We called the hotel before booking the hotel to make sure parking was available but the receptionist who answered was very rude and transferred our call to someone else without forwarding our enquiry. The hotel was not clean and it didn't seem like they had any staff who goes around and check every now and then. No toilet or shower in the room. The handwash basin in the room was also not working so we had to go wash in the public areas where the water was freezing. The price of the hotel upon booking was also too high and did not meet our expectations. The only good points were extra duvets and futon and the location was in the center close to shops.

L'hôtel est situé juste à côté du terminus des lignes de bus pour nous amener à kusatsu. Très bon accueil. Nous avons dormi sur les lits futons que nous avons préparés nous mêmes. 
Salle de bain et toilettes partagées. 
Pas d'eau chaude au niveau des robinets mais les onsen les remplacent 😋

The hotel is located right next to the bus terminal to take us to Kusatsu. Very nice home. We slept on futon beds that we prepared ourselves.
Shared bathroom and toilet.
No hot water at the taps but the onsen replaces them 😋

A very old hot spring hotel is also the cheapest one in the area. At this price, it was in line with expectations. It arrived a half hour earlier, and it also smoothly let CI. Just like a small Japanese-style hostel, the clerks do not speak English, and they communicate with me in Japanese with no more than 10 sentences. The room is older, but there is everything there, and the bathrobes are beautiful. The hot springs are all public, there is no private soup, and the toilets are also public. There is a squat pit and a toilet. The toilets have to line up that morning. The sense of form at dinner is still in line with the routine of Japanese hot spring hotels. The dishes are ok, and the breakfast is a bit disappointing. It is all carbon water, and the hot spring eggs are not. The geographical location is an extra point. This town has many mountain roads. His home is a 1-minute walk from the bus station, and it will not be very tired to go up and down, let alone ask the hotel to drive to pick it up.
According to these circumstances, it is okay to give 4 points, but I don't recommend everyone to live, because this house has hidden charges, and in winter it will charge 500 warm house fee and 150 hot spring water tax. There is no mention on the booking page. If the hot spring tax is not unfamiliar to people who frequent Japan, what is called the warm house fee is very strange. Communicate with the store. They showed me their official website, which means that there is a statement. I said that I didn't set it on the official website. I have no way of knowing it. I prefer to believe that the owner ’s idea is pure and not intentional, but doing business is very frustrating. No wonder it takes up such a good position and does not renovate. Similar hotels that have been renovated next door can sell twice as much. Of course, the result of the matter itself is still good. This hidden charge problem was later subsidized to me by Ctrip. I praised Ctrip customer service and dealt with it in a particularly efficient and professional manner. The reasons for not recommending are: 1. Difficulty in communication. I went to the next few places and visited. Although the English is not fluent, it is obviously much better. There are local characteristics (I changed to the hotel the next day); 3. In addition to the so-called warm house fee, his family's original price advantage of only three or fifty rmb will no longer exist, and you can choose the same price slightly more expensive, Choose the few hotels, the single room price is also in this grade, but the conditions are much better, anyway, this one also experiences impenetrable Japanese feeling, if you really want to experience Japanese feeling, you can choose a hotel above 1500rmb.

The location is convenient, close to Yubatake and a convenience store nearby. The inn is old, but the rooms were clean. There was also a kotatsu. Even though it was 20 degrees in Tokyo, it was snowing and cold, so that was a relief. It's less than 8,000 yen including two meals, so I think it's a reasonable price in Kusatsu. The food tasted like home-cooked food, but it was delicious and the dinner was quite voluminous. A private room was prepared separately from the guest room, and we were called when preparations were complete, and no one from the hostel entered the room during the meal. There was a private bath with the Watanoyu source on the first floor, and a private bath for men and women with the Yubatake source in the basement. It was my first time to enter the Wata no Yu hot spring source, but the water was soft and I took my time. Nikawa-no-Yu, Otaki-no-Yu, Jizo-Yu, and Shirahata-no-Yu are all within walking distance, so you can visit them. I went to Kusatsu for the first time in about 3 years, and new accommodations had been built.
