We loved the entrance to our room. Modern yet traditional wooden framing. Felt like entering a high end Japanese restaurant. The check in was very welcoming. Everything was explained well an the front desk could speak good English. There were many shops in the hotel and the sister hotel beside it. We could use both onsens. The onsen was like a water park, so many different pools to check out. One night was definitely not enough here. Dinner was a great show! So much great quality food. You would never be able to try everything. The seafood was so fresh. Breakfast was super good as well. Highly recommended!

We stayed on a tour of East Hokkaido. This old hotel is located beside the pleasure boat stop on the lakeside. It's the best location in the hot spring town and it doesn't take long to go to Ainu Kotan. You can see Lake Akan from the lobby, so you can expect a view from the room. The room is a Japanese-style room with a lake view, and it feels a little tired, but I didn't particularly care because it was used on a cheap tour. I had a meal at the banquet hall, but I was surprised to see a cup of big hairy crab. Other dishes were delicious. Breakfast was buffet, but this was normal. It was just the timing of winter gorgeous, so I was able to see fireworks launched from the lake. The theater Ikoro in Ainu Kotan was also close.

I booked a room at this hotel through Bookings.com, where rooms at their so-called 'Crystal Wing' were the only ones offered. The room cost me 28,000 yen a night but I decided to fork out the exorbitant price for a nice resort by the lake. However, as it turned out, the 'Crystal Wing' is actually an annex. It is originally a different hotel called the Crystal Hotel, which was acquired by the Hotel New Akan next door. The lobby and restaurant of this 'annex' were closed, so we assumed that only the rooms were used to accommodate guests. I don't have problems with annex rooms in other hotels, but for this one, I do. The Crystal Wing is so shabby and run down. The hallways are musty and smelly. It has its own small elevator with buttons so dirty that you don't want to put your finger on. The room looks like it does in the website picture. It looks clean. What is unseen though is the stale musty air! It was so awful to be breathing in the room. The windows cannot be opened, so you are forced to inhale the stale air from the old central AC. It’s really ironic because the fresh mountain air is just outside. What's worse is that the room smells of cigarettes even when it is supposed to be a non-smoking room. Also, the door does not close properly and has to be slammed to shut. The bed is reasonably comfortable, but the sheets do not have the scent of freshly laundered linen, and neither were the yukatas. This gives the impression that the room has not been used in a long time. The yukatas are so worn out, I did not feel like putting them on. The toilet, though very clean, faintly smelt of the sewer. We never saw any other guests on the same floor as us in the annex building. When we looked at the building from the outside during an evening stroll, our room was the only one lighted up. Coupled with the dark, uninhabited lower floors and the sealed-off lobby of this 'Crystal Wing', we felt like we booked a room at a ghost hotel! I complained to the hotel, but all they offered was a different room in the SAME annex building. I wrote a negative review on Bookings thinking it would help other unknowing guests. However, only positive reviews are being featured on the site. Bookings is still selling these Crystal Wing rooms on their website! (No rooms in the main building are available, so this misleads guests to think that the Crystal rooms are NOT the shabbier, older rooms in a different building) Selling these old run-down rooms in the dilapidated building next door for exorbitant prices is simply unscrupulous. Avoid these Crystal rooms at all costs if you want a good night sleep and no creepy, eerie feelings as a holiday memory!

Service is average as they only speaks Japanese. It's a shared toilet facility which is not so convenience. Have to go all the way down to 1st floor to bath in the onsen room with the mass public make me a little bit embarrasing. All facilities was quite run-down with poor maintenance. Only good things is the breakfast which is quite localised and yummy.

