It’s not very near the Kyoto station especially because there is no underground link to the hotel from the main station. You will need to walk along the main road and it’s not very good for the luggage wheels as the roads are not smooth. There is also no gym in this hotel. Will probably try other hotels the next time if I’m visiting Kyoto.

Propels say Japan hotel is very small room , but this hotel is quite big room clean food is ok. Nice hotel. Like it. Will be back again. Near Kyoto rail. Good to take bus Also near but to airport. Very easy to take bus at H to airport. Thank you.

Hotel is beautifully designed! However lack of lotion is odd

Location was not as near to Kyoto Station as we thought. Had to ask ask for iron/ironing board several times before they finally brought it many hours later.
Towels were not changed even though there were no signs saying that we specifically had to request for towels to be changed or to be placed onto the floor. Amenities such as slippers were not replenished.

Cute little hotel which was located about ~10 min stroll away from Kyoto station. About a 5 min walk to the nearest bus stop. Not the most convenient but definitely lovely place to stay in. Loved the interior and the tranquility of the hotel and its surroundings which was a quieter neighbourhood as compared to Kyoto station’s bustling crowd.

Early check in 😊 and everything were in orderly manner..
Booked two rooms and the room space by far was the best …
Location was pretty central and had to walk around 15mins from Kyoto Station … breakfast was great too .. a wide selection of food and drinks … is the best hotel we stayed in Japan .. recommended!

The Mercure Hotel in Kyoto did not disappoint. Very clean, central environment with great amenities. My partner and I would happily stay here again.

Because of the brand “Mercure”, we had expected higher than that. Room got several damages but staff is not aware of that. Staff was not helpful when we asked questions
Other than that, hotel is in convenient location with many good restaurants nearby. Room is spacious. The bed is very comfortable

Overall service was great. The distance from the station to the hotel was a bit far and there are no proper signage to indicate to the taxi driver to the location.

I think this was our best Mercure hotel in the world so far. Great style, good service, good room size by Japanese standards and a great shower. The location is also very good with its proximity to the train station.
We really enjoyed staying here and can recommend the hotel without hesitation. We would also come here again ourselves.

A bit of a walk from Kyoto station. However, lots of good food places nearby. Clean and comfy hotel.
