This was my third visit to Kyoto, but first time staying in the Dusit Thani. It was a fantastic property with beautiful interior design, service, and location. The breakfasts offered a nice variety of flavors with good portions, and the bar had some very interesting cocktails. Would highly recommend the hotel.

Amazing stay! Super friendly staff, Tippy was especially helpful. Very ethnically diverse staff with good English. Breakfast was superb. Half buffet style, beautifully served unlimited main courses with lots of varieties to choose from. The bar has an amazing ambient. Everything is clean and tidy, modern and stylish. Amazing bathtub and shower design. Would 100% stay there again!!

I stayed in several hotels during the 2024 Kyoto Cherry Blossom Season. This was my first time staying at Dusit Thani. Now I don't like staying in old five-star hotels such as Okura, so I booked some new hotels. This one is very new and the decoration has just passed. The service is very thoughtful. It is very convenient to sit in the lobby and wait for them to call a taxi. There is a turndown service. There is a geisha performance in the cafe on the first floor of the hotel every Saturday and some Thai performances on other days. There is a very good swimming pool. Remember to bring a swimsuit when you stay at the hotel. There is also a spa. The restaurant has a buffet and teppanyaki, as well as a bar. The basic room I booked has no view. The room is regular and spacious, and the decoration and linens are of five-star standard, quiet and comfortable. The location is not convenient for public transportation. Very good ~ I originally booked 4 nights, but then added another night. It's very close to Kyoto Station. The bus takes two stops and gets off at the front entrance of the hotel. It's very cheap to take a taxi for about 1,000. It costs 1200-1500 to take a taxi to Takashimaya. If you take the bus, you need to walk ten minutes to a bus stop and sit for ten minutes. The room is clean, large in size, and the bed is large and comfortable. The only thing I may be dissatisfied with is that the toiletries are not individually packaged. The location is very bad. It is not convenient to go anywhere by subway, bus, or to eat. You have to walk for more than 15 minutes. You can just stay in the hotel or take a taxi. This is my third visit. Dusit Thani Kyoto always seems to be busy. During check-in, the child was running around and going crazy in the lobby.
