For those who love the ancient architecture will love to stay here. It is giving the city unforgettable memories. The environment also so quiet and giving peace to the couple traveller like us. You can enjoy the Japanese old lifestyle.

The room is clean, tidy and very comfortable. It's only one stop away from Kyoto Station! Although there is no bathroom in the room, the overall atmosphere is still very good!

Please note that this guesthouse only accepts cash! And all services are self-service, which minimizes the cost! It is as simple as possible. Because there is not enough cash, the front desk called the police without communicating with the customer! (Maybe because they don’t understand English) This is my first and most amazing accommodation experience ever... Please mark it clearly on Ctrip: If you don’t pay online, choose to pay in the store. This guesthouse only accepts cash! The worst travel experience! (You are asked to return the key by yourself, check in & check out, and you must wear slippers when going upstairs) How to solve it in the end: By calling the real owner of the small hotel, the owner remotely guides the front desk, open the official website of the guesthouse again, and book another room with a credit card to cover the cash difference. This is the plan I told the front desk at the beginning. Maybe he didn’t understand English at all... The funniest thing is that he kept smiling and calm, and called the police directly by checking the passport information... He also said "calm down" in his mouth. How can he be so ****... 400+ Please stay in other areas! After so many trips, this is the most dramatic experience! I wasted a whole morning in vain

I often use this hotel when I'm working in Kyoto. It's good value for money and is enough if you just need to sleep. It's also convenient that there's a hot water tub. Thank you as always.

It was a Japanese-style room, so it had a nice feel. I recommend it to those who want to experience tatami and kotatsu. However, there was something on the kotatsu cloth and hair stuck to it, so the cleanliness was a bit poor. And I think it was difficult because it was unmanned check-in and check-out.

Even the people who are considerate of each other in a quiet space were cleaning very neatly!! Kyoto Station also takes about 15 minutes on foot. I went without difficulty🤸‍♀️

Great value for money! Check in and check out are basically self-help, all rely on self-consciousness. The room is Japanese style, it should be regarded as a century-old store. Maybe most of the people living here are backpackers, so there is no problem of carrying suitcases up to the second floor, but I didn't expect that we have 3 large suitcases this time, and we can't even go up the stairs, so we can only store them at the door.

I think I might agree that someone cooked the review process to get this rating. It's a self check in hotel. No one is there to assist if you arrived late. No one responds to my email. Wifi is not working, the place is not accessible to public transport and a bit hard to find. We didn't finish our stay because there is just some really weird vibes about the place and it seems *******. If you are a tourist who's planning to stay here, you might want to go to Fushimi Inari shrine first and buy a protection omamori because you might need it there.
