Although the journey was not long, they saw that I was a woman and would save me from walking around in an unfamiliar field environment, so they offered to pick me up. On the day I left, the B&B took me to the station. They were very honest. Knowing that I rushed back to Kyoto early and would not have breakfast, they gave me a refund (this was breakfast that I added at my own expense and was not included when booking the room).

New hotel, about 2-3 minutes walk from the station. There is aeon nearby, as well as Akechi Mitsuhide statue and castle. If your itinerary is mainly Arashiyama, this hotel is very good. It is very fast to get to Arashiyama and there are beautiful scenery to see on the way! Many people are taking photos at Hojinkyo Station. It’s not expensive during the maple leaf season, it includes breakfast, and you can even take a bath! ! The night shift counter lady is very cute😏! ! ! ! ! And English is very good! Single decisive exchange phone numbers! The room was clean. There were no people on the street at night. My view was of the hotel and apartment opposite, but the space in the middle was very open and felt comfortable. In addition to the TV cabinet, there is also a table for guests to put things on when dining, as well as a small sofa and a chair. Add points! ! ! In addition, the breakfast is also delicious. Most of the guests I see are Japanese. It takes two minutes to the subway station, and there is also aeon, Mitsuhide Akechi statue and castle nearby. It’s not too far from Kyoto Station, a 30-minute drive.

This station is a big station, only 30 minutes from Kyoto stops, about 15 minutes. Generally, the tour will go to this station and take a cruise ship Baojinchuan. I want to go to the overpass early in the morning, and I want to go to the same two-jo Kyoto. I don't go to the station and I can take the bus for more than half an hour. The north exit of the station is only 1 minute away. The nearest convenience store is the station. There is an Aeon supermarket and a restaurant within 5 minutes of the south exit of the station until 11 o'clock. Single rooms are the size of a Japanese business hotel, absolutely no 17 square meters. Breakfast starts at 6:45, and there is a rice ball to take away in a hurry.

My wife’s birthday trip at the Suiran was a dream come true. With successive Covid cancellations, it took us four years of planning, but it was worth the wait. With their traditional Japanese structures and landscaping, the Suiran was our oasis of calm during Kyoto’s busiest season (cherry blossoms). We enjoyed a wonderful dinner and the best breakfasts of our lives in their dining room, and blissful riverside happy hours in their cafe. Our comfortable room had all the amenities, and a soothing minimalist aesthetic. The Suiran staff is spectacular: thoughtful, gracious, attentive. Through our years of planning and days of enjoyment, we were guided by Suiran’s chief concierge, Hiromi Maruyama. Her kindness, patience, and expertise added greatly to the success of our time in Kyoto. Her suggestions and insights, and good spirits were a beacon shining our way.
