's really close to Cuihu Park. I booked a package deal and paid extra, so it worked out to about 1000 RMB a night. I'd say 900 of that was for the location and service. **Service:** The front desk service was robotic – they'd answer if asked, but wouldn't proactively tell you where breakfast was or where the elevators were. The cleaning staff and the Chinese restaurant staff, however, were very friendly. Also, you can only get a late checkout until 1 PM. I won't be staying here again next time; I don't recommend it.

If you're visiting Kunming, this hotel should be your top choice. Every staff member's attitude is simply outstanding – not only are they polite, but they always greet you with a smile. Plus, kids get a little gift every day! 😃 The location is fantastic. Cuihu Park is right outside, and there are many popular attractions nearby. In the evening, you can also explore Kunming Old Street, which is about 800 meters away, and you'll see lots of young people taking photos along the way 📸. Even though the hotel is a bit older, it doesn't affect its overall cleanliness and hygiene one bit; the cleaning staff does an excellent job. Snacks, fruit, minibar items, and evening desserts are replenished promptly. For breakfast, the Chinese restaurant can be crowded but offers a wide variety, while the Western restaurant is quieter with a great ambiance, though with fewer options. On the first day of check-in, my child saw other kids with a seagull plushie. They had run out, so we had to choose another souvenir. However, on our last day, my child finally found one – it was the very last one they were planning to sell! Luckily, a lady, who I believe was the manager, decided to give it to us. We're very grateful. I rarely leave reviews on Ctrip, but I'm taking the time to give this hotel a five-star rating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Next time I visit Kunming, I'll definitely stay here again. A big shout-out to every staff member at the hotel! Regarding restaurants and souvenir shops near the hotel, here are a few to avoid: (1. Don't go to Cuihu Li Creative Yunnan Cuisine, about 300 meters from the hotel. Their service is terrible. They saw we were tourists and had drinks, then tried to overcharge us. Luckily, I checked the bill. They tried to blame it on a 'system error.' Definitely avoid this place. 2. Don't go to Pan Xiang Ji Flower Cake. There are many other delicious flower cake shops nearby, and this one also has terrible service. They're unhelpful and rude; it's not worth the frustration).

The room was a bit small, but the location is superb, right next to Cuihu Lake. The shower temperature was a bit tricky to adjust, but the breakfast was good. Ms. Liu Xiang and Ms. Yang Lan provided very warm service.

The hotel kindly upgraded our room for free, and we got a lovely lake view. It's an older hotel with a lot of character, but the decor and facilities are well-maintained and don't feel dated. We had a very comfortable stay, and the service was excellent! They even gave us flowers! It was also super convenient to walk to Cuihu Lake for a stroll.

The Grand Park Hotel Kunming is a classic, top-tier hotel right by Cuihu Lake. It's just a 10-15 minute walk to Yunnan University and the Yunnan Military Academy, making its location absolutely perfect. The vintage gilded lobby and the famous spiral staircase are fantastic for photos, exuding the elegant charm of old Kunming. Upon check-in, you receive complimentary fruit, and in the evenings, a thoughtful dessert. The service is gentle and discreet, never intrusive. The rooms are quiet and comfortable, and the breakfast offers a rich variety. The Yunnanese restaurant serves authentic local cuisine. From the comfort of your bed, you can experience the gentle essence of the 'Spring City.' It was a truly wonderful stay for a vacation in Kunming!
