Tokyu Stay Kyoto Sanjo-Karasuma Reviews

My husband and I enjoyed the location. Right up the street is a 7/11 where we would grab our dinner, literally a 1 min walk. This hotel is only 3 minutes walk to the Karasuma Oike Station, just around the corner. There are a lot of eatery’s up and down the block.  We stayed in two different room. One was double bed room with a washing/drying machine it wasn’t too roomy but we manage. The other room was a 2 twin bed with a washing/drying machine, this room was more roomy and we slept comfortably.  The staff here are super friendly and have great costumer service. We had a leak from our air conditioning and right away we got a room changed within 5 minutes. The hotel room is clean and the neighborhood is safe (although I feel safe everywhere in Japan lol). The hotel provides complimentary coffee, tea, ice, and water at the lobby but breakfast will cost you around $11 USD. We usually just walk to the 7/11 and grab an egg sandwich or croissant with filling (must try) for breakfast.  Overall, my stay was great and when we come back we will be staying at this hotel again.

Great location near subway (2 lines) and only 3 stops from Kyoto station. The view was nice from the 7th floor. Washing machine in the room is a plus. There even is some kind of trousers press in the room. Unfortunately there was no free bed linens change during my 6 day stay. I had to pay for one (not very expensive though). Also the breakfast could be better.

We had a great experience staying in this hotel.Our room has everything including Microwave and washing machine😍. Nice interior,comfortable beds and all the staff are very polite and kind. We had the best breakfast eveyday!! Both japanese and western food are available. I booked 3 hotels during our Japan trip and Tokyu Stay Karasuma is no.1.😁

The location is ordinary, not very close to the station or bus stop, but still affordable Most train stations in Japan don't have escalators, so be prepared to walk a long way to find an elevator, or take your luggage up the stairs The staff can speak English well, help when needed to ask about hotel facilities

The hotel is near a subway line, and there are two 7-11 convenience stores nearby. The location is great, and the hotel room is big and clean. I’m satisfied with the price and the quality provided. The breakfast is good too. I will definitely come back if I visit Kyoto again.

It is very good hotel and is spacious for two beds room. Breakfast is so delicious and my family really enjoy the stay. Definitely recommend it.

Amazing location, staff were very nice! There is a washing machine with built in dryer + laundry soap for free use in the rooms, that was an amazing feature. Free coffee in the lobby. Breakfast was good. Very recommended

Wonderful location no matter for taking public transportation or driving (3 parking spaces in front of hotel only but it is easy to find other parking nearby). Actually the location is not far from some historical sites/sightseeing places. Excellent Japanese breakfast and the environment is enjoyable. Staffs are helpful and friendly. The room is not big but already good enough. It is clean and comfortable. The experience gave me a good impression of Tokyu stay. I will try other hotels under same group in next trip.

I liked staying there. The bathroom was clean and the the size of the room is just right for a solo traveler like me. The breakfast they serve is repetitive and there’s no bottled water compliments for each day of stay. Checking out was quick but there’s no words like “thank you for staying with us”. I maximized using their washer and dryer.

Have to mention the staff first, my girlfriend got sick and this lady at the front desk went above and beyond to help us out and find her help during a holiday. Great location, around the corner from the subway and many food places. Walking distance to many tourist places. The room was nice and clean. We had a great stay here.
