Amazing hotel! Very clean and cozy! Nice design, good price, super clean bathroom with a bathtub! Friendly stuff. A bit far from subway. I am very pleased. If I go back Kyoto, I will be happy to stay at this hotel again. Thank you!

Quiet environment, slightly large room for Japan, easy to get around

We booked luxury room, but the staff only provided standard room. Also, location is quite inconvenient and it took at least 15mins to walk from station. We have paid in advance for hotel tax in trip.com, but the staff kept asking the evidence from us which does not show the friendly and welcoming. It is disappointing booking.

During my recent stay at this unique Kyoto hotel, I was impressed by several aspects. The staff, predominantly international, were comfortable communicating in English, which made my stay much more convenient. While the location is slightly north of central Kyoto, requiring some extra travel time to reach the main tourist areas, I found this to be a blessing in disguise. The hotel's proximity to the serene Kyoto Imperial Palace Gardens (Kyoto Gyoen) offers guests a peaceful retreat from the city's bustle. The quiet neighborhood perfectly captures the traditional atmosphere of Kyoto. One particularly interesting aspect is the hotel's ninja theme. For enthusiasts of Japanese ninja culture, this adds an exciting and unique dimension to the stay. The themed elements throughout the property create an engaging experience that sets it apart from standard hotels.

The bus stop and subway station are a bit far away, but it is a good location for walking. It is quiet and clean, and the bedding is comfortable, so I am satisfied.

Located in a quiet residential area near the Kyoto Imperial Palace. The hotel is quiet and clean. There is a free space on the first floor and seats outside where you can relax. There is a microwave, plates, etc., and you can take them to your room. The front desk staff are also wearing ninja uniforms lol. It is about a 7-minute walk from Marutamachi Station on the subway and about an 8-minute walk from Kyoto Station. It is about an 8-minute walk from the Horikawa-dori Shimochojamachi city bus stop. There are many city buses to Kyoto Station, Kitano Tenmangu Shrine, Nijo Castle, etc., and there is a convenience store, Family Mart, about a 5-minute walk away.

The location was good and the hotel was beautiful. I always stay at this hotel when I go to Kyoto.

It’s a amazing hotel with good location and friendly people. The hotel offers no frills but its adequately comfortable. The down below common area is very nice . The rooms are fully functional along with nice small bathroom. We took the three beds and it was just nice for family of 3 (2 adult + 1 kid)
