We stayed here for 3 nights as part of a tour group. With the room being a suite, it was a good size. It was nicely decorated, clean, had plenty of hanging space, the air con worked well, and had plentiful nice smelling toiletries (a full-length mirror would have been nice). However, there were some issues. The bin never got emptied for the time we were there. There was no water throughout the hotel on the first morning - we reported it at 5.20am, and it was being worked on. Thankfully, it came back on after about half an hour. On the third day, we returned from our day trip to no electricity in the room. It was quickly fixed after we reported it but when we returned to our room after dinner, there was no electricity again. It was again quickly fixed, but after returning from breakfast on the morning of departure, once again, no electricity! The corridor to our room could also have done with a good hoover as there were little bits of rubbish all over the carpet, especially bad at the start of the corridor. Also, there was a very grotty bed and two grotty mattresses sat in the corridor near our room, which wasn't great to look at and they remained there for the duration of our stay. There was a good choice of food at both breakfast and dinner, and everything tasted good. We also had lunch here one of the days we stayed, and it was delicious. The set-up of the bar and restaurant is slightly strange in that there is no dedicated sitting area at the bar. This means people having drinks sit at the tables used for the restaurant. This limited the dining space, often resulting in people standing waiting on tables to become available or, as happened to us, sharing tables with other people. Service for drinks is also very slow. There seemed to be a reluctance by the restaurant staff to take drinks orders at the table, so most people ended up ordering at the bar. But with a maximum of two bar staff on, and the bill to sign for drinks being entirely hand written, the wait for drinks usually took time. I also didn't like all the cats wandering around the restaurant. There are a lot of them. They jump up on the tables, the chairs, and they sit and look for food, which, unfortunately, some people oblige in. As a result, there are little piles of half eaten food on the restaurant floor. I even had one guest dump a pile of food at my feet for the cat that was next to our table - disgusting!
