Very nice B&B, but I couldn't sleep at night because of Koreans and ********* using hair dryers and talking loudly.

It is suitable for experiencing the original Japanese life, and it is enough to experience it a little. If you want to live comfortably, it is not a particularly good choice. There are six or seven rooms on the upper and lower floors, only one bathroom, two shower rooms, one of which has a bathtub (made of cement bricks, it doesn't look like it is suitable for bathing) and is very cold in winter. The kitchen area has public dishes, bowls and cups, and simple food such as bread, butter, miso soup are provided in the morning. The wooden house, the creaking sound of walking also tells its sense of age. The stairs are steep, and the moving line is not very comfortable (but understandable), and it is also very noisy. If your neighbors come back late, they will definitely be disturbed repeatedly. In general, it is more suitable for literary men and women who travel alone and have more free time. The courtyard is very beautiful, and it feels good to sit in the corridor, although the wooden floor is not very clean.

The route wasn't that difficult, and although it was an old facility overall, the staff was friendly. The shared terrace is especially pretty.

The staff is very friendly and you can enjoy a simple breakfast. The location is not ideal, and the nearest MRT station is 1 km away; but there is a great coffee shop Book & Café nearby. I hope everyone will support it 😊 The simple meals are very attentive and awesome!

The random hotel I booked for the exam... was unexpectedly beautiful! It can be used as a studio!

It is a very Japanese-style house. It is very pleasant to sit in the small courtyard and rest.

If you want to experience a Japanese-style courtyard hotel, I highly recommend the carp house. It is very clean and warm. It is a quiet night, listening to the sound of insects and laying the floor. The scene in the film is full of various dishes for guests to use. There is also water in the refrigerator, pure milk yogurt, and fruits for guests to eat. I like it very much. If the vacation is long enough, I can stay for ten days and a half months. It is also a very happy thing to be in such a warm house. The only shortcoming is that the hotel is a bit old, the sound insulation is not good, and people who sleep lightly need to wear earplugs.

The environment is very comfortable and makes people feel very relaxed. The disadvantage is that the sound insulation effect is not very good. If you get up early, you can choose it. If you want to sleep late, it will be noisy

We have stayed at Koiya (which means small Koifish) for 6 days and couldn't have made a better choice. It is not only a very beautiful traditional Machiya (japanese style wooden house) but also offered a very friendly experience all around. The staff which is there the majority of the day is always very helpful and have given us plenty of tips for our Kyoto itenary. It also wasn't an issue to keep our luggage there for an additional 3 days as we were traveling around. The kitchen has all things for you to cook food and also with a full house we never ran into shortage of bathrooms or toilets. As its an old house it can get colder around fall but the heater in the room brought us warm evenings! Allthough the house is more in the north of Kyoto, it still has a good bus connection from the center and is very close to some of the temples and shrines including Kinkakuji. From our Japan trip this has been our accomondation highlight, especially thanks to the staff and the beauty of this house. We can only recommend to book some nights at Koiya if you are staying in Kyoto.

Lovely staff and a beautiful place to stay.

It was a very nice inn with a good old-fashioned design and a clean feel. There was a veranda in the shared space, and it was nice to have a leisurely breakfast. I would like to stay here again.

It was a very pleasant stay from start to finish. I've even woken up in the middle of the night to the sound of people walking, but that's just a matter of luck. Next time, I wanted to stay in a room on the second floor with a beautiful view of the garden. The small room I stayed in this time was very comfortable. thank you very much.
