Hotel Amanek Kyoto Kawaramachi Gojo Reviews

It's my second time staying here. Staff are friendly. Bedding is my favourite! Very comfortable and clean. Rooms are tiny but ok for us. Location is convenient but not crowded. 6 mins walk from the train station. However the free drinks session ends at 8pm if I am not wrong. If you finish your dinner at 7.30pm, you don't need to rush back because everything is closed by 8pm. I stayed twice here for a total of 6 nights, I was only able to enjoy the drinks session once. The public bath is great too. I've recommended many friends to this hotel and all of them are satisfied. This hotel makes my Kyoto trip even more memorable. No doubt I'll come back for more.

Quite small room (Cannot open the big luggage) comparing with other hotels and shower room quite dark. But service is good.

Generally speaking the staff are very nice, especially the lady who speaks perfect English. One of the young lady was very arrogant.

It's a cosy place to stay ,not mention there is nearby transport station!

Solid stay, will recco to friends

There is a living room downstairs where you can drink drinks. I only use it in the evening. The nearby Yeochingshui Gojo subway station is very close. There is also a bus stop at the door. It is very convenient and quiet.

It was my first time in Kyoto. I carefully read various accommodation guides and saw that this hotel was in a good location. It was basically within walking distance to several major attractions, saving a lot of transportation costs. There were many convenience stores downstairs, which was very convenient. The room was small but well-used, and the bed was big, so it was no problem for a family of three to live there. There was a laundry room, but you had to pay and queue up. There were many people doing laundry, and you could see the laundry being done in the room. Overall, this hotel was very good.

The overall accommodation is very good. The room is very clean. The location is convenient and close to Keihan Gojo Subway Station. There are also bus stops, convenience stores, supermarkets and chain restaurants not far downstairs. I am very satisfied.

The location is okay, but the room for three people has too little space. Now you have to pay extra for drinking. The hot spring is average size. The hygiene conditions are okay and the meals are generally ok.

The room is spacious, but a lot of dust. Overall quiet, 10 minutes from the station. The room has all the accessories, kettle, microwave, stove. The reception is located at a different address, please contact the staff before checking in.

I went there alone and I really like going alone. The room is small, but I went alone and it was very comfortable because I could just reach from the bed to the table and everything. It was clean and the location was great. About a 10-minute walk from Kyoto Station? All the tourist attractions are a 10-20 minute walk away, so I walked all the way except the last day. It's also nice to have a bathhouse. They say they provide free alcohol on weekdays from 5-8 p.m., but it's a shame that I couldn't use it because I was outside during that time. If I come alone again next time, I want to come here.

The hotel provides free alcohol and drinks from 17:00 to 20:00, where travelers can rest. There is also a public bath on the second floor for bathing. There is a bus stop at the door of the hotel, and there is a 711 convenience store 100 meters away. You can walk to the Kamogawa River and it is not far from the Kiyomizu Gojo Station on the Karasuma Line subway. It takes about half an hour to walk to Kiyomizu Temple.
