Great hotel but very little English spoken by the staff. Location is convenient for fast food and Fisherman’s Wharf and farmers market.
A word of advice. Choose a larger room. I was there for several days and appreciated the extra room. I saw some of their standard room and they sure looked a bit small. Kuchiro is a compact city and easy to walk around on foot. This is a nice hotel. Restaurant is good, but breakfast buffet has very small potions to take. They are also very strict on their closing time. They expect you out when the restaurant is set to close.
All in all I think the best choice in Kuchiro.

Great hotel and great location. The only hotel to go at Kushiro in my opinion.

The staff is very helpful, the location is great and also the room is very nice with a good view of Kushiro.

The hotel is a bit far from JR Kushiro Station, especially dragging a large suitcase on the snow is not fast and takes 25 minutes (taking a taxi is too expensive...). But the location is good. In the ocean view room, you can watch the sunset by opening the curtains. Opposite the building downstairs is the Kushiro Museum of Art, Hokkaido. On the other side of the downstairs is a market selling groceries, snacks and seafood.