We spent two nights at this property earlier this month, as Akanko (i.e. Lake Akan) has a variety of things to do and we wanted to make the most of our time there. The Lake Akan area of Eastern Hokkaido is blessed with some of the country's most incredible natural environments including old-growth forests, a pristine lake, scenic mountains, mud volcanoes and the Marimo, a unique and unusual freshwater green algae that is shaped like a green ball and which can grow to about the size of a volleyball. There is also a cultural element to the area, as Ainu Kotan is one of Hokkaido's largest Ainu (indigenous people) settlements with roughly 130 individuals calling the place home. Aino Kotan has a main ***** that has a variety of stores selling Ainu handicrafts as well as restaurants serving traditional Ainu cuisine. There is also a museum and a performing arts center, giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy a variety of Ainu performing arts. You can also reserve a private guided tour with an Ainu descendent who you will follow through a pretty forest while he/she explains how the Ainu used to live. Akan Tsuruga Besso Hinanoza (that's its full name) is a luxury ryokan established in 2004 by the Tsuruga Group, and is just steps away from the lake shore. It's ideally situated - almost everything we wanted to experience (Ainu Village, Lake cruise, hiking, shopping) is within short walking distance from the ryokan. That said, the entire town is clustered in a small area along the South shore of the lake, so wherever you stay, it's going to be convenient. The property is in a nondescript 7-story building, although it's in pretty good shape from the outside (which is not the case with many older ryokans of this type.) Inside, in the common areas there are a variety of wood carvings that are on display; the indigenous Ainu are renowned for their woodworking skills, the displays are a wonderful tribute to the local Ainu artisans. Of the 25 rooms at Hinanoza, 4 of them are Tokubetsu-****su (”Special”) units that are 110m² in size, and are denoted as Ama no Za Suite. Our Tokubetsu-****su was on the 6th floor (the highest floor among guest rooms), and was named the Hina no Za (#601.) As is the case with most suites at top ryokans, it featured a living room, a tatami room and a separate bedroom. The decor and furnishings were Japanese-contemporary and of high quality - the hard product was fantastic overall. The Onsen bath is located on the deck, and is free-flowing and not recirculated... perfect. As was the case with Sanyoan, our Special room had two toilets in different areas of the Suite, although - curiously - featured only one sink. Mrs. KI-NRT would take that trade-off any day of the week. Hinanoza does have the obligatory Daiyokujo (gender-segregated communal Onsen bath), but given that every room here has en-suite Onsen, the vast majority of guests will never leave the comforts of their room. It was empty every time we took a peak in the Daiyokujo. All

We used the Japanese style room on the lake side. The room was not new, but there was a wide cleanliness. Above all, the view of Lake Akan from the room is great!!! This alone is worth coming to Akan. The hot spring bathtub is two hot and warm types, but it was a luxurious and slick hot spring with a source hanging. Both meals and free drinks in the morning and evening buffet. The variety of dishes is also good, and fresh vegetables and sweets are delicious in the tempura of the spring mountain vegetables, etc.♡ The correspondence of the hotel 々 is also sincere, and the hand is shaken until the hotel is not seen at the time of return It was really 2 nights 3 days of great satisfaction. I would like to stay here when I come to Akan again.

This is a Kyoritsu Resort hotel along the Akan River. From the beautiful lobby lounge, you can see the fresh green mountain stream of the Akan River, and you have already gotten excited while drinking coffee in the lounge. There were chairs where you could see the greenery from each corridor, and when I sat and looked at it, there was a deer. The room was on the mountain (forest) side, but this side is in front of the bicycle parking lot. It was a modern and nice room in twin bed room, living area. All rooms have a bath (view bath) with a view of the outside, but I didn't use it because the parking lot was in front of me. I used the relationship. In front of the large communal bath is a mountain stream of the Akan River, and deer have been eating grass all the time near the open-air bath. It was the first time I encountered a deer in the open-air bath. There are bear-avoiding bells down from the top in two open-air baths, which may also be a deer shelter. There are 3 private baths, and you can use them at any time if they are available (only enter, no shampoo, etc.). Supper was served at a large counter seat along the mountain stream. On YouTube, it was introduced as a seat where you can see deer, but deer did not appear. As for the content of the dinner, there were many items to choose from, it was unique, and the breakfast was good. The hotel had a concept, and the hot springs, meals, rooms and hospitality were satisfactory. It is a hotel that I want to visit again in different seasons.

The facilities are lodge-style and can't be compared to hotels, but it is the best to enjoy a solo trip slowly.
The meal is sufficiently satisfactory and the hot spring is hot, but it is good.
Isn't it best to be familiar with nature such as bird watching, this time the weather
I couldn't do it badly, but I can enjoy the starry sky of the sky because there is no light.

