Rann Utsav, Tent City Review (18-20 Feb 2024) Our group of four spent two nights in Deluxe AC Swiss Tents at Rann Utsav, and here's our brief review: *Transportation:* Our pickup from Bhuj Railway Station was smooth, but the condition of the AC buses used for transportation to the camp and subsequent sightseeing was disappointing. Given the premium package cost, we expected better-maintained, clean, and safe vehicles. The buses were in such poor condition that drivers had to switch off the AC to power the bus on slight inclines. *Accommodation:* Our Deluxe AC Swiss Tents were clean, with fresh linen and towels. The housekeeping staff deserves praise. However, mosquitoes inside the tents were a nuisance. *Food:* The vegetarian meals included in the package were varied, hygienic, and tasty. *Management:* Junior staff members were hardworking, pleasant, and nice to deal with. Management level seemed unorganised and their attitude was lackadaisical. Overall, while our stay at Rann Utsav had its highs and lows, we appreciated the efforts of the junior staff and the tasty food. However, the management needs to address the transportation and managerial staffing issues to provide a more seamless experience for guests.

Very cold not enough facilities. Compared to money the tents are not clean. They shouldn't have A/C option when the temperature goes below 3 degrees. Making money charging extra for A/C tent 10000 extra per tent is rip off to the customer. Blankets are very dirty too. In the chilly weather no bonfire facilities. Asked extra money for that too.

We went with high expectations. Our reservation was one of the Premium tent. We had two tents reserved. We were kept busy the first evening and at night when we went to our tent we smelled some bad odor. I thought it was my imagination. As night progressed the smell got intense. I was almost in the verge of throwing up. Since we were exhausted for the day we went to bed. My husband and I tried to sleep but the smell got very intense and I started getting a headache. We managed to cover ourselves through the night.First thing in the morning I informed our Cluster Contact and he came & changed the Fynal tablets and sprayed the bathroom and room. Of course that didn’t last long. The smell got worse and I asked to change our tent. I was told that they were booked and the matter will be taken care. I saw the gutter truck in the back of our tent trying to clean the blockage in the sewer. Later I was told that there was a blockage in the sewer pipe & they cleared it. However, the smell did not go away and maybe slightly diminished. All this happened and not once did the manager stop by to see the situation or hear us out!! No apology from management. No compensation was offered. We paid a premium price to stay at here and were very disappointed with how it turned out!! Before leaving I left a message for the manager to call me but no one did. I called and reached out to the Manager and it seems he had no idea about all this!!! Imagine that! With that said I do want to thank the dinning room crew for an excellent service provided. The food was great and the crew always obliged to our and others requests. I wish I had only positive things to say but unfortunately I don’t.

The place looks better in images and marketing websites. Not at all worth the cost. Tourism can do much better by developing the surrounding areas. Rann utsav basically gives us a feeling of big fat Indian wedding where the focus is just on the food.

This place celebrates the Kutch region in a fantastic manner. The tents are comfortable. The staff very cordial and helpful. The food, stalls, cultural activities, other activities, decor, all made us feel like we are all part of a family attending a big festival together. Mr Akhil who anchors the cultural program makes everyone involved in the activities. To enjoy all activities fully one should stay for a minimum of 2 nights here. Enjoyed our stay, definitely recommend it to our friends.

Rann Utsav at Tent City has the offerings for a perfect family holiday. The stay options are wonderful. We stayed in the Premium Tents. All category of tents have individual clusters which are allotted certain dining halls. It's a seamlessly managed setup, right from the Reception at Bhuj Airport/Station till checkout, inclusive of the transfers, sightseeing, all meals and entertainment. The Entertainment is another note-worthy point in Tent City. Be it the evening cultural programmes or Adventure activities the whole day, there is not a moment to get bored. One issue we encountered during our stay was about the Full Moon Night Excursion. We had booked our stay on the last day of Full moon, having paid a premium amount for the same. When we checked in, we were told that there would be no night-time full moon excursion that day. It was disappointing as well as being felt cheated upon. Only once we demanded answers, a full moon excursion was arranged for us ***** with a few others that night. We shouldn't have required to demand for something that is already a part of the package. Overall, it is a very impressive, well-managed and entertaining holiday.

Very bad food. Person making roti was really rude. Difficulty in wifi connection. One of the lady host never came back to help inspite to come back to help. Rudra and Shahil were great in helping us. The price we paid for premium tent not worth.
