La habitación no estaba mal, un poco justa en cuanto a espacio, pero para lo que es Japón, aceptable. La cama cómoda. Lo que no nos gustó es que llegamos por la mañana sobre las 10, queríamos dejar las maletas para ir a visitar algo de la ciudad, y no había nadie en recepción, ni ningún timbre para llamar, y nos tuvimos que ir a la estación de Kyoto a dejar en una taquilla nuestro equipaje, a las horas, volver a buscarlas, e ir de nuevo al hotel para hacer la entrada.

While it’s a do it yourself hotel, it’s really not bad at all. You get to do your laundry for free and there is a dining area that offers free coffee and tea. We got lucky with the staff that helped us out when requesting our Yamato transport and he stayed and helped us till the transport was completed.

It a bad place to stay the staff was extremely accommodating and very friendly. The only flaw I could find was the carpet had some stains, but over all a pretty clean place.

It was super easy to leave baggage at their guest center because it was just a 5min walk from Kyoto Station. They even deliver it to your room! They’ll also hold your bags after checkout it not that long—for me it was only for an extra hour after checkout. They can’t deliver it to the airport. It was a bit confusing to check in as a solo traveler, felt sort of ostracized by the staff at first but I think it had more to do with their taxes and fees, which are charged per person. They don’t do daily room cleaning but leave you more than enough supplies (except toilet paper). Overall it was a good experience! Feels more like a hostel than a hotel-hotel.
