This hotel basically meets the standard. The room is small but clean and tidy. The front desk staff can communicate in English easily and has a very good attitude. The twin room is a bit crowded but the price is cheap after all.

The Japanese-style family room is more spacious than expected, and the facilities are complete. The location of Karasuma Oike is also relatively convenient to go anywhere. The hotel will not take the initiative to clean the house and replace the supplies, you need to ask for it yourself.

It was very convenient to have a separate bathroom and toilet! The room was bigger than I had imagined, and it was sunny and comfortable! ! It was very good because I was able to use it when it was cheaper.

The toilets are always smelly. The so-called facilities are that there are no facilities, the place is small, bottled water is not provided, the carpet is smelly, the wardrobe is also smelly, the trash can is smelly, in short, durable goods are all smelly, and the outdoor temperature is only low Three to five degrees are also disgusting. I will never go there again, and I will never recommend it to anyone. People who have lost their sense of smell can try it

Amazing hotel with beautiful interior, place felt really luxurious. Duvets were fluffy and soft and I had constant great sleeps here. If you are looking for a hotel that is affordable, comfortable and located in a convenient location, this hotel is easily the best in the area.

The hotel lobby is very zen peaceful and welcoming! The room is also nice and clean. Don’t be hesitate to make a reservation for this hotel. I recommend to stay here whenever you come to Kyoto. It is also close to the huge market you shall enjoy!

The hotel itself was pleasant enough but, first down point, I was given a room on the ground floor which essentially felt like I was in a basement as it had no natural light coming in. The windows were covered up with something on the outside, I think to an adjoining room? The room size was ok, the bathroom layout a little bit odd with a wet room style shower with a bath in. Coffee making facilities were available in the room which you could top up from reception. Second down point - upon checking in I wasn’t told about the room service or lack of. Due to Covid (this was 4 years ago, you can’t use this as excuse anymore) the rooms aren’t made up, they only have towel changes. This was the only hotel I stayed in out of 5 in Japan that mentioned covid. As I put my bag onto the card that explained this in the room I missed the towel changing service, not great. Being told of the rules at reception would’ve helped. Also, don’t use a pandemic that happened years ago to excuse making up the rooms. A further down point, this was a 10am check out - why? Loads of hotels in Japan do 11am checkouts so a 10am checkout is just lazy. Luggage forwarding was easy. The location was ok, about a 25 min walk to the Gion district.

Excellent value boutique accommodation 10 minutes from Hankyu line and Nishiki Market. Very safe and quiet and easy to get around. Room decent size and bedding great. Has coin laundry and dryer on premise. Overall high recommend the accommodation

A really great experience that was coupled with a fantastic staff. The rooms were really clean too! Not to mention the fact that there was a microwave and other amenities to use. Great location too! The bathrooms were really clean too! Short walk to multiple places and the bed was soft and fluffy.

Staff is friendly and helpful with information . Location of the hotel is convenient for bus and train to attractions such as the imperial palace and the nishiki market. Hotel is clean and tidy as well. Amenities are provided as well which is a plus.

Convienient location, short walk from most popular attraction such as imperial palace and nishiki market. Alot of bus and mrt nearby. Rooms are nice and spacious with alot of amenities, overall extremely worth it for its price range. The employees at the hotel was kind and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The facility is located in a nice area, easy to move around to visit the city The room is tiny (as many hotel rooms around Japan) but clean and comfortable (ask for high floor to have more light) The self service laundry is saving out life :) The staff at the reception is a fluent english speaker