Yamahana Onsen Refre is a hotel located in Yamahana, Kushiro City, Hokkaido. On June 28, 2022, I walked to Sarubo Observatory and Sarurun Observatory. From there, I drove to Yamahana Onsen Refre. However, the road that the navigation system showed me was a terrible road (sweat;) If you go a little further, you will come to a beautiful road, so I recommend that (wry smile). Nevertheless, I arrived safely. The parking lot is very spacious. The exterior looks like this. There seem to be 16 rooms. The inside of the building looks like this. First, I checked in at the front desk. On this day, I was in room 211 on the second floor. I was hoping for an ”old lady who couldn't open the door,” but an old lady who entered smoothly (lol). Unfortunately, it was a smoking room, so it smelled a bit like cigarettes. It was a 10-tatami Japanese-style room, and it was surprisingly spacious. There was a TV and a refrigerator. A water heater and a cold water pot. The view from the window looked like this. The Kushiro City Zoo is right next door, and you can see the Ferris wheel. I'm glad there's an electric fan. There's a bathtub, but I probably won't use it because I'll be going to the large public bath. The toilet has a heated seat. Razors are sold for 120 yen. I went to the hot spring right away. Yamahana Onsen is said to be the first hot spring to spring up in Kushiro. The spring water was a little yellowish. It's an alkaline sodium spring. It's said to have the same salt concentration as seawater. It's a shame that there's no wifi. I didn't have a Rakuten mobile line, so I connected with au's 1Mbps. It was 17,970 yen for two people with one night stay and two meals. It was 6:05, so I had dinner at the restaurant on the first floor. This time, we had a medicinal food menu, and the menu looked like this. I thought it was chawanmushi, but it was tofu. The tempura arrived. Akan pork in a sweet and spicy sauce. Steamed vegetables. It seems that wild vegetables are in season in Hokkaido at this time of year. I also ordered draft beer. The cold sake was ”Fukuji”. This sake is from the only sake brewery in Kushiro, and has a dry sake meter value of +5. The rice is polished to 60%. Rice and miso soup. Jerusalem artichoke tea. Pudding. The amount of * is amazing. It's very mellow and tastes like chestnut. Red kidney beans. The breakfast venue is the same as for dinner. The menu looks something like this. We drove on. GGuest UserFrom the guest room, I could see an impressive view such as the fishing boat Huang 々 fishing lights anchored in front of Kushiro Port. 6 night of a trip around Hokkaido with my wife, the purpose was to visit ”Furnace Bata” and ”Tsubuya”, the birthplace of domestic furnace baking in Suehiro Town, but ”Furnace Bata” was last year 8 Moon. It was completely burned down by the fire Currently, it is being rebuilt using crowdfunding. As a person who cooperated a little, I also showed the site. It is a specialty store representing Kushiro, so please 1 I would like you to revive it as soon as possible. The crushed shells of ”Tsubuya” are still exquisite. My wife was delighted to have fun with the deliciousness of the dark soup ramen. The staff 々 responded well to early reservations last fall, and applied the Hokkaido discount again. We would like to thank you for your polite guidance on this 2 store and alternative furnace baking store on the day. We were informed in advance that there were many group guests for breakfast, so we were able to eat it smoothly. It was a good stay.
GGuest UserThe dormy inn is a bit small and older than the other dormy inns i have stayed before. However, we were surprised to learn that this dormy inn offers iced coffee, oolong teas, and pops during 3-9pm, where normal dormy inns would just offer regular hot coffee and americanos. We were so lucky to be able to watch and experience the sunset on the top floor resting area (where the onsen is also location on). The sunset was stunning (tho the ANA Crowne Plaza blocked some of the view) and it was one of the most beautiful sunset i've ever experienced.
GGuest UserVery close to the Lulu City Railway Station, also close to the Helu Market, but a little far from the Binwu Bridge and Lulu is a lively area. The room is small but at least clean and soundproof is not bad. The breakfast options are relatively small but there are basic choices. The large bath is located in the basement and there are self-service washing machines and dryers; You have to go to the counter to buy laundry detergent. If you want to spend one night, it is already full enough.
CchiikunpapaIt's not in front of the station than I expected, but it's located across the bus terminal from the station, and the location is good, with free breakfast, so I think the cospa is good. (Service / support) It is not 24h support such as the front desk, but it is friendly and reasonable. (Room) It's still small, but if you don't have business use or luggage, you don't have to say anything. If you divide it, there is no complaint. The toothbrush is provided and the necessary ones are reasonable because they are brought from the front desk. Pillows can also be added, so it is highly evaluated as a person who likes high-end pillows (you can find your preferences). However, there are quite a few steps in the bathroom and toilet, so it is difficult for people with disabilities and the elderly. Please be careful! There is no WIFI problem. What I was interested in was that I would like you to put about the water in the humidifier in the room. (Equipment) The large communal bath is not separated by men and women, but is it replaced by a system, and the usage time for men and women is limited by time. Also, is it extremely small and the bathtub limited to 3 people? Chlorine disinfection is difficult. The smell remains until about the next morning. Coin laundry, detergent available, and dryer are free. (Breakfast) Well, it's within the price, but it's pretty good for free. China virus support is also properly done. However, there is a tableware return table at the entrance, and my eyes are bad, so I took it from there by mistake at first. I want you to make the display stand out so that you can see that it is a return table. (Others) The sidewalk to the station is very dark. There is no lighting. (Even though it is a bus terminal) Moreover, there are holes and people with visual impairment and bird eyes are at a dangerous level. This is a problem with the city government in Kushiro City, but please be careful when using the railway at night or early in the morning.
GGuest UserI stayed to travel to Kushiro for two days and one night from my stay in Sapporo. When I left the station and looked to the left side, there was a large display at the top of the hotel, and I immediately knew the location. The hotel was clean and the room had everything I needed. He lent me a bicycle at the hotel, so I was able to easily go to Starbucks, the easternmost part of Japan, a few kilometers away. In addition, the hotel staff was very friendly and taught me the recommended izakaya in Kushiro. The sun manma I ate at the izakaya was delicious. The free breakfast was delicious and I wanted to use this hotel when I stayed in Kushiro.
GGuest UserLocated in front of the Kushiro River, it was a convenient location with many restaurants around, 5 minutes walk from Kushiro Fisherman's Wharf Moo where the connecting bus to the airport stops. Because it was a business hotel, check-in in the evening was crowded with salaried men, but check-in in the morning was relatively smooth. There were many breakfast buffets and local ingredients, and the view from the window was wonderful. The open-air bath in the large communal bath was the best, coupled with the cold winter. The sauna was large, but I feel a little low temperature. The room was just the size of the room, and the air purifier was always available and comfortable, but I felt that the electric load on the hotel side seemed to be large because the electric control by the card key was not possible. It is located in front of the Kushiro River, a 5-minute walk from Kushiro Fisherman's Wharf Moo, where the shuttle bus to the airport stops, and there are many restaurants nearby. Since it is a business hotel, check-in in the evening was crowded with office workers, but check-in in the morning was relatively smooth. The breakfast buffet had a lot of local ingredients, and the view from the window was wonderful. The open-air bath in the large public bath was the best, combined with the coldness of winter. The sauna was large, but I felt that the temperature was a little low. The size of the room was just right, and the air purifier was always available, so it was comfortable.
GGuest UserWe stopped here for one night between Lake Akan and Sapporo - we had a car and wanted to see the red crane sanctuary. The hotel picture is deceiving. It is not, or is no longer, a glamorous hotel. This average hotel is ”on the wrong side” of the river and the town of Kushiro is sad and despairing. Two out of three establishments were closed and/or boarded up and the town was shabby and down at heel. We heard 2 of its 3 big industries (coal and paper) are under pressure with only fishing bringing in the revenue. In short, it is not worth stopping in Kushiro even for one night. In hindsight we would have got up early and driven through to Sapporo (no other town hit us as a stopover as we travelled through the next day) and as it happens the best crane reserve (Tancho), in our view for this time of the year is en route to the expressway anyway. We were in Kushiro on a Sunday and there was almost nowhere to eat for dinner - the hotel restaurant was not open and the recommendations given by the hotel were not open either and were on the other side of the river. We ended up walking to the other side of the river to the ANA Crowne Plaza for a ”coffee shop” dinner = we felt lucky to find anything open - Lawsons was looking like our dinner diner! We could find literally nothing open for lunch other than a Tullys Coffeeshop hidden down a deserted ally. The choices were very limited. I had what turned out to a honey pizza - not what I had in mind ordering a pizza - the photo did not indicate this surprise either.
GGuest UserI booked from an old business hotel, Agoda, smoking room selection is possible, near the station in front of the bus center, and the large communal bath has also been restored to 2023.10. The large communal bath is not large, but it was better to have it, and it was clean and healed by boiling water. You can use laundry and detergent freely, and you can use the dryer for 100 yen for 30 minutes. The room was cold and hot without heating, so he lent me a blanket. There is a vending machine including train range pot ice machine alcohol. I didn't use it, but there seems to be a cartoon corner, free coffee and 22:00 〜 24:00 Ochazuke service. I stayed for a long time, but if I only exchanged towels without cleaning, it was mineral water 1 This service was. It was old but the staff were all nice.
CCompanion745530City hotel near Kushiro Station. Although it is compact, there is also a breakfast area. There is also a hotel parking lot. It is about a 5-minute walk to the downtown area, and the dinner options are very wide. There is also a coin laundry and convenient.
Eeve3212It is a reasonable hotel in downtown Kushiro. I think it is a good hotel considering the price, location and breakfast free. As a point of care, there is no refrigerator and air conditioning in the room, only the fan, and wi-fi is weak. I think the desk work is severe because the desk is small. It is cheap and recommended if you use it only for sleeping. Kushiro is even in summer I didn't sleep at night because I only went up to about 25 degrees during the day.
